Tickmorend Farm Reviews

Its a beautiful property with lovely garden. Pictures does not do justice. Owners are very helpful and friendly.
Brendan
We had a lovely week at Tickmorend Farm. There was ample space both indoors and outdoors for us all to enjoy and the decor has a real wow factor with lots of extras you wouldn't expect. Luxurious and comfortable and just what you need for a relaxing Christmas with a lovely Christmas tree and decorations. A few minor issues We do feel the listing is a bit misleading and needs clarification it's not 6 bedrooms unless you also hire the barn although it turned out we had!. The kitchen lets the property down a little. The 'working triangle' is squashed up one end so we were dancing around each other a lot and a single oven is rather inadequate for a property sleeping 10. Fortunately we also had an oven in the barn, plus a washing machine there isn't one in the main house. Storage for our own food was very limited. We had some issues with the hot tub, which Matt largely sorted out for us kindly coming out to sort it on Christmas eve but it did reduce temperature every night and wasn't back to 40 until around midday. Matt seemed to think this was down to power cuts but it did happen every night so a bit puzzling. I repeat these were minor issues and we had a great stay, but for the price we paid we did expect perfection.
A wonderful property for a family break . Stayed 3 nights in early October. Weather was marvellous so made full use of fresh water pool sauna and outside pizza oven and bbq. The 2 Labradors enjoyed the freedom of the large grounds. Beautiful setting and house&barn were gorgeous. 11 adults had plenty of space and facilities were spot on . Good location for visiting area but we made use of the property albeit a parkrun in Stroud and shopping visit to Tetbury. Accessible for online shop delivery. Would certainly return age range 2362

Thoroughly enjoyed staying in this very interesting house and barn, the gardens and pool and outdoor cooking area were excellent, as were the figs and other garden produce. Well arranged for dogs. It worked very well for a lunchtime party with 36 guests, with a good choice of local external caterers. Downside Only contacts for emergent problems were both in USA at the time. The large kitchen was organised by someone on LSD. The crockery, glasses etc seemed somewhat assorted, and the large plates were so large that they prevented the dishwasher from working. The powered gate failed, luckily opened. And could someone start a movement to ban all those cushions on beds? All that said, these were minor irritants and did little to spoil an excellent stay. I would heartily recommend Tickmorend Farm.
A simply stunning converted farmhouse with every luxury we could have asked for. The property was absolutely perfect for our multigenerational holiday everyone could have their own space but there were lovely big rooms for the whole family to get together for meals and socialising. The kids loved the wild pool and the grown ups loved the hot tub and sauna, so everyone was happy. We wouldnt hesitate to recommend Tickmorend Farm to anyone.
Beautiful, ecological property and friendly owner. Have already recommended. Thank you x
A beautiful property that was actually better in real life than in the photos. The natural swimming pool, hot tub and sauna were such a great combination. The pizza oven and barbecue also were superb.
Its a beautiful property with lovely garden. Pictures does not do justice. Owners are very helpful and friendly.
An excellent property for a 3 generation, 9 family members break. Sufficient space and equipment for us to be together to cook and eat meals, yet still plenty of areas to escape to for private quiet times. The flower gardens were stunning and the large lawn was ideal for the yougsters to enjoy each others company and play. Beyond the enclosed garden was a wild garden with paths, the vegetable area as well as the wild pool, hot tub and sauna. The break was enjoyed by everyone from the youngest through to the eldest, making it an ideal place for quality 'family time'. Matt was very helpful with answering questions we had pre and during the stay.
This property is fantastic, the photos and description dont really do it justice. We had a preChristmas family get together for nine and had everything we needed and more. It is stylish and cosy and the welcome package was much appreciated. The log burners and Christmas decorations really added to the festive feel. We hope to return in warmer weather to see the gardens at their best and try out the pool.
All good except the kitchen and bbq area being under equipped with cooking utensils. do not publish this as a i have already told the owner

We had the best time at Tickmorend! The house and garden were completely stunning, and Matt was incredibly helpful in the lead up to and during our stay. He allowed us to hold a large celebration and even lent us his trestle tables to help. We cannot recommend Tickmorend enough!!
The whole experience was fabulous. The house is excellent for entertaining. Outdoor facilities for cooking excellent. Gardens are are a dellght and the swimming pool was enjoyed by all. Matt, the owner, greeted us on arrival and was most helpful with places of interest in the locality, A definite consideration for 2023.

Beautifully renovated old farmhouse with newer kitchen and shower room extension in pretty countryside on the western edge of the Cotswolds. Spacious house with plenty of modern bathrooms, newly decorated and nothing showing signs of wear. Perfect for 8 of us in three generations staying long we for a wedding nearby. Space for cot in main bedroom, small double next door felt good for 4year old. Large king room for granny and other grandparents spread out across the whole of the attic with plenty of space and cosy rooms. Stairs have high treads for anyone with mobility issues but the central oak staircase and landing is a stunning feature in the house. Two ground floor loos and four different areas downstairs with wood burners plus kitchen made it very easy to holiday and prep for wedding. Tge gardens are a joy, especially for a dog wander, also footpath immediately opposite house. Super leisure area with wild swimming pool we used daily and very nicely finished saunashower & loo nearby. Hot tub looked great but we didnt use. We entertained some old friends for lunch and were allowed to cut some fresh asparagus from the extensive vegetable patch which was a real treat. I couldnt recommend this property highly enough, it was heaven to stay in and I would go back in a flash.

Wonderful property had a great weekend stay for my wifes birthday with all the family, would highly recommend.
Sharon
The house and grounds are absolutely gorgeous with so much to do onsite that we didn't explore the local area as much as we normally would. Outdoors we made good use of the bbq, pizza oven and firepit, enjoyed fruit and veg from the garden, swam in the natural pool and enjoyed watching the swifts, dragonflies and newts that visit it. The house itself was immaculate, wellequipped and very spacious for our family group of 10 people.
Fantastic house and wonderful friendly hosts. The facilities are 5, the kids loved the pool and the pristine garden, the host even showed them around the vegetable patch and taught them about the different eatable plants. We've made good use of the pizza oven and on rainy days the games room was invaluable. The location is also great, whether you like hiking or going to the beach. Highly recommend this place and looking forward to coming again.
Fabulous house. Any questions I had were immediately answered by my contact.
Lovely place. Really comfortable. Beautiful garden. Barbecue and pizza oven worked well and gave excellent results.
We had a lovely family week at Tickmorend Farm the house was wonderful and the outside area amazing! Many hours by the wild water pool with ducklings to join us an extra treat. Boys loved the sauna and the new outdoor kitchen area was great we cooked outside every night the jacuzzi was just a fabulous addition. All helped by Matt who was always there to help. Totally recommend this holiday!
WONDERFUL PROPERTY AND FABULOUS LOCATION. WILL DEFINATELY RETURN!
Muriel
We had a wonderful time and will certainly book again !
Tickmorend Farm was a fantastic property the house is luxurious and comfortable, with lots of amenities and thoughtful touches. The garden is beautiful and we enjoyed some delicious fresh fruit and veg. And the swimming pond was amazing, with a pool house, sauna and hot tub. Highly recommended!
Great property! Fantastic decor, great rural setting and lovely village pub 15 minutes walk away! I will be rebooking for next year!
Daniel
The cottage was beyond expectations. Ourselves and our fellow guests were blown away by the size and quality of the property. The local town was beautiful with great pubs and restaurants. The local people were friendly and welcoming. We shall return.
An absolutely gorgeous house which was perfect for our weekend getaway! Well be back.
Esther
Tickmorend Farm was a fabulous house. Beautifully presented with lots of space. We loved the rural location, the wood burners and the lovely garden. If you are tall just remember to duck in a few places!!
Hannah
Excellent property and facilities, decor, light, warmth all top notch. Everyone loved playing table football! The only things were that the dishwasher didn't clean all that well, and wine glasses and other glass bottles are exactly at toddler eye level! Could use a screen or door to save on accidents borne of curiosity...
Amazing stay and a really lovely house! Beautiful gardens, the most comfortable beds, peaceful setting and so much space. We will definitely be back again!
