Craignure Reviews

Thomas
Fantastic stay, lovely house with great amenities. I love the fact it's out of the way in a small village. Great views of the harbour and sea.
Ashley
Wow Craignure is everything and more you see in pictures. Certainly wont let you down. Its definitely a home from home where no expense has been spared in the home furnishings. You couldnt possibly find a fault. Just one thing to be mindful for there is no parking with this house. However I had my 1 year old and disabled father with us and made it work just fine. Would definitely recommend will most likely return.
Debbie
Fabulous holiday let, perfect for us and our pooches. Lazy mornings, surrounding walks then evening chilling just awesome made very especially by perfect property & amazing views from the house & hot tub x

Fantastic house in a fantastic location. Craignure is a beautiful home, furnished to a very high standard and has everything you need for a perfect holiday. Sunsets from the hot tub were a standout memory from a week in Gamrie. Paul and Ashley are excellent hosts. 1010
Craignure was definitely a home away from home! So comfortable and luxurious, we had such a lovely relaxing stay. Sunsets from the hot tub and dolphins in the bay were a bonus! Ashley and Paul are the most fantastic and thoughtful hosts. We will definitely return! Thanks so much again x
Craignure is a great place to stay in Gardenstown, we were able to park just opposite the entrance which is great for off loading your luggage. The house is amazing, well equipped with everything you need, and it's all good quality and clean and had a boiling water tap instead of a kettle which was great for quick coffees. Good views from the window and balcony over the harbour, spent ages relaxing with a coffee watching the fishing boats going out. Double bedroom has plenty space and ensuite bathroom and bed must be a super king size as loads of room and very confy. Was great relaxing in the hot tub and watching the sun go down. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday.
Our stay at Craignure was lovely, from the moment we arrived until the moment we left, it was like home from home. The internal decor and furnishings are very high grade, and there was everything you could possibly need, from a fully fitted kitchen to a main bedroom with ensuite and super kingsize bed and great views. The hot tub was great and the views from there of the harbour and skyline are second to none. In fact this was one holiday we have had with Sykes that we didn't want to leave. We met the owners of Craignure Paul and Ashley who were both extremely helpful in providing us with information of the local area. I wont ever give 10 out of 10, but I will give this property and location 9.5 out of 10.

Craignure Cottage has been thoughtfully and beautifully furnished to a high standard comfort and aesthetics were clearly high on the design outcome. Our favourite place in the cottage was sitting in the reclining chairs looking at the views over the harbour and out to sea or at least perhaps joint equal with relaxing in the hot tub. The location for beach walks and headland walks is perfect as well as for exploring the local area by car. Dont be put off by lack of parking at the property theres masses available just a 2 minute walk away.

We had a fantastic base from which to enjoy our holiday. This house is perfect with luxury aspects we didnt expect. There are a few areas in the house in which you can sit and relax and enjoy different views that really help you relax and take it easy. The hot tub was brilliant as you could sit in this lovely heat watching the sun set on the horizon on the sea, absolutely beautiful. Another aspect that helped was that Paul the owner was on hand with great advice and general friendliness but not at all pushy. In summary I would encourage this as a holiday accommodation as its one of the best we have ever experienced and we have been to quite a few.
Just home from craignure and can't recommend this home high enough, simply fantastic. With some homes the photos shown hide the truth but not here, everything is exactly as shown. Top quality furniture, bedding, towels no expense has been spared in making this a home from home. The views from the house are fantastic and with the living space being upstairs you have stunning views of the bay from the windows and balcony, sometimes we would be watching TV and then find ourselfs just looking out the window over the harbour. The hottub was great and also has views out over the harbour to sea and a great place to relax after a long day exploring the fantastic coastline and beautiful walks in the area. There is plenty of outside space which is on terraces but is well guarded by fences making it a safe home for children and animals. Sorry to go on a bit but we both enjoyed our stay so much we can't wait to return. Many thanks David & Caroline
We had a fantastic week away in Craignure. The cottage is beautifully decorated and has everything you could need. The views are stunning from the balcony, sitting room and hot tub. We enjoyed relaxing and watching the view of the harbour and had a beautiful view of the sunset. The harbour is a very short walk away. Gardenstown is a peaceful place with a little dogfriendly pub, cafe and a couple of shops for groceries. It is a perfect little place for a relaxing holiday. Also the bird watching here is great, with gannets and other types of birds being spotted daily. The host was very friendly and welcoming and even texted to let us know there was going to be Northern Lights one evening. Lots of other places to drive to not too far away, including the local RSPB with hundreds of nesting gannets in May! Would definitely come back.
The property is stunning. So modern and has everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. The views from the house are beautiful and the place is so peaceful. Would definitely go back.

We had the most perfect stay at craignure. I could not recommend it more . Everything was just perfect . The owners have pulled out all the stops to ensure your stay is memorable . The standard of accommodation is more than excellent . Thankyou. We will definitely return. Dogs loved it too
We were lucky enough to be one of the first guests at Craignure which was a lovely surprise. The house is very well thought out with many home comforts thought in advance. I loved the instructional videos, making it easy to get set up and relax into the holiday. This was our first visit to Gardenstown and the town itself is really quaint. The location of the Craignure is close to the harbour, affording fantastic views regardless of the weather. The town is well equipped with a shop with pretty much everything you would need, pub and cafe. The local beach and coastal walks suited our dog perfectly. The house itself is lovely and was perfect for me, my hubbie, kids and dog. The kids enjoyed the huge TV in the living room as well as the hottub, participating in the latter every night of our stay. The harbour and bay views along with dark skies making that experience all the better. I enjoyed having the second seated area with the wood burner as a retreat at the end of the day, but also took advantage of the balcony in the morning for breakfast at sunrise and at night with a lovely glass as the sun went down. Some of the luxury features were very appreciated and we are now looking at getting our own boiling water tap! There are some basic provisions provided, so if you intend on using the dishwasher and washing machine during your stay, remember to bring some extra products. The hosts we also very helpful and only a call way. Our only disappointment was having to leave at the end. We would love to return and have already recommended Craignure to friends.
