We stayed in August 2023. The property is superb and very well equipped with everything you would expect. Bedrooms are a very good size and the extra large beds are very comfortable. If you are travelling with a dog then the both the front and rear areas are very secure and dog friendly. Steve (the owner) is very friendly and extremely helpful and Read moregiven that he lives next door means that he is always on hand for advice on the local area. This is such a comfortable and luxurious place to stay. Really well equipped including robes and towels for the hot tub, and very dog friendly too. We had a great week despite a lot of rain. It's a good base for walking, waterfalls, Brecon Beacons, and beaches. Owner on hand next door if you have any questions. We'll be back!

This is a very comfortable and well equipped property which is in a very good location to explore the Brecon Beacons, the Gower peninsula and the rest of south central Wales. Steve, the owner who lives in the adjoining property, is very attentive, friendly and extremely helpful. We would certainly recommend this cottage.

Very clean and well equipped house, Steve is a great host and very helpful and even went out and purchased an additional stair gate. Comfy seats both indoor and outdoor as well as a great hot tub the table tennis was a nice surprise and very popular with our family of nine with lots of space for us all to chill out in.

extremely well equipped, comfortable, clean house, warm and lots of parking. Table tennis and hot tub were a boost, very well situated to reach beaches and hills, would return. Owners living in next house were helpful and welcoming, even offering to meet the food delivery when we were stuck in a traffic jam.

Dinefwr Park and Castle is the perfect place to come if you like the great outdoors. These stunning ruins are one of the areas most iconic landmarks and are surrounded by breathtaking scenery and wildlife of all descriptions. There is also a 17th century mansion to explore with grand rooms and wonderful exhibits of paintings and tapestries. The gardens feature amazing floral displays and there is also a delightful Tea Room. Children can let of steam on the adventure playground.
National Botanic Garden of Wales - SA32 8HN

When the weather is nice this attraction is perfect as you can wander around and admire the superb range of exotic trees and shrubs.  They look different at different times of the year but one of the most popular times to see them is in Autumn.  With various events throughout the year such as Apple Weekend there is always something new to experience.  You can watch a 90 second film about this attraction on their website which is excellent.
Rhondda Heritage Park - CF37 2NP

Rhondda Heritage Park is located at the former Lewis Merthyr Colliery and is a popular attraction with a range of facilities including a visitor centre, an art gallery, a gift shop, and a lovely period re-constructed Village Street.  Fully guided tours are available and include multimedia presentations as well as a unique trip underground where visitors will experience the life of a coal miner. The site also boasts a children's play area and an underground experience zone.
Cantref Adventure Farm - LD3 8LR

Cantref Adventure Farm offers hours of indoor and outdoor fun for the whole family. Inside there is a huge soft play area with a separate area for toddlers as well as ball pools, climbing frames, slides and chutes. The Cannon balls are a big hit with children of all ages. New for 2010 is the Badgers quest interactive maze. Outside there is a play area, large boating lake with paddle boats, nature trails with clues and quizzes and an agility course. At only £29.00 for a family of 4 the park offers outstanding value for money.
Merlin Hill Centre - SA67 8BP

Merlin Hill Centre is a working dairy farm located deep in the Carmarthenshire countryside. Although not a petting farm the farm is still very family friendly with plenty of fun activities to keep children happy. The farm has a good sized play area and plenty of picnic tables as well as a Farmyard Heritage Centre where visitors can learn all about Welsh farm life and about the mystical Legend of Merlin. Get there early if you want to watch the cows being milked!
