Grove Cottage Reviews

Firstly, being notified of the removal of the hot tub only 4 days before our holiday gave us little time to rearrange. Presumably the cost of the accommodation is based on having the use of a hot tub ? The property was also still being advertised as having it. Secondly the property was advertised as pet friendly but a notice inside the cottage said that pets are not allowed upstairs. This meant the first 3 nights of our week's stay involved us having to listen to our dog whimpering downstairs while we tried to sleep upstairs and much broken sleep. Not the very relaxing holiday we hoped for.
Barbara
Beautifully presented cottage with most things needed for a great stay. The laminate flooring was a worry to the dogs! Skidding and noisy. The double bed has a severe creak when getting in and out. Makes you jump every time! The mattress is ok but beginning to lump. The cottage was beautifully clean and the rubbish recycling dog poo systems very good. Kitchen scissors required. Overall, a great stay !
Beverley
What a lovely cottage, very clean, cosy and very well equipped. All needs were catered for from the kitchen to the bathrooms. Spa was very special. A lovely holiday experience, we loved it, thank you
Michael
Nice Cottage, great location.
We had an excellent stay at Grove Cottage. We found the location was very handy for the amazing beaches nearby and for our trip to Skomer Island. The owner was friendly and helpful and the cottage was wellequipped and comfortable. Maps and walking guides were very useful. Our only further suggestion would be to include a larger cafetire in the kitchen.
An excellent and comfortable holiday property located in a lovely village with plenty of places to explore in the area with lots of beautiful beaches. Highly recommended
Eunice
Your beds are not very comfortable but however the house is clean apart from the washing machine which had lots of hair
Jackie
The cottage was lovely and very comfortable. It had everything we needed and some more as a hot tub has recently been added unfortunately weather a bit too cold for us to risk a dip Louise was very helpful and easy to contact. The local pub was very friendly and the Sunday roast was tasty.
Everything in the cottage was perfect, it was comfortable and well equipped. This cottage was one of the best we have stayed in. The only disappointment was the pub at the end of the road has been shut for two years yet still advertised on the Sykes information. This was where we would have eaten out most evenings rather than using the car as the roads are mostly single track.
Hilary
Lovely base for exploring. Perfect accommodation for couple and 2 children or 2 couples. Safe outdoor area for dogs.
Patrick
Lovely modern cottage walking distance of the coastal path and Lindesway bay which is a small rugged beach. Need to drive to all amenities but you can walk to the garden centre, sports and social club, coastal path. Great location for driving to Little Haven and others which are lovely
Andrew
A very clean and well decorated modern cottage with everything you need for a great holiday. Would highly recommend this property. Only downside was when we booked in February 21, the details stated a pub in the village, which would have been great for a few drinks and food. However the pub had been closed since July 20! But as previously stated, great house.
Geoffrey
No instruction manuals for the cooker or washing machine they could have been left rather than removed as part of Covid recommendations also no pan scourer, which made it difficult to clean pans, etc. properly. Otherwise, all great.
A comfortable stay in a well equipped cottage. Excellent location for exploring the Pembrokeshire coast.
Carolyn
We loved the cottage & the 2 bedrooms both ensuite and the downstairs cloakroom was a great bonus. Patio was lovely when we had the chance to enjoy the sunshine. The village & residents we found to be very friendly, with great access to the Pembrokeshire Coastal path. The only downside was the pub which had been closed since July 2020 which we were not made aware of and we couldnt find a shop that was 3 miles away??
Very well presented
A brilliant cottage in a lovely village. Walking distance to the coastal path. Would definitely recommend
A lovely cottage, very clean and furnished to a high standard. Very nice modern kitchen with everything you could possibly need. Having the two bathrooms was useful. Location is excellent for walking and visiting towns with some very good restaurants near by. Would recommend staying at Grove Cottage and would stay again if visiting the area.
Joanne
Fantastic cottage just a short walk to monks Bay and church, a very welcoming and comfortable place to stay.
Superbly appointed holiday cottage and the cleanest I have ever stayed in. Great patio area which had the sun most of the day. The low ceilings by the windows upstairs may be a problem for tall people. We had perfect weather and the coastal footpath is a 10 minute walk away so absolute paradise for us.
Michael
Brilliant time, despite the weather, a great break with family. Thanks
Grove Cottage is a lovely, comfortable place to stay. The village is quiet, the local pub is very convenient and the staff and customers are very friendly. It was everything it said it was
The cottage was really lovely, in a lovely area and close to coastal walks and a small beach and very quiet, which was great. A supply of toilet rolls would have been nice and another tea towel, but all in all a lovely restful stay.
Patricia
Grove Cottage is a lovely, comfortable place to stay. The village is quiet, the local pub is very convenient and the staff and customers are very friendly. It was everything it said it was
Elizabeth
Had a wonderful time. quiet location but walking distance to secluded bay. short drive to larger beaches at Marlowe. would throughly recommend
Gordon
Good walking access to the coastal path from the cottage, had some lovely meals and a nice welcome in coco's in the village of dale about an hours walk along the coastal path. Plenty of secluded beaches around the area. A good base to explore this part of the country.
Really Enjoyed peaceful location and the cottage was a home from home feel.
Extremely well appointed cottage. Very comfortable and a lot of thought had gone into the level of comfort and appliances etc. Situated in a lovely village, this was a perfect get away from it all piece of heaven
Rosemary
Grove cottage is a beautiful cottage and the owners cannot be any better whatever you asked them they always saw to it that everything was right the cottage has everything you need for a great holiday even had a present when we arrived with bottle of wine some jam. welsh cakes, also some sugar tea and coffee so you could make a cuppa before you unpacked. I would highly recommend this cottage but you do need a car to get about the roads are very narrow but there are plenty of places for others to pass even tractors. the nearest bay is at Dale it is a lovely beach and has a great cafe you can also take your dog in the food is delicious . the only draw back was we couldn't let our dog on the beach and he loves the sea. .but Broad Haven beach you can take them on which we were glad of Have a great holiday .
Deborah
Absolutely beautiful cottage couldnt have asked for anymore, perfect location for our travels around the area. Lovely welcome pack even treats for our doggie, lovely friendly village pub a minute away we had a perfect week.
Sallie
The cottage was excellent, lovely area, everything was there & well equipped. Definitely will recommend to anyone
Fantastic cottage and a welcome pack which was very nice, rural setting peaceful everything you need places to visit in the area. owners very helpful. would recommend to friends and family.
The location ws extremely disappointing. No views, a small village with too many houses in close proximity and no facilities. Newly built house which was fairly comfortable, but cutlery, decor and general ambience was disappointing. No decor , lacking in sophistication. Would not return.
We were impressed with the speedy and friendly response we received when we had to contact the owner to report a repair that was needed to a broken stair gate. The situation was dealt with straight away.
This cottage is really excellent. Clean, well equipped and very comfortable. It's in a very good position for the Pembrokeshire coast and in the village it is in a peaceful spot. Overall couldn't recommend it more.
Lovely cottage in a very quiet place there is a pub but we only had a few drinks and didn't eat there but plenty were. Perfect for our dog. We have teenagers and it's a bit too quiet for them! Good base for the exploring that part of the coast and found some lovely beaches. Nearest towns are Milford HavenHaverfordwest which don't have much to offer, prefer Tenby. St Davids was lovely and recommend boat trip aroundto Ramsey Island.
Pamela
The cottage was beautiful and Louise had added very thoughtful little touches to welcome us. We will most certainly be returning. I will also be highly recommending the cottage to friends and family.
