Maple Lodge at Bridge Lake Farm & Fishery Reviews

After a really terrible year we wanted a relaxing short break. It was definitely that, beautiful location and really peaceful. My husband enjoyed the fishing and hot tub was a bonus. Brendan and his team were very welcoming. Thankyou
Right from the start the communication from the hosts was faultless and they couldn't do enough for us. We were given lots of information about the place and our stay. The location was absolutely stunning and if you are after a serene, tranquil stay, this is the place! It was the most relaxing environment with beautiful surroundings. The lodge itself was beautiful and the added pleasure of the hot tub made it that bit more luxurious. The facilities were really good and other than perhaps needing a few more places to hang towels to dry e.g. a couple of hooks on the back of the bathroom door, we honestly couldn't think of anything that would have made this place better! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay and I'm sure we'll be back again in the future!
Absolutely surperb accomadation and location

We absolutely loved our stay! The surroundings were beautiful and it was a perfect space to relax

Maple lodge is the perfect place to unwind, relax and enjoy nature. The owner was very welcoming and helpful.Truly a unique experience well worth a visit. Loved every minute of it xx

I had an average stay, setting was really lovely on a sunny day. The pictures make the accommodation look much bigger than it actually is. We didn't have internet, hot water or matches and had to keep calling guest services. For the price paid I don't think these issues should occur. The internet was so bad the TV kept freezing even when the internet was fixed bathroom has a really strong smell of sewage so we had to keep the window open. probably wouldn't return.
Absolutely fantastic. Idyllic setting. Peaceful and beautiful.Short walk across fields to local pub. Brendan fired up the hot tub ready for our arrival..they had thought of everything.
Richard
Excellent stay very much enjoyed it. Suggested improvements 1 provide a small saucepan 2 consider some form of cover above the door ro keep rain out with the door open
Brendan and James were lovely the whole trip very welcoming and helpful. The lodge was absolutely amazing and the hot tub was just perfect. Loved the fishing as well such a lovely place.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at maple Lodge it was a nice peaceful break, the lodge was well maintained and clean. The hot tub was a nice treat as well as it being warmed up for us by brendan for when we arrived. Would highly recommend.
We have just come back from a fantastic 3 night stay at maple lodge, what a beautiful place to stay at this time of the year so I can just imagine how beautiful it is in the summer, Brendan text us before arriving to see if we wanted the hot tub heating up for our arrival, Brendan was there to meet us on our arrival and took us down to the lodge, really nice bloke, would recommend to anyone and hopefully be back in the summer.

My partner and I was looking for a relaxing getaway for Christmas. We stayed in Maple lodge, when we arrived it was dark and Brendan said we could drive down to the lodge to unload. It was very well lit up and even Christmas tres lit up around the lake. Which I thought was a lovely touch. The lodge was very comfortable, warm with underfloor heating. Brendan had got the hot tub ready for us we was straight in it. Brendan was always available if you needed anything and a very friendly guy. What Brendan and his family have created at the lake is perfect for a back to nature relaxing getaway. If you are thinking of booking please do as you will not be disappointed. Thank you to all at Bridge Lake Farm keep doing what your doing.
It was a beautiful vacation. The place was comfortable, and the owner of the place was very nice and helpful. Everything was better than expected
My partner and i very much enjoyed our stay here. Clean with most of the essentials. Very cozy, although we wished there were smarter storage built in. A minor issue especially staying for a few days! the hot tub was piping hot when we arrived thanks brendon. we absolutely loved the hot tub with the wonderful view of the lake! Brendon was very helpful and accommodating. we really loved staying here and we will be back! thanks again!! D
My partner and I have just returned home from a 5 night stay in maple lodge, we had a brilliant time. On the morning of our arrival Brendan sent a message offering to heat up the hot tub for us ready to use on our arrival of course we accepted. Brendan was lovely and so helpful, always available if we needed anything and happy to help even when my car battery died one evening he was happy to get the jump cables out and help me. The lake is beautiful and peaceful, we even managed to catch a little common carp in our fishing attempts. The llamas on the farm were lovely and let us pet them with the bribe of feeding them some long grass wed picked. We didnt want to come home and already want to return. Highly recommend.

We stayed at bridge Lake farm for our mini moon it was lovely so peaceful everything is well looked after, greeted from the gate by brendon. He was very friendly and welcoming helped us with our bags from the car to the lodge. We stayed in maple lodge and the view of the lake whilst we ate breakfast etc was just lovely
I booked Maple lodge to celebrate my partners birthday and it truly was an amazing relaxing weekend. The lodge itself had everything you needed. Brendan was a fabulous host very polite and helpful. We loved everything the lake, the lodge and the hot tub. We will definitely be coming back. Thank you I have already recommended to my friends.
Very clean and well maintained property with excellent outdoor space and good fishing. The owner, Brendan, was very helpful and takes a pride in the small complex of lodges. We stayed for a week with mixed weather and felt that the lodge was a little too cramped when the weather prevented use of the outdoor space.
An absolutely beautiful and tranquil holiday lodge, thank you for your hospitality, it was really nice to be welcomed and taken to the lodge and have everything explained to us. Nice friendly family run business

We had an amazing stay at Maple lodge and we would love to return one day again in the future. Brendan was very friendly and showed us to our lodge, picking us up in his golf buggy and taking us and our bags to our lodge. Everything was as advertised and just wonderful and relaxing. The hot tub was ready for us on arrival and lovely to relax in whilst looking at the lake. We had a very relaxing stay and I loved having breakfast on our porch in the early morning overlooking at the lake and watching the dragonflies. Any queries we had were resolved straight away by Brendan. We enjoyed walking to the surrounding villages too, all very easy and enjoyable. Would 100 recommend staying here and we hope to return one day soon. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

The property is equipped with everything you could possibly need to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Loved that the hot tub is heated and ready for our arrival. Enjoyed cooking dinner on the bbq and lighting up the fire pit in the evening. Lovely local restaurants. Such beautiful surroundings, So peaceful. Very clean. Owner is very helpful and friendly. Im sure we will visit for a third time at some point in the future. Love this place.
For us this was an excellent holiday choice as it was a beautiful location on a lake and very restful. A big bonus was a cycle path of approximately 3 miles that led to a very famous and popular food hall! The hot tub was also a great asset, after a day of cycling, it was most restorative. It is a very good base for visitng many popular tourist attractions. We would definitely return to the lodge.
Just been on a short break with my girlfriend, couldn't have asked for anything better! Lovely little lodge with all the facilities you need. Beautiful location & we were well looked after by Brendan our host. Will be returning!
What a fantastic getaway we had, everything was ready for our arrival and explanation how to work everything. Such a beautiful location and amazing hosts made our few days for our anniversary perfect!
Just returned from 5 night stay Maple lodge , Bridge lake farm and fishery. What an amazing and relaxing experience the lodge was comfortable with everything you need, from a nice long soak in the hot tub, sitting around the fire pit BBQ or just relaxing on the decking listening to the birds sing, Brendan his family and team have done a great job and are available at any time for any questions Highly recommend
Lesley
Maple lodge was really lovely. Excellent facilities in the lodge with decking , hot tub and fire pit outside to enjoy. Private and romantic. Quite secluded but there are walks to enjoy plus restaurants and pubs also. All details supplied in a handy booklet in the lodge. Very clean. Well maintained site. Would highly recommend for a romantic break.
We had an amazing 2 days , so peaceful and quiet just the relaxing time we needed , the owners were so accommodating and couldn't do enough for us . Would highly recommend to anyone looking to get away and reset and we will definitely be visiting again soon .
What a lovely place! great for wildlife & quiet for getting away from the busy outside world & relaxing with the view over the lake. Brendan keeps the site in perfect order & is always on hand to make your stay comfortable. The cabin was well designed with quality equipment & perfect for two while the hot tub was great in the evenings. Fishing was lively with loads of smaller tench, carp & roach but didn't manage to catch the larger carp. A short walk over the fields to the pretty village led to a good pub with friendly owners while 10min away is the pretty canal village of cropready & 40 min gaydon historic motor museum. Would definitely recommend this property & not hesitate to return.
Fantastic short break. Meeted and greeted on arrival. 'Brendan' was very helpful, knowledgeable and even chauffeured us from the car park to the lodge. The accommodation was spotless and the hot tub was amazing. Would highly recommend, will definitely be returning. Thanks again 'Brendan' Lee

We had a super 5 night stay at Maple Lodge for my husband's 60th Birthday. Everything was just as advertised, the lodge was spotlessly clean and well equipped, down to lovely thick white robes for the hot tub. The setting is stunning and the hot tub and fire pit were a definite asset, enjoyed every evening. My husband fished every day and thoroughly enjoyed the experience, finally catching an elusive carp on his last day! Though you don't need to fish to enjoy your time at Bridge Lake Farm. If you are looking for a calm, chilled, relaxing break away from it all, this is the place to go!
We had the most wonderful stay at Maple Lodge, the setting is beautiful and so tranquil. Our lodge was spotless and had everything we needed during our stay. The bath robes and teacoffeebiscuits were a nice touch too. The fire pit and hot tub were fantastic in such a beautiful setting. Brendan was a great host and was always nearby should you need anything. We wish we could have stayed longer but we will definitely be back. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Weve just got home from the most fantastic 4 days in Maple Lodge! I cannot thank them enough for the extra mile they went to help me get my husbands birthday weekend off to the best start! The lodge was stunning and had everything we needed. Other than an evening to the pub for a birthday dinner we had everything we needed at the lodge and spent everyday in the hot tub. Theres something truly magical about Bridge Lakw, especially sitting in the hot tub watching the rain on the lake or watching the sun rise with a cup of coffee when everything is silent. We had such a fantastic time weve recommended to family and currently looking at a winter weekend stay as we can only imagine how stunning it is in the winter!
Amazing place for a relaxing weekend away. High spec accommodation, friendly and helpful owner who fis everything possible to make our stay fabulous. The hot tub was fantastic and stayed warm for hours. A beautiful part of the world too, would highly recommend.
A very enjoyable and relaxing place to stay the peace and quiet made the break ... A very enjoyable and relaxing place to stay the peace and quiet made the break even better from arrival to departure Brendan was extremely helpful and nothing was to much trouble Keith &terri 28423
Had such a wonderful stay at Maple Lodge! The most relaxing and peaceful couple of days. Would definitely stay again! Definitely recommend
We have just returned from a 5 night stay at Maple Lodge at Bridge Farm and it was truly a 5 star stay. Brendan is an amazing host who could not be more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and he goes over and above to ensure guests have a good stay. The accommodation is well maintained and has everything you need down to your own bath robes. The location is stunning and the perfect peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. We have no hesitation in giving this 1010 and cant wait to go back. Thank you Brendan
We will be back absolutely perfect
Ten reasons to choose Bridge Lake Farm 1. The host faciliated an early check in and preheated the hot tub ready for our arrival. 2. The host provdied a warm greeting on arrival and helped with parking and taking our luggage to the lodge. 3. The lodge had suitable underfloor heating which we could regulate, and that kept us warm when outside temperature was below freezzing. 4. The lake provides a beautiful and relaxing view from the ldoge. 5. Privacy is repspected suitable blides on windows, a curtained gazebo outside and significant space between other lodges. 6. The lodge is close to picturesque local towns. We took advantage of the location and went on day trips to Oxford, Cotswold towns and Bicester shopping villiage. 7. The welcom folder contains infromation about local restaurants, pubs and village walks. We did the 11km pub walk. Please note, if you choose to do this walk not all pubs are open on Mondays and the Plough is no longer a pub and has been converted to a house. 8. The lodge itself is modern. We had access to wifi, Netflix and Prime this meant we didnt struggle with any first world problems. 9. The host was quick to respond to texts, always answered the phone and its clear he loves to make guests feel welcome, and, like us, want to come again. 10. Perfect stay for a romantic getaway or anniversaries.

Catanger Llama Trekking - NN12 8LJ

This is a really unique attraction and certainly worth a visit in our opinion.  Established in 1995 and situated in the heart of the Northamptonshire countryside this attraction will appeal to those looking for something a little different.  You can't ride the animals but you can trek alongside them and enjoy the fantastic scenery.  From farm tracks to country lanes the gentle animals will carry your rucksack for you along the way.  There are personally guided treks available all year round and you will have your own Llama for the trek.
Old Dairy Farm Centre - PO30 2NB
about 12 Miles
Suited to families with children of all ages this is a fantastic attraction in Northamptonshire.  There are many special events held throughout the year so don't forget to check what's happening while you are staying in the region.  Some highlights include the lambing weekends and the monthly local food fayres.
Old Dairy Farm Country Shopping and Craft Centre - LE14 3PF
about 12 Miles
From shopping to home cooked refreshments this is a wonderful day out in the pretty village of Upper Stowe.  You can enjoy amazing views over the Northamptonshire countryside and wander around the complex of stone built farm buildings.  Each building houses something different such as the Occasions Florist, Itsy Bitsy Gifts, Hayrack Gallery and Sheer Delights Lingerie.  When it's time for a rest the Barn Restaurant and Tea Room is the place to go.  There is a small selection of animals at the centre too which younger children will love.  They currently have two Kune Kune pigs, sheep, hens and ducks.  If you are looking for upmarket holiday accommodation in the Northamptonshire area then the luxury lodges at Wicksteed Park are sure to impress.
Cotswold Wildlife Park and Gardens - OX18 4JP
about 27 Miles
This has to be one of the most popular days out in Oxfordshire and is sure to appeal to nature lovers, animal lovers and keen gardeners.  Families and couples will enjoy wandering around this amazing park with a wide variety of mammals and birds to see as well as reptiles. Some of the most popular animals are the Burrowing Owl, Dexter Cow, African Pancake Tortoise and the Bar Headed Goose.  Check out their website for the latest admission costs and special offers.
