Pentre Hall Reviews

Beautiful house located in a stunning part of England. It was extremely comfortable, very well appointed and the owner James was very welcoming and helpful. We followed their advice about booking a pub for Sunday Lunch and had an excellent meal at The Docks at Selattyn too. Cant fault this one in any way! Thank you so much.
From the moment of booking, James provided us with lots if information re places to visit and places to eat along with some history of this beautiful house. On arrival we were made to feel welcome by Helen. A hamper of goodies awaited us and every small detail was catered for. Hot tub was ready for use, towels were provided along with doggy towels, tissues in every room, torches in case of a power cut and ample toilet rolls and hand soap. The beds were exceptionally comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. We loved learning about the history of the house and the area and we highly recommend this property and would definitely book again. Thank you James and Helen for letting us use your beautiful home.
A hidden gem. We had a wonderful family weekend at Pentre Hall, it was a perfect base for our time in Shropshire. Beautiful setting, intriguing and handsome historic house with all modern facilities. Everything we could have wished for including a generous welcome pack. James was incredibly informative and helpful both before and during our stay. His local knowledge certainly enhanced our visit. Have already recommended Pentre Hall to family and friends.

We were looking for a long weekend, something close to nature, walks and activities. Somewhere we could all go together as a family and friends, which included 2 pet dogs, a puppy guide dog, a toddler and adults. Somewhere we could host a murder mystery dinner party. But somewhere we would each have our own space without feeling on top of eachother. We found all of this and more at Pentre Hall Bronygarth! James & Helen are fantastic hosts. They have thought of all the fine details within the property and in the gardens too. Their communication before and during the stay was brilliant and they were more than happy to assist us with anything we needed. Each bedroom was spacious, each of our guests had their own bedroom with an en suite shower room and the 2 King Size rooms shared the family bathroom. There is a downstairs toilet. Log burning fires. 2 lounge areas and a huge dining area. Outside there is lots of space for the dogs to run around. Plus a gorgeous wood burning hot tub. Some of my favourite and unexpected details Tissue box in each room Separate towels for hot tub. Blankets towels for dogs. Essentials in the bathroom. Lots of games and books. Badminton net and rackets outside. Lovely welcome hamper. Washing up and laundry essentials Ample toilet rolls. Fully equipped kitchen with super fast oven. I would recommend this stay to any type of family as it has something to suit everyone's needs and interests.

My friends and l had a lovely time in the house and the surrounding area great place to eat and place of interest to visit.
A really homely and comfortable house. Kitchen really well equipped and a super welcome pack awaited us. Our host was welcoming, friendly and keen to ensure we got the most from our stay. Lovely garden with hot tub, badminton and outdoor table for al fresco eating, and summer house. Lots of places to visit in the locality including National Trust properties, and towns like Llangollen, and Oswestry,

This is an exceptional vacation property it's beautifully renovated, truly historic, located in a glorious part of the country, and run by very friendly, thoughtful, and helpful owners. The whole family enjoyed every aspect of our tenday stay. The house is comfortably furnished, spacious, and very well equipped the hot tub is a lot of fun and the summer house, garden, games and books were truly appreciated. The location is quiet, but not remote and the views all around the house are spectacular. It would be difficult to find fault with Pentre Hall or any aspect of it. We intend to come back, and we enthusiastically recommend the property for all who appreciate access to glorious walks, nice pubs and historic landmarks, cultural heritage, country life, and good living.

Absolutely beautiful location with an amazing country home feel, if you are looking for a real English country get away, Pentre Hall delivers beyond expectations. Ownerhosts very detail oriented and attentive. If I could, I would add extra stars. Our week stay was the highlight of a month long tour through the UK. Pentre Hall was a fantastic place to stay. It's even better than it looks in the photos, spotlessly clean, incredibly well equipped and the grounds were beautiful. The spcial space and ammenties made it an excellent house to stay in with some friends for the weekend. James was also a really lovely and knowledgeable host. Thank you for having us!
Maggie
We stayed at Pentre Hall for a long weekend in May 2024. It was a great place to relax and enjoy our short break. There were fantastic views across the countryside, inside the property was well equipped and was a knife sharpener away from perfect. The refurbishment of the property was to an excellent standard and maintained all its period features. The owner, James, gave us a great introduction to the property and its history, and also the best places to visit within walking distance and further afield. We would definitely stay here again. Maggie and Peter
This has to be one of the nicest homes I have stayed in. Rich in history, situated on a beautiful valley with fantastic views and stunningly quiet except for birdsong. James and Helen have created a superb residence for a family holiday or in our case an excellent venue for a friends reunion. The house and furnishings are all top end and every item one could think of is supplied. Great well equipped and functional kitchen is at the heart of the house with large dining room and sitting room. The bedrooms are all very special including the rooms and further sitting room cinema size tv in the eaves of the house. Off road parking and extensive gardens including a log fired hot tub add to the overall excellence of the property. James is very helpful in offering advice on the myriad activities in the area plus pointing you in the right direction for eating out locally.
Stunning I think this was one of the nicest places I have ever stayed. The property was spotlessly clean & had everything you could possibly want to make your stay comfortable. The hot tub was a delight. The views from the hot tub meant we never wanted to get out! It was just a beautiful place to stay, we felt so welcome & we will definitely book again soon. I cannot recommend this place enough. An absolute hidden gem.
Amazing hosts and a fantastic, very grand venue. The welcome pack was amazing and came with a detailed information pack for the area that really helped us during our stay. The hot tub and out house is faultless, and the huge dining table was a joy to get everyone round for meals. The hosts are very friendly and can't do enough for you. Highly recommended.

Pentre Hall is one of the loveliest places we have stayed. It was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The outside area is beautiful and the owners made us very welcome. I cannot recommend it highly enough.
Claire
Superb accommodation and a very well equipped. We have stayed in many self catering properties over the years and Pentre Hall was a firm family favourite. The hot tub was an added luxury and owners very approachable. A good area to access a variety of places to visit. We had a wonderful week and would love to return again in the future.
Elaine
We would highly recommend Pentre Hall, 7 of us have just returned from a 3 night stay and I honestly cant think of anything that the lovely owners hadnt thought of. James met us at the property and was extremely helpful regarding the local area. The property is stunning inside and out and has been decorated and furnished to high standard. We would definitely return.
Amazing from start to finish. Never ever write reviews but in this case I just cant not. Every finer detail taken care of, will definitely be booking again and already recommended to family, friends and work colleagues.
