Delightful small but perfectly formed cottage for an away from it all break. Views are amazing, the log burner much appreciated after a walk with the dogs and the hot tub amazing at night! Dogs catered for brilliantly with a secure garden, plenty of walks and designated fields for exercising. Caroline was a fantastic friendly and helpful host.
Leanne
Once again we had a lovely relaxed time at the barn, we loved the log fire as the weather was not on our side. Such a beautiful place with stunning views & spent NYE in the hot-tub, bliss. Hope to be back again soon

The cottage is situated overlooking a quiet valley in a beautiful location. It has rustic charm and character, was clean and comfortable and perfect as a base to relax after days out in the stunning Shropshire Hills. We received a very warm welcome and felt like nothing would be too much trouble - all we had to do was ask (except we didnt need to bRead moreecause it was perfect!). When we are looking for our next holiday in Shropshire we would definitely want to return and would highly recommend it. Hide

A perfect get away. Clean, well equipped cottage with lots of character. Amazing views from the cottage, and so peaceful. It was lovely to relax in the hot tub after enjoying local walks around Beguildy, Knighton and Newtown. Cottage hosts very friendly and helpful. Enclosed garden and paddock perfect for our dog who had his best holiday.
Jill
Fabulous location for getting away from it all.
Caroline
We had the most incredibly relaxed stay Unfortunately we didn't have great weather but the scenery and hot tub more than made up for that. It was great to be provided with bath robes too. Paddy, our dog, had lots of freedom to roam. The bottle of Prosecco was a real treat too, thank you. We enjoyed getting to know the sheep and chicks- they were so friendly! The owners were so friendly and accommodating too! Thank you particularly to Caroline and Jenny. We would love to return someday.
Helen
Tack Cottage was the perfect retreat following our wedding. Peaceful, beautiful location with the most amazing view and garden. Our dog had the time of his life roaming around; as he's reactive, the garden and secure field were absolutely perfect for him and so relaxing for us too. The cottage was cozy and had all of the facilities we needed for ou r weeks stay. Caroline our host was so welcoming and helpful, a really lovely person who made us feel at home straight away. Will definitely be back.
Judith
A lovely cottage in beautiful surroundings. The perfect place for a relaxing break
Sara
Beautiful cottage in the middle of nowhere (although there is an excellent pub within walking distance that does superb food!). Peaceful, quiet, well-equipped - clearly a lot of thought has gone into this cottage, and apart from the rubbish weather we had a lovely time. Hot tub was perfect, even in the rain, and Caroline the property manager was ex cellent. Garden is good but not fully dog-proof, so you need to keep an eye on them. Enclosed dog field is useful, but again not dog-proof.
Ruth
Fabulous gem on top of a hill, with open views over to Beguildy and the valley. Fridge in property and the use of a very large fridge freezer in the pump house. Dressing gowns were a plus along with towels, and a great log burner. Wood available along with charcoal for the bbq. Outdoor seating area, in addition , sun loungers and a large hot tub. B ed was soft and so comfortable. Gate at the bottom of the stairs to stop the dogs was fabulous. Lots of cooking pans and dishes, with corkscrew.
ANGELA

EMILY
Thank you so much to the Tack Cottage team. We were immediately made to feel welcome on arrival and enjoyed being invited to watch the pet sheep being sheered. The cottage itself is beautiful and is set in the most amazing surroundings (I didn't have to move the car whilst we were there as we could walk to the pub). There was everything we needed i ncluding barbecue and games. Our collie loved the enclosed dog field and it was a fantastic opportunity for myself and my teenager to just relax.
Hayley
Perfect location overlooking the rolling hills of Beguildy .The cottage was well equipped for us and our 3 dogs with a field all dog proofed for us to exercise our young Labrador..Caroline was very helpful and very welcoming and nothing was a problem. We had a Tesco delivery for the Friday evening which saved us taking food with us .A trip out to Lu dlow castle followed by lunch at the Lion finished off a perfect week .The hot tub is so relaxing and perfectly positioned.Would we go back ,yes

Everything about it was amazing and so carefully thought out, the garden was secure for the dogs, the hot tub was lovely and private and the field at the back for the dogs was a perfect touch to be able to let them have a nice run!

Briony
We have stayed in a lot of different cottages across the country but this is our favourite! Beautiful location, huge bed, hot tub and everything you might need for a few days away. Not just dog friendly, it is positively dog welcoming. Our three dogs loved it!
Leanne
I can not recommend this property enough, it truly is wonderful. We've had a great long weekend here celebrating my partners 30th birthday. We took our toddler, baby and 2 dogs and still plenty of space. Its in such a perfect location to relax in peace and quiet. Caroline the manager is lovely, very friendly, very helpful and welcoming. The cottage is very clean. 100% would recommend this place.
Jason
Second visit here and was just as lovely as we remembered it. Everything was spotless and cozy. Even though we got rained in, it was delightful to just relax in front of the fire and listen to the wind and rain outside. One of the big pluses for a rural self catering is the use of the big fridge and freezer in the pump house which means no going ba ck and fourth to the shops. Great place for dogs too with the garden, paddock and lots of walks
Gareth
Loved our stay at Tack Cottage. Lovely rural location with great walks from your doorstep. Cottage was cosy with all the amenities we needed and the hot tub was amazing. The hosts were very helpful. We would definitely recommend staying here.
David
Superb holiday and very welcoming hosts!
Lucy
Loved it here! Cottage is nicely decorated with good quality furniture. Kitchen is dinky, but has everything you need. Nedroom is a good size, with a comfy superking bed. Hot tub nicely screened for privacy with the most fantastic views. Garden large and enclosed, though our smallish lab could jump the fence (resolved by supervising or using long t ether/putting her inside). Best of all was the welcome and general loveliness of Caroline, Jenny and Dave (and dogs!). We'll definitely be back soon.
Elizabeth
Absolutely perfect hideaway to escape the rest of the world. Tack cottage is cosy with everything you need, in the middle of nowhere, very quiet overlooking welsh rolling hills. Our little dogs loved running free in the garden - more than big enough to give their little legs a good stretch, nice woodburning fire, very comfy bed & the water is so pu re & instantly hot it practically sings coming out of the tap. Owners are very friendly & helpful. Highly recommend, will definitely book again.
Heather
A cosy, clean, well equipped cottage in an absolutely beautiful setting. So peaceful and quiet and with stunning views from the hot tub.
Adrian
Lovely cottage, excellent outdoors for dogs. The 'servants' were very kind and helpful. Seriously, an excellent holiday. Many thanks. A.D.
Tammie
Beautiful location and cottage. With your own secure garden, it's ideal if you have four legged friends. The owners also have a large, secure field they allow you to use to give your doggies a bit of a run. Such a quiet and peaceful location, with nothing around you but sheep and the amazing view of the Welsh hills. You are not overlooked by anyone , so it's really private. A perfect getaway for two!
Stella

We stayed at Tack Cottage for a week with our two rescue dogs. The location is stunning and the cottage and surrounding area is 100% dog friendly. The cottage was lovely, the log burner had plenty of wood, the kitchen well stocked and the bed was huge with high quality bedding. The hot tub was immaculately clean and to sit in it at night watching th e stars was amazing. There is no light pollution at all.
