Cob Cottage Reviews

Harriet
The location was spot on, close to everything we needed. The hot tub and robes were lovely touches that made the stay special. Heating worked well and kept the place cosy, but the cottage was quite damp-maybe humidifiers would help. We did have a mouse the whole time, which was a bit off-putting. The kitchen was small, with only a tiny freezer, no oven traysand no clocks anywhere. Also, the indoor whirlpool bath had no hot water. Some books, gamesand throws would have made it better. The decking got very slippery when wet, so watch out!
Lisa
We had a lovely stay - the place was really cosy, spotless, warmand spacious. The beds, sofaand chairs were super comfy. The only letdown was the welcome pack; it had four teacakes that were already past their date when we arrived and just some UHT milk, no other goodies. No oven gloves or bathmats either, so the floor was a bit slippery. Still, we enjoyed fantastic weather and explored loads nearby, like River Ayr and Culzean Park. Great location!
David
This place is perfect for exploring the Ayrshire coast. The cottage is cosy and warm, with all the facilities you need. The big garden is great, especially if you’ve got a dogand the hot tub on the deck is brilliant! We’ll be back.
Oliver
We had such a lovely stay! The cottage was super comfy and the garden was massive, perfect for our dog to run around. The hot tub was a real highlight, so relaxing after a busy day. The peaceful vibe really helped us unwind. The hosts were genuinely friendly and went out of their way, especially when we had that power cut - they checked in on us straight away. We’re already planning to come back!
Emma
Honestly, we loved this place! The cottage is so charming and tucked away, making it perfect for unwinding. The enclosed garden was great for our dogs to run freeand relaxing in the hot tub surrounded by nature was a real treat. We had perfect weather and enjoyed strolls along the nearby beaches. The local pub is super dog-friendlyand Preadmore’s shops and walks are lovely. Evenings by the log fire made it extra cozy-definitely a stay we'd repeat!
Emma
Cozy place with great charm
Emma
This cosy, breezy cottage is perfectand the location is just right for us.
James
We loved the spot for exploring nearby. The drive to the big house was handy for dog walksand having a secure garden was a big plus. Sure, traffic noise popped up now and then, but it was listed beforehand. The hot tub was definitely a highlight for us!
Emma
The cottage was cosy and well-equipped, especially loved the log burner on a rainy night. We really had a lovely stay overall!
James

Emma
We had an amazing stay! The cottage was super well-equippedand the hot tub was just what we needed. Our dog loved it too! Can't wait to come back again soon. Absolutely loved it!
Alex
We loved the cottage-so warm and comfy! The garden’s great for pets, but be aware it's near a busy road once the gate’s open.
Emma
The cottage was lovely and snug, perfect for relaxing. Garden felt secure, though it’s a bit noisy with the road nearby once the gate’s open.
James
We loved the cottage as a base for exploring South Ayrshire. It’s only about 15 minutes from Dumfries House, which is definitely worth a visit. The road nearby can be busy, but the high wall and fencing kept our pets safe, so no worries there. It’s a shame the estate doesn’t have clearer signs for visitors, but there’s plenty to see nearby!
David
If you ever need assistance, just give them a ring - their support was superb when our lights went out.
Emma
It’s quite peaceful here, not much nearby, so we just drove around a bit to find our way. Honestly, a great spot to unwind and escape.
Lucy
Great for dogs, really exceeded our expectations!
