No. 1 Valley View Cottage Reviews

James
We’ve stayed at Valley View four times nowand it’s always a lovely experience. The cottage is charming, nestled in stunning scenery, with quick access to the Forest of Dean’s best spots. Definitely recommend!
Jim
The cottage was lovely and in a decent spot if you're into walking. We’re more into charming villages, unique shopsand cosy dog-friendly pubs with character and decent grub. Sadly, we ended up doing more driving than we thought, which was a bit of a disappointment, honestly.
Charlotte
We had a fantastic time staying at this cottage! The host was super friendly and gave us great tips on local spots and pubs. The place felt really cosy and homely, especially with that huge hot tub we enjoyed every day. WiFi worked perfectly and all amenities were top-notch. With a baby and a dog, we loved how many places were within half an hour’s drive, including a lovely dog-friendly pub nearby. Definitely recommend!
Emma Roberts
Really enjoyed the whole experience here.
Emma

Emma
We had a lovely stay! The location was perfect for Forest of Dean adventuresand the kids really enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub each day.
Emma
Really enjoyed our stay! The location was perfect for exploring nearby sightsand the hot tub made relaxing evenings even better. Would definitely come back.
John
The views really are stunningand the hot tub was a nice touch. It was so hot outside, though, that the tub was a bit too warm and needed turning down. The place was spotless and had all we needed for a comfy stay. The owner was super friendly, letting us check out late and giving us a fan when we asked. Would happily return!
Emma
We had a great 5-night stay! The hot tub was private with stunning views of the valley, which was lovely after a day out. The cottage was really well furnished, with plenty of storage and a nice bathroom. Extra towels for the hot tub were a thoughtful touch. There’s only one pub left in the village, serving good beer but no food now, though there’s a chip shop nearby. The pavements all the way to the pub are handy, but the road gets quite busyand it’s a bit of a hill on the way back-good exercise! Overall, a perfect base for exploring the area. We’d definitely come back!
Emma
We really enjoyed our stay here. The property is lovelyand the hot tub with that stunning view was a real highlight. The host was super friendly and quick to reply. Definitely check out the White Hart nearbyand the fish & chips app makes things so easy!
Mark

We stayed in this lovely, tidy cottage with spacious bedrooms, just a quick drive to the Forest of Dean. It’s well stocked, warmand cosy. The hot tub was fantasticand the prosecco was a lovely touch. We’d come back!
Lucy
Our holiday was just amazing! The cottage is so beautiful and the view is absolutely breathtaking. It's centrally located for everything we needed and so peaceful. The hot tub was definitely the highlight and it got well used.
James
This was our second trip and it was just as enjoyable as the first one. Had a lovely weekend!
Olivia
This cottage is really lovely and the hot tub is a nice touch! The views are great, but it might be a bit overlooked once they put in those holiday lodges. It was really cleanand while there were some cooking utensils, we found we needed a few more things. They even left us a lovely bottle of Prosecco, which was a nice surprise! Just a heads up, there’s no blind in the second bedroom, so it gets bright quite early. The location is great and easy to find with good parking. Very quiet too.
James
Lovely accommodation, perfectly situated for exploring the local area. The hot tub isn’t essential but it’s a fantastic addition to the property, so welcome after long walks, cycling and all that!
Claire
Absolutely fabulous cottage! There was plenty of room for our family of four. The hot tub was really relaxing after a long day. The owners were super helpful and had loads of information about the local area to share!
Emma
What a lovely cottage! The hot tub is just amazing and we would totally stay here again.
Michael
What a fantastic location! The hot tub was absolutely brilliant, really enjoyed our time there!
