This was our second time staying here and were already talking about when well go back. A beautiful house which has everything you could possibly need. Really clean, lovely and warm, amazing views and lots of things to do nearby. Thank you for a great week!
Melanie
This was probably one of the best cottages we've stayed in. It was spacious inside and out. The views were stunning, the location was handy to nearby towns and villages and not too far from Dundee. David & Elaine were very welcoming and went the extra mile with the welcoming hamper and pooch extras. The facilities are great and as a family we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will definitely book again. 1010

House is absolutely stunning and much bigger than the photos portray online. Finished to a very high standard and was perfect for my family and our dogs. Has everything you need for cookingbaking. The library with books games jigsaws is great. Bed linen is lovely and perfect fluffy towels. David was extremely responsive and accommodating. Absolutely no complaints or tips stayed in a lot of cottages over the years and this is by far the best of the bunch. David and Elaine have thought of everything for a perfect stay for the hoomans and furbabies. We will be back
Nicholas
Lovely house with high spec features and furnishing. Possibly even more spacious than it appeared from the photos, and definitely a place we would love to return to. Owners great in terms of providing directions, local recommendations and info and flexibility.

We had a fantastic week staying at whitehouse woodwrae. The house is large & spacious with plenty of room for 6 without being on top of each other. Beds are very comfortable best we've slept on being away from home. Cooking facilities are home from home had everything in the kitchen to make meals. The whole house was clean & welcoming with a goody basket on arrival for us & our dogs who loved the outside garden. Hot tub is a great bonus after a day of exploring the area. We will definitely be back.
Charlotte
Great well appointed property with absolutely everything you need. Very high spec for everything comfy beds and great bath and showers. Really helped having the boot room too. The views are gorgeous including all the birds and other wildlife. Lots of great places to visit locally without having to go too far afield. Great having owners next door they were there if we needed them. Very responsive to messages. Thoroughly recommend this property you absolutely wouldn't be disappointed. Could have spent the whole holiday looking out at the Glens, the animals with just an occasional dip in the hot tub.
Our stay at Woodwrae, Whitehouse was absolutely fantastic. The house is spacious, well thought out, comfortable and has everything thought of. The views from the hot tub and the front windows are amongst the best we've ever had, even witnessed deer running through the fields on a couple of occasions. It's safe to say that the place stole our hearts, and we will definitely be back again, the hosts David & Elaine are lovely people, very approachable and nothing is too much trouble. Overall 10 out of 10!
Beautiful property on a quiet farm. Views were wonderful, saw some red kites and swallows every day. Hot tub was amazing too and we spent a few evenings watching shooting stars from it. House is a great size with lots of space, beds were incredibly comfortable. Lots of thoughtful touches throughout the house to make it perfect.

We absolutely loved our 2 week stay at Woodrae. The cottage itself has everything you need to be kept more than comfortable. The views from the decking are beautiful. The photos on the website do not do the place justice though as the property is much bigger than it looks! We simply loved it and didnt want to go home. The hosts made it clear that should we need anything then all we had to do was ask. They left us to our own devices whilst checking that we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The whole stay was absolutely perfect. 1010 for the property and the hosts!
Debbie
House and facilities were perfect. The property is homely and comfortable with plenty of space for everyone. Every single thing you could need as everything had been thought of by the owners. Perfect relaxing stay and we couldnt have asked for anymore. Would definitely stay again
Amazing house and setting. Comfortable house and hot tub. Everything we needed for our stay

Only slight improvement Id like to see is to improve road to the house, quite a lot of bumps and loose stones other than that the place is perfect, would definitely look to book again, so peaceful and really well appointed with some really thoughtful touches, highly recommended
Had a fantastic time, view's amazing! Welcome pack was lovely and information pack was spot on. Thank you for a lovely week very relaxing! Arwyn and family, plus Henry
Amazing luxurious property. Everything was thought out and fully provided, the views were stunning especially in the hot tub and it was the perfect base camp for any adventures we went on. We looked forward to getting back there in the evenings after a long day to just relax with the views and the fire. David & Elaine were fantastic hosts and made sure we didn't need for anything. Highly recommended.
Cheryl
This is a really beautiful property and David and Elaine couldnt have been more helpful and hospitable. The garden is completely enclosed so was perfect for the dog. The welcome pack was very generous and the hot tub pure joy. Anyone going to this property will be delighted at the size of the house and quality of the furnishings and general interior. I cant recommend it highly enough. It is the best Sykes property we have ever visited.

Booked as a family holiday with daughter, soninlaw and two grandchildren 3 year old & 4 months old. The house was definitely a home from home with everything thought of including washing tablets, kitchen roll, tea towels plastic glassware handy when outside near the hot. The welcome basket was a lovely surprise and scrumptious. All the bedrooms were cosy with luxurious bedding and towels. Great space upstairs with the sofas and book corner. The open plan living room was great with an amazing view, private and peaceful garden. The 3 year old loved seeing the farmer in front of the house on his tractor and the lambs behind on the hill. The surrounding area is great for nature walks and just beautiful countryside scenery. Overall a great relaxing time away with the family. We will definitely book again!
Absolutely Amazing, we would highly recommend this holiday home, everything was first class and the Owners were informative and extremely helpful. The little personal touches added an extra bonus on top of an already awesome getaway. So many areas of this home was fantastic and well thought out, little nooks for chilling, librarygames area that we loved. Views from every room across open fields. Fully secured Garden for dogs and children, and bonus a HOT TUB! This house has everything to make your stay easy, warm and comfortable, We even did Our washing and got it dried on the Washing Line provided which meant no chores when we got home, just unpacked and that was it. We WILL be back. Five Stars from Us for this Home.

What a week away we had at Woodwrae! House is beautiful, very homely with everything you need and more! Gorgeous views, hot tub was amazing and the beds were the comfiest we've ever slept in! Lovely welcome package on arrival from the owners Elaine and David who recommended some lovely days out and couldn't be more helpful. Already looking at dates to book our next stay, can't wait to come back!
An absolute hidden gem! really gives you the feel of Scotland in the highlands. we arrived very late at night and the owner popped out to see us and make sure we were ok. heating was on which was an added bonus. the owners left a welcome basket of goodies and a welcome note. the place is very spacious and very modern, hot tub with amazing scenery and very comfy beds. 5 min drive to local town with amenities. had sunday dinner at Drovers arms, which was amazing, worth the prices! 30min drive to local beaches, we went to montrose and had a great park for kids, right opposite the beach. we will definitely be coming back.
Natalie
Woodwrae cottage was lovely. Very peaceful and secluded but also not to far from shops. The cottage was very spacious clean and comfortable. The hot tub was amazing and you can link up your music to it. Large enclosed garden which was amazing for our dog with plenty of scenery to take in whilst on walks. Will 100 be rebooking.
A gorgeous house in a lovely location, the views were absolutely stunning. The owners were really nice and friendly they left us a lovely little welcome basket and even treats for the dog which I thought was a very nice gesture. The house is decorated beautifully with attention to detail. Lovely big enclosed garden for the dog and we really enjoyed the hot tub. We cant wait to go back and have recommended to our friends and family.
Taylor
Wow, that says it all! ! Couldnt fault the place or the owners they couldnt do enough for you. Welcome basket was superb, even treats for the dogs. We have been to a few cottages over the years and this was the best by far, value for money was fantastic, its not a cottage its a large house
Matthew
Lovely property in a great location for our needs. In terms of size, the pictures really dont do the cottage justice, its very spacious and modern yet retains character, and some lovely touches throughout the cottage. Good sized enclosed garden for the dogs, and walks available from the cottage door. Owners friendly and helpful, and live nearby on the farm should there be any issues we didnt have any. We would definitely recommend this property, and hope to return soon.
Harriet
One of those houses where you literally take one step inside and know youre going to come back, without seeing the rest of the house first! We stayed with our 2 little boys and all absolutely loved it. The house is beautiful. We expected it to be nice from the photos but it was even better than wed hoped every detail has been thought of. It was really stylish, immaculate and had everything we possibly needed all week. The view is lovely and we had the fire lit every day and sat enjoying it with our books. The hot tub was a special extra especially when the baby and toddler were asleep!! Honestly couldnt recommend enough we booked to return before even checking out
What a gorgeous lovely house, staying in winter the house was very warm and comfortable, bed were comfortable, Nice clean and tidy, the view in the morning was typical countryside with deer and numerous birds all around, the hot tub is a nice touch sitting in it below the stars was fun. Owner very helpful evan when the power was turned off by SSE he sorted the central heating clock and kept us updated on when it would be back. Will be seeking out this wee jem the next time we're curling in Forfar! Many thanks again David, you looked after us

So much more than a garden centre this place is ideal for a fun family day out in Angus. The garden centre stocks a huge range of plants, outdoor furniture and gardening equipment and also has a café serving tasty home made meals, cakes and snacks. The site has a large outdoor play area for children an ornamental pond and country park to explore. Halloween and Bonfire night's events are coming up soon. The annual Fireworks Display is really spectacular.
