Pheasant Wood Reviews

Christine
Me my daughter and granddaughter had a lovely week here . Enjoyed the hot tub after long days walking. The host was friendly and would definitely be returning .
Michael
Lovely excellent property owner made you feel welcome. .
This is a lovely, modern house well equipped and comfortable. The outlook is wonderful, green fields, trees and gambolling lambs! The hot tub is a luxurious addition to an already excellent accommodation. Thoroughly recommend this accommodation, especially as it is so close to the showground at Builth Wells.
A wonderful experience at Pheasant Wood. It was outstanding in every way. From the moment we arrived until the second we left it was exceptional. Tracey was so welcoming and provided us with information on what to do in the local area. We visited Elan Valley what an incredible place! The cottage was amazing, with everything you needed for a relaxing and peaceful time away. The beds were so comfortable and the couch was beautiful. The hot tub was lovely and the views were fantastic! The newness of the place was evident. I cant wait to book again and stay at this wonderful place! 1010. Everything was perfect.
My wife is a total clean freak and this place was up there with the cleanest, best caredfor places we have stayed. Hot tub was lovely, views outstanding and everything we needed for a great few days away as a family. The owners were super helpful too thanks very much. Luke and Jen.

This property was absolutely faultless, spotless and wow what a view. Literally like going from home to home, everything has been thought of! The hosts were an absolute delight and the hot tub was loved by all, cant wait to get back there!

We really enjoyed our stay at Pheasant wood. The moment when we arrived at the cottage, we have started to feel relaxed. We had a view overlooking the hills and fields and the outdoor jacuzzi had been our highlight in our trip and helped us to relax and enjoyed the outdoor calmness. The water is always hot and heated and it made such a pleasant enjoyment during the cold weather, that was how we did our final countdown and start of the new year 2022. Our two 3 and 6 years old kids thoroughly enjoyed their stay as well and they loved to stay and play in the jacuzzi which gave us some time to just chill out and relax. The owner Tracy is also a lovely lady to chat to. Overall, highly recommend this beautiful homely cottage.

Owners are really nice! Great location for walking and biking.
The cottage was exceptionally clean, it had a very welcoming feel to it and the view was really lovely looking over the fields full of sheep. Tracy and her husband were very friendly and we had a good chat with them. It is and ideal place to stay if you want peace and quiet.

Can there be anything better than relaxing in a hot tub on a bright morning and watching kites floating overhead? A fantastic location, perfectly clean and well appointed.
Sharon
This is the second time for me and the family to stay here and as previous we really enjoyed. The owners are very nice and friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. I great little get away that we will Definitely return too!
The cottage is located in beautiful countryside. The accommodation is spacious and very comfortable. The hot tub is fantastic. The flow of water upstairs is very low and this causes the temperature of the shower to be on a knife edge between cold and very hot. But a very nice place to spend a long weekend.
What a beautiful holiday cottage in a fantastic location. They view from the hot tub was stunning. Every day we seen at least four red kites. The accommodation itself was very clean and well equipped. My husband loves to cook and everything you could of need was there even a rolling pin. The hot tub was very clean and hot and it was checked every day. Tracey and her husband were fab. I would definitely not recommend it as I don't want it to be fully booked when I want to go back. Beautiful place.
We had a lovely break. Outdoor facilities were great and the owners added special touches such as tea and milk for arrival and fresh flowers. Our only criticism would be the shower which was low on pressure and the temperature was intermittent. Overall we felt the break was good value for money and the cleanliness was excellent
Lindsey
This is a lovely cottage, the views are spectacular and the cottage has all the home comforts you could want. We especially enjoyed watching all the birdlife on the adjoining field and one evening we had a clear sky and were able to watch a fabulous night sky from the comforts of the hot tub, fabulous! I recommend a stay.
The location was perfect for a peaceful, quiet getaway. The view from the hot tub was fabulous. Kevin and Tracey were fantastic hosts. We couldn't have asked for more and will be booking again.
This cottage was amazing! Such a lovely and relaxing location with gorgeous views while in the hot tub. The lake is a short drive away which has boat rides and a lovely cafe to eat. We will defiantly be booking back here again!

Amazing holiday, had everything and more that we needed. The hot tub was amazing with great views. Very relaxing and was great for Some much needed family time. Cant wait to go back in the summer
Cottage was lovely & clean with everything you needed, the hot tub was an extra ... Cottage was lovely & clean with everything you needed, the hot tub was an extra bonus the only thing we would say is that the lounge could do with a larger television that was better positioned to watch from the sofas
A spectacular cottage in a fantastic setting. The views from the hot tub were stunning, watching the sun go down. The cottage was immaculately clean, complete with all essentials, right down to flowers on dining table. Would highly recommend staying here and would love to make a return visit next year in the summer so we can dine on the private patio. We even had several visits from the owners female cat and her 2 adorable kittens. A very quiet place ideal for relaxing.
Cottage was lovely, clean, spacious, comfortable, stunning views. Hot tub was amazing sitting in it watching the sun go down, then looking at the stars with my husband and 2 children, was gorgeous, most relaxing. Tracy the owner was amazing so friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend this cottage, and we will definitely be returning. Loads of places to visit approx. 1 hour drive away.
Stacey
We had a wonderful stay over Easter weekend. Sykes were very easy to book through and responsive when we needed clarification on the booking, the app is great. The cottage was beautiful with friendly owners. We hope to stay again!
We spent in the cottage one week. We loved every minute. Was very clean, specious, felt homely and had everything what we needed. The owners are very nice people. They left gift for us, let children play with their dog, gave us advice what places are best to visit. Hot tub was amazing. Very quite and relaxing place. We will definitely come back there and we highly recommend it to everyone.

The host were very helpful. In giving advise on where to go and what to do to fill our days we had there. The accommodation was very clean and feel like home from home, we had all what we needed from home, which was lovely. Kevin and Tracey are 2 magnificent people and the rest of the family. We fell into e with the place and would ddefinitely visit again as our children love everyday we spent there. What a beautiful place and surroundings, so close to nature is always a good thing there is nothing negative e to say about this place, wish we were still there. The Welsh people are so loving and caring and welcoming. Looking to be there next year again thanks to Tracey and Kevin.
Priscilla
Very relaxing will be going back again this year
Pheasant Wood was very clean, had everything we needed, beds were comfortable, beautiful location and views, lovely and peaceful, hot tub was amazing, owners Tracy and Kevin were very pleasant and we loved the welcoming wine, chocolates and flowers, also tea, sugar, coffee and milk. Will definitely return again and let family and friends know. A great place if your looking for a quiet break.
Cottage was nice and clean, the landlord even left welsh cake and cider. Hot tub was amazing with a very beautiful view.
Debbie
Pheasant wood was a lovely cottage. Tracey was welcoming and informative. The cottage was really clean and perfect for our stay. Hot tub was excellent. Views were stunning. A bigger wall mounted tv would be even better for those wet months when you cant use the hot tub, some fairy lights on the patio would make it look magical too. A cover over the hot tub would mean it can be used in all weather and lights over the sign to the entrance of the cottages would make it easier to locate. All minor points mind as we will be returning. Maybe next time, Tracey will leave us a homemade Victoria sponge too! He He. Loved Pheasant Wood, we will be back.
Jennifer
Lovely cottage, very cosy, comfortable with a fantastic hot tub and gorgeous views! Makes a perfect base for exploring this part of Wales, as well as simply chilling out would definitely return and recommend. Thank you for a lovely stay!
We had problems with the WiFi signal it came and went regularly. Also the twin beds were a bit narrow for a man. The bathroom door wouldnt lock, which was awkward with two couples sharing, and the shower was very weak. However, all in all it was good value for money, and the hot tub and location were very good.
The cottages were lovely both inside and out. The owners were accomadating and friendly and caring. Very quiet area and we will deffinatly be wanting to go back.
Rebecca
Cottage was very lovely and the owner was very good. The only thing was it was a long drive every day to go and do things with the kids. It's more for adults due to there being nothing for kids to do nearby.
We loved this house , very peaceful , enjoyed watching the sheep ! Especially whilst chilling out in the hot tub .we had some lovely days out at the waterfalls reservoirs and a day in Aberystwyth. Plenty of great places to eat or takeaway . Thankyou to the owners for leaving us cakes , milk tea coffee and sugar , wine and a lovely vase of fresh flowers .
Annette
Another excellent stay, the family who own the cottage were as lovely and welcoming as before. We visited some great places and had a fabulous time. The facilities at the cottage are fantastic and really catered for my family.
Cheryl
Superb cottage, very homely.
Raymond
Lovely location and the owner was very welcoming. A nice touch was the welcome pack. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing break.
If you want a quiet getaway, this cottage delivers. Beautiful views, spotlessly clean, comfortable beds, everything you need and the hot tub was a bonus. Tracey was friendly and was on hand if you needed anything. We can recommend the Temple bar in the town for good quality food at reasonable prices.
Priscilla
Every thing was perfect definitely be using again this year if not all booked up ... Every thing was perfect definitely be using again this year if not all booked up the owners where so helpful there was milk tea coffee wine and cakes all waiting to greet us
