Cant say enough good things about this property! We had a lovely 5 night stay here & cant fault anything. It had everything you could require from a staycation whilst situated in an area with plenty of areas to walk or drive to for an explore. The owners were very helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend and look forward to returning.
Everything about the stay was wonderful. Very clean and quiet. Necessary items were all provided. We received small cake which was very sweet gestures from the owner. The hot tub was cleaned everyday as well.

We spent a great week 1017th Aug at The Hawthorns. You are quite literally in the Devonshire countryside with just the noise of the birds and animals, so relaxing. The cottage is one of the best holiday accommodations we've stayed in. Standardcleanliness were excellent. Six of us stayed of different age groups, 2 young ones, 2 middles plus us 2 oldies! Oh, and 1 dog. On arrival we were amazed by the chocolate cake, eggs and milk left for us. Also a basket with bits to get us started. We were all well catered for with the excellent facility of well equipped games barn, field for football and badminton. The hot tub and outside seating were our favourite, returning earlier than usual each day to use it. The whole cottage is beautifully furnished with no expense spared. The kitchendiner was well equipped and spacious. Bedrooms were all very comfortable with lots of storage space. Damon & Karen, our hosts are very friendly and welcoming with tips and information. All in all a great week and I could go on...... Missing the cottage with the peace and quiet already
We loved the cottage which had been thoughtfully renovated, decorated and furnished. It was spotlessly clean with plenty of storage space, a lovely fitted kitchen which was well stocked with utensils, crockery and glassware. The cake, eggs, milk and dog treats were a welcome gift on arrival. Damon was a great host, attending to hot tub everyday and advising on places to visit with our dog and to eat out.
Amanda
Lovely place, described exactly as listed. The owner kindly let us check out late at no additional cost. We will be back, thanks for having us.

We had a great week at Lambscombe thank you! Accommodation in The Hawthorns was spotless and luxurious with everything we could need and more. The site was well maintained and our dog loved racing around the fields. A fantastic place for a family ranging from 9 to 48 years old and would be perfect for an extended family gathering too. Highly recommended!

A wonderful stay in a lovely cottage, a credit to the owners for the high standard and finer touches on arrival. Damon and Karen were very helpful and friendly, we will definitely return to this quality retreat. Thank you.
Everything was great from start to finish, our little one loved the games room and hot tub. Would definitely stay again.
Spotless property, home from home comforts. Alas customer service less so. Whilst on a short visit to Exeter Christmas Market my husband recieved an very alarming call from The owner who advised our dog was howling, didn't you read the TCs no dog is allowed to be left alone. We hadn't tbh, my husband advised we would curtail our visit and come straight back. No sign of Todd our spocker doing anything but laying on his bed. I'm absolutely
What can I say it was perfect. Very clean, extremely well equipped, beautiful welcome pack. The owners are on hand if needed and very friendly. Beds were comfortable . Lovely hot tub. The seperate games room was a bonus. We all fell in love with the cottage. Highly recommend staying here.

Perfect hosts and perfect property. Thank you to Damon and Karen ...Damon even went so far to give lucas his own private paddling pool during the heatwave and Karen introduced us to Betsy the tortoise. Nothing was too much hassle, perfect hosts. Loved the rolling devon hills, high quality fixtures and furnishings and beds very comfy I'm usually fussy about mattresses. Weber bbq lovely addition and welcomed during heatwave for bbq's. Lucas the dog loved his stay also. Hot tub held its temperature well. Gem of Devon...would book again.
We had a lovely time at the hawthorns, it is a beautiful cottage and had everything we needed for our stay for a week. The farm is very quiet and peaceful. We stayed as 2 adults and 4 children, who all loved the hot tub. We also took our dog so it was handy to have an enclosed front garden. Lovely view of the countryside from the cottage. Bonus was the chocolate cake that had been left for our arrival delicious thank you
