The Red Bus! Reviews

Victoria
Upon arrival the bus was clean and bedding was all set up. Someone came and greeted us and explained how the various things worked ie the wood. We paid 70 for 5 days of wood instead of the 50 which was advertised. We lost a day's worth of wood due to the owner not answering messages. So 70 for 4 days. The hot tub lid didn't fit however the tub was lovely when we used it, could have been a little warmer. The firepit was used when we had wood and we loved the experience. The children's play area was out of order so we couldn't use it. This was a huge disappointment as we had booked it partly for the children's area. We were told it was broken by the previous family staying which I understand was out of their hands however when we spoke to them prior to our holiday we weren't informed. We loved the uniqueness of the bus and the children adored sitting in the driver seat. Overall we did enjoy the stay we had. We would love to return once it has had some TLC and back to its former glory. It has so much potential.

We made the best of the stay because that's how we are. It was very expensive for the standard of the accommodation. The bus was very tired and not as depicted in the listing. George however was lovely as was the hot tub. I really think that you need to review this accommodation. If we hadn't have been can do I would have cut the holiday short after the first night. As it was we left early

All loved the quirky ness of the red bus . had all we needed and we had grt time . anythink we wanted george waz ther to hand . we had fab firepitt we paid extra and hot tub . only thing i wud say is mayb update on shower room for curtain in ther update . but 1010 hols fresh eggs . friendly goat and cat . loved it x
Quirky accomodation. Great location. George very helpful and granddaughter enjoyed playing with the animals. However, the shower area needs refurbishment or a good clean. We had no hot water during our stay and from Wednesday afternoon none of the appliances would work due to electrical work that had been carried out by the owner on the site, which meant we weren't able to cater. As a result because of this and the arrival and departure times a weeks holiday became 5 days as left on the thursday after arriving previous Friday evening.
Nothing like your advert states. .you need to update as this is very misleading. Electrical wiring needs checking as looking unsafe. Cooker filthy, bedding absolutely disgusting, upon looking under mattress i was horrified I'd allowed my grandsons to sleep on these bunk beds. Went to put them in downstairs double bed,but there were dirty tissues down the side of mattress from previous guests..Cobwebs on hanging kitchen utensils. Microwave dirty..Wood around hot tin infested with wodworn. Have emailed owner but received sarcastic email back. Ps Lovely setting, Jessie the goat is lovely, the caretaker I believe not the cleaner as I'm told some one else gets paid to do that a very nice knowledgeable man.

Arrival time off 18. 00 is not good lose a day really and the departure time off 9.00 is too early rushing around on last day as it doesn't take 9 hours to clean ut if next holidayers are arriving at 18.00
It was so wonderful. The kids had such a brilliant time, roaming free, playing on the play park, feeding the goat and playing buses It was a perfect weekend! We will be back!
Amazing place to unwind, peaceful and great views, George was a great help with local tips! Looking forward to coming back!!
Fab place to say, and George was so welcoming. Beautiful location, and so relaxing and would be great for friends or families to stay. When we ventured to the local pub everyone we met were also very welcoming and really made our stay even better. Would definitely come back.
Great stay at the red bus. Our son enjoyed every moment of our stay from fire pit,hot tube and the animals. It was great to just be able to relax and let our son and dog play without any worry. Great views will return in the future.
We had a fantastic stay! The big red bus is really quirky and great fun
An amazing time was had by all my 3 children , twins aged 4 and daughter aged 11 had a ball. Completely back to nature. Everything you need if here. A completely safe playground right out side this quirky bus. Animal and forest walks. Absolutely amazing

Wonderful host, had a great time. Would recommend anybody stay for something a little bit different.
Highly recommended. My 25 year old autistic son is totally obsessed with buses. This was his dream come true. The bus is amazing and everything has been so well thought of with everything you need. On arrival Archie and his 2 carers were welcomed with drinks of their choice and for 3 nights just had the best time. I went to visit and was even more impressed than when seeing on website. The bus is located on the quiet Gloucestershire countryside and was perfect for my son who doesn't like lots of noise. He loves his nightly hot tub sessions and the guys were so accommodating. Even on last day extended his stay til 3pm as he didn't want to leave. Heating and WiFi all worked well which I was particularly worried about. Thank you George, Lee & Jane. It has made me so happy that Archie just had the best experience. Will be booking again very soon

Such an amazing experience for the family. Our children were super excited. Everything was perfect. The location, the bus, the experience. We will be back next year.
Weve just returned from a week on the Red bus. There were 5 of us, 2 adults, three kids and we had a brilliant time. The bedding was freshly laundered and kept us lovely and warm throughout our stay. The kids loved the bunk beds hidden away in the side of the bus. The hot tub was a great addition and even when we didnt light it until 2 or 3pm it was hot enough for a 9pm dip. It does take a bit of a commitment to keep the fire lit however the owners are happy to help if needed. A highlight for us were the goats in the field in front, such characters!
We have just returned from our stay on the red bus, I can honestly that we had a fantastic time. It is set in a fantastic location with fantastic views everywhere you look. There are lots of things to do in the area all within a 30 minute drive. we loved using the fire pit in the evenings and once the hot tub gets going it does get hot! Nothing really negative to say about our stay, everything was really good. I would definitely recommend a stay here and I would come back.
Great safe getaway with my mother. . but close enough to facilities for convenience! We had a really warm welcome and will be back
Friendly relaxed hosts. Idyllic location

Lee, Jane and Louie were totally fantastic from the extremely friendly welcome and the warmest goodbye. We had such an amazing time. The bus was just fabulously quirky and the surrounding scenery just took your breath away. It was a shame that it went so quickly. We would quite happily have stayed longer. We highly recommend this place and we cant wait to go back. The hot tub was so lovely to relax in during the evening and the fire pit was so good to snuggle around. If you dont book this place then you are definitely missing out on an amazing experience.
Fabulous location, everyone happy including 3 teenagers. Hot tub was a great addition. Loved the welcome pack on arrival. Good communication from our host who shared his local knowledge with us. Overall a wonderful stay. Would recommend, it was magical.
Its a great get away for a family with kids ,we had a great time. Nice hot tub that I control the heat and 2 goats that were up to no good but made it a lovely holiday.went to caves and had some good walks so all good.
It's really quirky and tasteful accommodation! Our teenager and younger children all loved staying in the bus. Beautiful little valley. Great to cook over the camp fire and toast marshmallows. We did some great mountain biking in the area. Very helpful hosts Ray and his dog called Bear.

We had a wonderful three night stay, the bus was perfect for our family 2 adults, 11 and 7 yr old children and one very active dog. We were so comfortable we never got to the local pub in the evenings for a meal and the children loved cooking on the open fire. The welcome goodies are inspired and I won't ruin the surprise! The view when you walk up the opposite field is amazing. This bus only opened this summer, all I can say is book now, before everyone finds it!!

Great place to be and quirky accommodations

We had a magical Christmas on this amazing bus which ticked every single box for a peaceful but exciting Christmas. Me & this bus were made for each other particularly when I discovered The Old School CD, Faithless DVD and Madonna. Everything was pretty perfect and I will be back every season to see how the setting changes in warmer weather 1010 recommendation.
