Lovely accommodation. The house is so well equipped and a real home from home. It is also set in beautiful grounds with amazing views. It was the perfect retreat for our family of 15. We enjoyed our croquet and table tennis tournaments and made good use of the karaoke machine. We all had a fantastic time and would highly recommend to others.

Severn lodge was just the perfect place for our family gathering. The house is magnificent and beautifully appointed. Beautiful Manor House, tastefully decorated. Amazingly well equipped with every kitchen utensil you could think of, crockery, glassware etc, games, LPs (!), DVDs, Karaoke/Disco cellar, hot tub, BBQ, outdoor seating and gazebo. Very comfy sitting room & classy dining room. We were a group of 11 friends, mostly retired and had a wonderful weekend. Wo uld recommend the Globe Pub (walkable) and a day trip to Symonds Yat for walk, lunch at Ye Old Ferry Inn and paddle boarding.

Puzzlewood is a somewhat unique attraction within the beautiful Forest of Dean. Visitors can explore the mile of pathways passing over wooden bridges and through some stunning tree and rock formations. The maze of pathways are quite enchanting and the site has recently been used as a location for the BBC1 production of Merlin. While enjoying the splendour of nature there are many types of wildlife to meet along the way including Shetland ponies, Donkeys and Highland Cattle. A Hocus Pokus Halloween event takes place from the 24th to the 31st of October.
Bristol Aquarium - BS1 5TT
about 17 Miles
The Blue Reef Aquarium and IMAX 3D Cinema is located in Bristol and makes a great fun family day out.  The newest attraction in the region it's an experience not to be missed.  More than 7000 animals are resident in naturally themed habitats and you can enjoy wandering around looking at the 40 displays. Highlights include the giant octopus and the cute seahorses. The IMAX 3D cinema system is fantastic - you will feel like you are swimming along with the animals.

This wonderful attraction in Gloucestershire will appeal to animal lovers as you will have the chance to see the fantastic work going on and meet the rescued horses, ponies and donkeys.  This place is funded entirely through public donations and they rely on these vital funds.  Kids will love the play barn and straw den where they can run off some energy.  New for 2010 is the Aerial Runway with Jungle Climber.
Lama Trekking at Old king Street Farm - NP16 6AA

Lamas are gentle, affectionate and unique animals and Lama Trekking is fast becoming a popular family attraction. At Old king Street Farm you can spend the day with the charming creatures and enjoy feeding them, grooming them and having a stroll through the woodland. Lamas are not ridden but they can carry all the picnic essentials including tables and chairs! Lama Treks around the stunning Black Mountains are also available. 
Mendip Outdoor Pursuits - BS40 7UF

Mendip Outdoor Pursuits is the perfect place for an action packed day of fun and is recommended for families with children aged 8 and over. The fantastic setting could hardly be better far activities such as Abseiling, Archery, Climbing, Caverning and Canoeing. The site also has a fantastic assault course. Family friendly activities include Raft Building and Nature Walks and environmental bush craft sessions.

The award wining Court Farm Country Park is the ideal all weather attraction with over 25000sq ft of playgrounds and attractions which are all undercover. Come rain or shine this place is perfect for families and children can really let of steam while adults have some time to relax. The site has several large and safe areas for fun and games, a stunning Adventure Castle with slides and ball pools and a range of small fairground rides. There are also educational shows to see including Milking Show and the twice daily Bottle Feeding Show.
