Yew Tree Farm Reviews

This is a great property for a gathering, plenty of communal spaces, spacious bedrooms with plenty of storage space. Clean bathrooms with toiletries. A great kitchen area with everything that we needed. The main dining room is a really lovely space but there is a short walk between this room and the kitchen. A minor point but it would have been nice to know from the listing that someone would be staying in the annex whilst we were using the property.

Fantastic place, we had a great time
It was fantastic to stay at Yew Tree, we were attending a wedding in Banbury and extended to make this a great family holiday and get together. Rooms were lovely, lots of space and the home was well equipped for us. We had fun playing games in the garden. Thank you
Lovely stay at this wonderful house. Booked for a 70th birthday celebration. Plenty of space in the house and gardens for 11 adults, 3 children and a baby! Perfect to either stay at home or travel to local attractions. Play park for the children only a couple of minutes down the road. They also enjoyed feeding the farm animals. Thank you Sharon! Only negatives were that the garden furniture was a bit 'tired' although we managed to get enough chairs together to eat outside. And there were no instructions for the hot tub, which was quite hot as we had really hot days when we were there.
Having just spent the weekend at Yew Tree Farm with family and friends, I can only highly recommend. It is a huge house and beautiful gardens with a hot tub that was already for us on arrival. A welcome hamper was a lovely touch from the owner, as were the fresh flowers. He also allowed us an early checkin, which we were grateful for, as were all arriving from various locations. All the bedrooms are really spacious and comfortable. The bathrooms are clean with the added touch of soaps and hand creams with loads of towels. One downside is an extra, more central bathroom, would be an advantage, especially downstairs. We were having to share the ensuite one's but this didn't spoil our stay. The kitchen and conservatory were lovely and functional with the great airy and light dining room a perfect central area for all being together. Anyone wanting a bit of quiet time, the 'red' lounge served them well. I contacted the owner before arriving to ask if there were any fans in the property to which he promptly replied to say there weren't. However, he had obviously gone out of his way to obtain several and placed them throughout the house before our arrival! Thank you Yew Tree Farm for helping us having an amazing weekend and wouldn't hesitate in returning
We had the most amazing stay at yew tree farm, the house was just perfect for ... We had the most amazing stay at yew tree farm, the house was just perfect for what we wanted and theo the host was just brilliant nothing was to much trouble thank you very much
Nathan
We were a family group of four generations, ages ranging from 1 to 82! We have just enjoyed a lovely week's holiday at Yew Tree Farm. We found the accommodation to be comfortable and clean. There were plenty of towels provided for all the rooms, and for the use of the hot tub. The kitchen was very well equipped with large cooking pots and pans, which is essential for large groups such as ours. The only negatives for us was no ground floor ensuite for our oldest member, and a problem with the dishwasher drawer constantly coming off the rail. But all in all we had a wonderful holiday!!
We had a great stay, were very comfortable and felt that the house was very easy to live in, despite our large party. We much enjoyed the hot tub which everyone went in at some point. There were a few issues with the dishwasher in that some of the racks were a bit broken and the runners wouldn't stay on, but we managed. We appreciated that the house was well stocked with extras like salt and pepper, sauces, plastic storge bags and kitchen roll. Extras that are so often forgotten. Thank you for everything and the warm welcome. We will certainly consider rebooking at another time.

Fantastic house, great for hosting large groups. Would definitely recommend
A fabulous house for all the family to get together thank you Yew Tree Farm for making us some wonderful memories.
Excellent place for a long overdue family vacation Theo was very helpful and friendly.
Brenda
We had a lovely stay and enjoyed your beautiful house. We very much appreciated the goodies to welcome us flowers, bread, eggs, wine and milk . Theo was helpful when we needed him and our family loved the hot tub.
Great place to stay, excellent facilities and location.
Caroline
Lovely house in a great spot with the farm at the back of the property which is lovely to be able to go and visit. House was spotless and great for entertaining a large amount of people, pub across the road provides great food and the play area is awesome for kids. Hosts were incredibly kind, the Easter Eggs for the little girl with us was a lovely touch. One word of warning for future visitors is that although advertised as dog friendly, there is a cat who frequently visits the property we saw him every day we were there. My dog is not cat friendly and luckily I managed to chase the cat away before my dog saw him but it would not have ended well if the two had come face to face I would not suggest staying here if your dog doesn't get on with cats.
Brilliant place to stay. Owners are extremely helpful. Wonderful greetings package especially the eggs!. Fantastic gardens. Loads of space in the house. Enough white appliances to care for everyone. House was warm in March. Pub close by. Great place.
Michael
The welcome was exceptional with a generous hamper, fresh flowers in many of the rooms and decorated for Christmas' It was warm and comfotable, with plenty of logs for an open fire. The sitting room was large enough for 18 to play familly games or just relax.. The beds were all comfortable and the rooms all interestingly decorated with lots of African artifacts.Plenty of soft towels and toilet rolls. plus the extra towels for the hottub that the grandchhildren enjoyed. The grounds were well laid and out and will be perfectfor summer visitors. Having the farm to visit was a bonus and the hospitality of the family. Theo was exceptioaly helpful and friendly. Thank you, we felt at home.
We had a great stay at yew tree farm. There was no negative comments that any of the families had. With a horde of children in tow the caretaker on site was amazing in showing them the animals in the farm at the back of the property and helping with any requests or problems we had promptly. Close to the the property there is a great adventure playground and local pub within a short walk We would definitely recommend this property those with young children.
Debbie
This is a lovely property that was perfect for celebrating my daughter's 30th birthday with family and friends. It is nicely decorated with 8 good sized bedrooms, 2 with ensuite, and a delightful galleried dining room with a table to seat 18 people. We arrived to see beautiful flowers and a big welcome basket when we opened the front door, which was a nice touch, and the place was generally well provided for. Theo, the owner's brother, lives in the grounds and couldn't have been more helpful. I would highly recommend Yew Tree Farm.

Pendon Indoor Model Village and Railways - OX12 8EA
about 16 Miles
This is an all weather attraction in Abingdon, Oxfordshire which will appeal to all ages.  The model trains are fascinating to watch and we love the model village in the Vale Scene.  The exhibits have been well thought out and it's a pleasure to wander around this museum looking at everything on offer.  You can be assured of a warm welcome from the moment you arrive and for kids and adults alike this makes a fun and educational day out.
Catanger Llama Trekking - NN12 8LJ
about 18 Miles
This is a really unique attraction and certainly worth a visit in our opinion.  Established in 1995 and situated in the heart of the Northamptonshire countryside this attraction will appeal to those looking for something a little different.  You can't ride the animals but you can trek alongside them and enjoy the fantastic scenery.  From farm tracks to country lanes the gentle animals will carry your rucksack for you along the way.  There are personally guided treks available all year round and you will have your own Llama for the trek.
Old Dairy Farm Centre - PO30 2NB
about 24 Miles
Suited to families with children of all ages this is a fantastic attraction in Northamptonshire.  There are many special events held throughout the year so don't forget to check what's happening while you are staying in the region.  Some highlights include the lambing weekends and the monthly local food fayres.
Old Dairy Farm Country Shopping and Craft Centre - LE14 3PF
about 24 Miles
From shopping to home cooked refreshments this is a wonderful day out in the pretty village of Upper Stowe.  You can enjoy amazing views over the Northamptonshire countryside and wander around the complex of stone built farm buildings.  Each building houses something different such as the Occasions Florist, Itsy Bitsy Gifts, Hayrack Gallery and Sheer Delights Lingerie.  When it's time for a rest the Barn Restaurant and Tea Room is the place to go.  There is a small selection of animals at the centre too which younger children will love.  They currently have two Kune Kune pigs, sheep, hens and ducks.  If you are looking for upmarket holiday accommodation in the Northamptonshire area then the luxury lodges at Wicksteed Park are sure to impress.
Cotswold Wildlife Park and Gardens - OX18 4JP
about 26 Miles
This has to be one of the most popular days out in Oxfordshire and is sure to appeal to nature lovers, animal lovers and keen gardeners.  Families and couples will enjoy wandering around this amazing park with a wide variety of mammals and birds to see as well as reptiles. Some of the most popular animals are the Burrowing Owl, Dexter Cow, African Pancake Tortoise and the Bar Headed Goose.  Check out their website for the latest admission costs and special offers.
Farmer Gows - SN7 8DA
about 28 Miles
Farmer Gows is a recommended attraction in the Faringdon area of Oxfordshire and will be especially suited to families with young children.  The little ones will love coming to see the farm animals including pigs, cows and lambs.  The meet the animals session takes place every day and includes handling the animals, walking the goats, feeding the pigs and cows and egg collecting.  Look out for special seasonal events throughout the year such as the Halloween Party, Lambing and children's workshops.  The latest news from the farm is that they have some Saddleback piglets and Speckledy chicks arriving shortly.
