Lovely cottage and very cosy for an Autumn break.

We had a lovely weekend at the cottage an opportunity for 5 girls 40 year olds to catch up and relax! It was cosy and very well equipped. The cleanliness of the cottage was superb and the hosts were very warm and friendly. We would definitely visit again.

We stayed at the Coach House for a week in August with our children aged 12, 10 and 7. The absolute highlight of the stay was the swimming pool and hot tub area which we were lucky enough to use plenty as the weather was amazing. The coach house was so very lovely and clean, everything you could need in the kitchen to make family meals and beds very comfortable. Lots of lovely little personal touches too we felt very well looked after by our hosts. Ingrid and Neil are the most hospitable and relaxed hosts and it was lovely to get to know them and their lovely dog too. We needn't have worried about the proximity of the Coach house to their home it wasn't a problem at all. Thank you for a wonderful holiday stay we have come away with great memories!

We had yet another fabulous holiday at the coach house. Every thing you could possibly need for a relaxing holiday is provided by the lovely owners. We had a wonderful holiday! From the cleanliness of the house to the beautiful pool area, every minute was fantastic. Our large dog was very welcomed and loved the local walks. The large and beautifully manicured, enclosed gardens made us feel at ease with both our dog and young children. The hosts are the star of this experience also. They were welcoming, an array or marmalade, chocs and a delicious homemade cake awaited us, and were always available for advice or a chat but at the same time non existent... a unique ability. They even provided us with some home grown rhubarb! We spent each morning around the pool area and the afternoons exploring the local area. The cottage was in a perfect location for exploring. We would highly recommend a stay here.

Excellent accommodation, beautiful local scenery and walks plus the owners Ingrid and Neil are so welcoming, helpful and friendly. Stayed for a week as a family of 5 with 3 teenage boys in July. The coach house was immaculate and felt like a home away from home with everything we could possibly need. The owners were very helpfulfriendly and having the use of the pool and jacuzzi was a game changer, the boys loved it and went in every day. Was a great base for exploring and if the weather is good would definitely recommend a canoe trip down the river. Cant wait to return

The Coach House is lovely and everything we hoped for. Cleanliness was first class, the surroundings are beautiful and the owners were very helpful. We would've liked to give 5 stars, however we feel the listing is inaccurate in regards to the swimming pool and hot tub as we hadn't expected the use of these to be restricted to certain times. This should be mentioned in the listing as we were disappointed not to be able to use the hot tub on Saturday and Sunday evenings, and to be given set times when we could use the pool. We appreciate the owners wanted to use them as well, but feel we should've been prewarned before booking.

Absolutely loved our week at The Coach House. Ingrid and Neil couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Really nice people. We've got 3 boys under 10 and a 1 year old so things are always a bit hectic for us, but this week was so good. Having the pool and the hot tub all to ourselves just made the whole experience special for the kids. After a year of chaos they were ready to have some fun and they really did. The host were so friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. They gave us great tips for places to visit and things to do close by. Great location. We have had a wonderful stay. The Coach House has been beautifully furnished and provisions have been well thought out, from spare towels for the pool, a nespresso machine, laundry dishwasher pods, and plenty of crockery so that the dishwasher doesnt need to go on half load. Lovely cut wildflowers and welcome treats were really thoughtful. The grounds and surrounding area is incredibly beautiful, the children thoroughly enjoyed the pool and hot tub as well as visiting the local attractions. The owners are warm, welcoming and have made this a real home from home. We have recommended the Coach House to friends and wouldnt hesitate booking again in the future. Thank you!

Puzzlewood is a somewhat unique attraction within the beautiful Forest of Dean. Visitors can explore the mile of pathways passing over wooden bridges and through some stunning tree and rock formations. The maze of pathways are quite enchanting and the site has recently been used as a location for the BBC1 production of Merlin. While enjoying the splendour of nature there are many types of wildlife to meet along the way including Shetland ponies, Donkeys and Highland Cattle. At Old king Street Farm you can spend the day with the charming creatures and enjoy feeding them, grooming them and having a stroll through the woodland. Lamas are not ridden but they can carry all the picnic essentials including tables and chairs! Lama Treks around the stunning Black Mountains are also available.
