Honestly, this was one of our best holidays ever! We stayed in Shandwick around mid-March and everything was spot on. The cottage was spotless and had all the amenities we needed, making it super comfy. The location? Absolutely stunning with loads of great walks nearby. Met Les when we arrived-such a lovely lady, really friendly and accommodating, even if I was a bit tired after the journey. Overall, a fantastic stay we’d definitely recommend!

Great spot for two, perfect location but a tad lacking in luxury comforts. We’re a bit older and really appreciate a bit more ease during our stay. Nice enough though!
Sam
Honestly, we loved this place! The location is just stunning, with incredible sea views and a peaceful vibe that’s hard to beat. The house itself is really well done, finished to a high standardand has everything we needed. Watching the weather roll in over land and sea was surprisingly calming. It’s so quiet and secluded, yet only a short drive to shops and amenities. Perfect for a relaxing escape, we’d definitely return!
Emily
We had a fantastic stay! The bed was super comfyand having a travel cot with an extra mattress really helped us save space in the car. The views from the pod were simply stunningand the hot tub was a lovely bonus. The place was spotless and felt really well looked after. It was spacious enough for a week’s stay, though the rug was a bit hairy from the dog. Everything was well equippedand the robes plus toiletries in both bathroom and kitchen made it super convenient. Would definitely stay again!

We were absolutely blown away by the breathtaking views! The accommodation was just idealand there is so much to do in the area - walking, swimming, surfing, cycling, bird watchingand even dolphin and whale watching. Plus, we got to see some farmyard animals, which was a treat. The nearby beaches and forests are simply superband our dogs had the time of their lives on holiday! After a busy day of activities, sinking into the hot tub was such a pleasure. There’s something special about soaking while gazing at the night sky. The family running the farm are really lovely and super helpful. We would highly recommend this place!
Joanne
Oh my goodness, where do we even begin? It was just amazing! The pod, the views, the hospitality from the owner, everything exceeded our expectations for a Birthday week away. We spotted 4 dolphins on our first and last mornings between 7:30 and 9am from the pod, how brilliant is that? The hot tub was lovely and warm when we arrivedand all 4 pods are nicely spaced so you feel really private. The walk from the pod to the WW2 emplacements was also lovely, plus there are 2 fields of deer about a mile away. Just fantastic is all we can say!
Kenny
We had a stunning view and beautiful scenery! The hosts were super welcoming and friendly, going out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. Overall, we had a great holiday here.
Rae
Castlecraig is such a lovely place to stay, right on the cliff edge with stunning views of the firth and amazing sunrises. The location is brilliant, with plenty of amenities just 20 minutes away. Our cabin was completely privateand the interior was really well done, with everything we needed and lots of nice touches. The hot tub was perfect for unwinding after a day of walking. And the icing on the cake is definitely the dolphins you can see from the cliff edge at certain times of day!
Alex
What a stunning location! The pod was so spacious, light and absolutely luxurious. Having a hot tub on the deck overlooking the Moray Firth was the icing on the cake! We would definitely recommend Castlecraig Clifftops to anyone looking for a quiet getaway. It's a great base for exploring this part of Scotland.

We had the most fantastic holiday here in such a beautiful location, watching the dolphins every day from our balcony! The hot tub was such a treat, always ready for us to use. Les was a brilliant host; nothing was too much trouble for him. We checked out all the recommended spots in the welcome letter and had a great time each day. We’d absolutely recommend it, such a great spot to explore the east coast. Our dogs loved the large grassy area and snuggled up by the log burner every night.
Kristina
We just loved this cabin! It was absolutely beautiful and had a very clean, new feeling. The welcome basket was a lovely touch that we really appreciated. The views from the decking and inside the cabin were stunning, and we even spotted dolphins most days! The area felt very private, with other cabins not too close at all. Plus, there was a windbreak and privacy screen for the hot tub, which was great. We explored various beaches and enjoyed lovely walks nearby by car; it was so dog friendly too! Everything was c lean and beautiful. We usually don’t revisit places but would highly recommend it to friends and, without a doubt, would stay again!
Megara
We had a brilliant time at Castlecraig! Every moment was enjoyable, and being perfectly situated on the North Coast route 500 meant we got to see so many amazing sights. Honestly, we could easily see ourselves living there if we could, and leaving was really tough. It has such a cosy, homely vibe. We honestly can't rate this place enough! We'll absolutely be back for sure!
Willy
We don’t usually say we’ll go back to a place we’ve visited before because we love exploring new spots, but Castlecraig is such a hidden gem that we’re definitely planning to return! The location is stunning, and the facilities are excellent. Honestly, we couldn’t have asked for anything more.
