Ramblers Lodge Reviews

Emma
The cottage was lovely, really spacious and perfect for relaxing. The hot tub in the evening was stunning!
James
We had a lovely couple of nights staying at the lodge with the dogs. The hot tub was a real treatand everything was spotless. Thanks for organising the birthday balloon and banner, plus sending his phone back - top service all round!
Emma
Really relaxing spot, with lots nearby-shops and takeaways just a short drive away. Lovely!
Emma Clarke
We really enjoyed our stay here! The setting was quiet and relaxing, yet not far from shops and attractions. The lodge itself was spotless, cosyand had all we needed - loved the dog treats and towel as a little extra. It’s a shame we couldn’t walk the dog in the nearby woods, but there were plenty of nice places a short drive away. Would definitely recommend for a chilled-out break!
Alex
We had a great time! The place was super tidyand the hot tub was pristine. Only thing is, the TV in the bedroom is a bit outdated and small compared to the nice one in the dining room. Not a big deal really. We loved it and will definitely return!
Martin
Really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and stunning scenery all around us.
Emma
Honestly, we weren’t too impressed with the cleanliness when we arrived. There was a dog wee soaked mat that we mentioned to reception, but they didn’t bother to change it, just apologised and said someone would. We had to leave it outside on the decking. The hot tub’s temperature button was broken, which was a bit of a letdown. The lodge itself was decent but definitely not luxurious. Also, all the nice walks nearby seem cordoned off, so unless you’ve got a car, you’re stuck. On the bright side, the bed was super comfy. Overall, it was okay, but probably a 5 or 6 out of 10 from us.
Alex
We really enjoyed our stay! The cottage was spotless and charming, with a lovely touch from the owners-some chocolates waiting for us. It was perfect for a relaxing weekend, though the wifi was a bit patchy. Honestly, it was nice to disconnect for a bit. We’d definitely come back!
Emma
The place was so calm and relaxing, easy to find and check in. Also, the cafe nearby makes lovely cake!
Emily
Our first trip with the puppy and honestly, it went really well. The place was lovelyand the area was perfect for walks. They even gave him his own towel and treats, which was such a thoughtful touch. We’ll definitely be back!
Emma
Super comfy stay, spotless rooms, lovely peaceful spot
Emma Carter
Really enjoyed our visit
Emma
The lodge was really charmingand the hot tub was a lovely touch. Peaceful surroundings, perfect for relaxing walks in the forest nearby. We'd love to return!
Emma
We loved the beautiful cabin and the lovely spot it’s in, especially the hot tub which was just perfect. The place was quite well stocked, though it wasn’t spotless - lots of dog hairs from previous guests and some spiders around, which isn’t great if you’re not a fan. There was also no response from the night warden when a loud wedding party was happening nearbyand the noise continued past 11pm, which was pretty disruptive. Wi-Fi was also a bit of a letdown. And if they’re going to suggest plastic cups for the hot tub, they should actually supply them!
