The Coach House Reviews

Derena
The property was lovely well equipped and we loved the lemon drizzle cake that was kindly left. We didn't think the cottage was secluded like it said as there is a very large house over looking the cottage, also needed some maintenance repairs to the lights, cooker fan and toilet. But we did have a lovely time very clean and lovely lady who owns the property.
Miriam
A brilliant house. Just big enough. We used everything the house had to offer including the washing machine, hot tub and EV charger. Everything we needed.
Robert
Had a lovely stay here with my partner and our two dogs, it was very clean and perfect. The hot tub was great and the cottage was so lovely. We spent a night at the local pub for some food and drinks, which was a short walk. We would highly recommend.
Simply perfect! Beautiful cottage, equipped with everything you would want or need, gorgeous surroundings, hot tub is amazing, easy access to many places but the icing on the cake is walking distance to two brilliant pubs! Cannot recommend this place enough, we didn't want to leave and will definitely be back again!
Lovely little cottage, very comfortable and wellequipped. We chose the location as a base for sightseeing and it proved to be a good choice. The EV charger was a blessing and the hot tub a treat. The hosts were very helpful both before and during our visit, striking a good balance between availability and giving us privacy. Pros quiet yet accessible, hub for daytrips, great wifi, well equipped Cons cant think of any!
My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend at the Coach House. The property is clean, has everything you are likely to need, the hot tub is a luxurious and much enjoyed extra, the location is peaceful and quiet and the local pub is a few minutes walk away. A great place to stay.
We had a lovely stay. .everything we needed and more
Nicola
We had a fantastic few days away. The cottage was very clean & comfortable and the owners were both very welcoming and friendly, including leaving us a very tasty lemon drizzle cake for our arrival. The village where the property is situated was pretty and quiet with good places to eat out very local. The enclosed garden was also perfect for our two dogs.
Stephen
We found it to be a fantastic cosy little cottage in very peaceful surroundings. Clean and well kept inside and outside with everything you need to hand inside. Private parking literally beside the property with a Type 2 charger. Private garden to rear with hot tub which we never used just down to the fact we were cosy inside. There's a very large garden to one side which is good for walking the dog if you don't want to venture further afield. We did venture out and found two pubs literally a 5 to 10 min walk, both great for food and beers. A nice touch was the lemon drizzle cake we found upon arrival but even better was the teapot with cosy we discovered tucked away. We never supped so much tea. I thoroughly recommend The Coach House.
Yvonne
Beautiful cottage which was spotlessly clean, hot tub brilliant, wood burning stove was so nice, welcome cake was much appreciated, there are 2 excellent pubs within walking distance, would highly recommend this special cottage.
Gillian
Lovely location and facilities.
We had such a wonderful stay in the coach house. Being from the area, we came to see friends and, with our baby and dog, felt our own place for a long weekend was necessary and Im thrilled we found this cottage. We met one of the owners and he was super helpful and very pleasant. The cottage itself is superb, cosy and well equipped. We had to take both our cars for logistics and there was ample space. Very happy
BOOK IT!! Truly one of the most wholesome, beautiful stays weve ever had . We booked The Coach House over Christmas & Boxing Day and we made some very special memories as a family. The cottage is the perfect size for cosy vibes and relaxation. It had everything you could need and the owners couldnt do enough for us. The surrounding area is stunning, beautiful countryside, homes & cosy pubs. Everything was spotless, the hot tub was amazing and super clean and the beds very comfy! We would LOVE to return again sometime. Thank you so much! Xxx
A lovely, cosy cottage thats well equipped.
This is 1010. Clean as a whistle little cottage. Stayed here with my husband and two large dogs. One of my dogs is reactive so the enclosed garden is ideal and secure rare find . Five days of relaxation and everything you could possibly need in the cottage. I made a couple of roast dinners and a cake and had everything at hand like you would at home! Rebecca and Dom are within reach if anything is needed but totally respect your privacy. I honestly can not recommend this place enough. Lovely pubs very short walking distance and some amazing walks for the doggies
Beautiful cottage in a lovely area, lots of lovely pubs close by. All the facilities were perfect for a relaxing weekend. The hosts were also lovely and really helpful! Would definitely recommend.
Libbie
We had an incredible stay, the coach house is gorgeous. The decor is incredible and we absolutely loved the hot tub. Made for an amazing weekend celebrating my boyfriends birthday. The hosts were fabulous, really helpful, welcoming and hospitable. We would definitely return here and recommend to anyone visiting the area. Location was perfect for the purpose of our stay. No complaints from us! Thanks again.
Louise
Beautiful home from home, perfect for a relaxing getaway. Everything you need for a wonderful stay and just tranquil. Lovely garden complete with hot tub for a wonderful relaxing time. As a busy couple with a dog this was just what we needed to unwind and recharge. Can highly recommend and would definitely book to stay again.
The cottage was lovely it was beautiful inside and outside. The area was lovely very picturesque. The Crown Inn was absolutely fabulous great food lovely people and it was only a few minutes walk away. The owners were very friendly not that we saw them much because we had no problems at all with the cottage but it was good to know they were close by. The only thing I could say that could improve the property would be some sort of canopy over the hot tub incase of rain and a step to get in and out of the hot tub. Would definitely come back again loved it.
Stephen
We stayed at this coach house with our two children and dog border terrier it was amazing we loved it. Hot tub was fantastic, both beds so comfortable every thing you need is at this property down to wardrobes, coat hangers, toilet rolls, cleaning products, hoover etc. Just need to take toiletries and food. Its a perfect size and beautiful getaway to chill go on walks lovely pubs in walking distance The hand and trumpet was fab. We will definitely return again owners are lovely even had a cake
The Coach House is a lovely little cottage, beautifully decorated, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. We loved the hot tub and the enclosed garden was perfect for our 2 small dogs.
Valdis
We got more than expected. Perfect little holiday
Wow! What a beautiful property, so well maintained and a perfect get away for me and my partner to escape from our very busy working lives. Very accommodating for bringing the dog with us too with a perfect garden area. Well equipped kitchen and even a cake on arrival. Rebecca messaged me personally a few days before to ensure I had all the information I needed to find the property and make things as easy as possible. Was extremely helpful whenever questions asked and even was kind enough to give us recommendations for local pubs, the basket on the table with all local information was such a lovely touch too. Absolutely no compliments, beautiful hosts, stunning cottage and perfect location for a romantic & very relaxing weekend away, we are just gutted we didn't book for longer. We will be back x
Michael
Beautiful cottage in a lovely location. Extremely helpful and welcoming owners who will go above and beyond to ensure you have a fantastic stay at The Coach House.
Wonderful location, ideally situated. Good pubs nearby and fantastic hosts. We hope to stay again.
Thanks Rebecca & Dom for your warm welcome & delicious lemon drizzle cake. The cottage was perfect & we had everything we needed in it. Hope to visit you again sometime.
Really nice, peaceful and quiet place, good local restaurants. Great base to see the surrounding area. Good hosts.
A lovely place to stay. Hosts were very welcoming and the lemon drizzle cake went down a treat. Enjoyed the hot tub. Great base for places to visit. Would definitely come back again.
Louise
Lovely little cottage. Plenty of room for me and my husband on a little child free couple of nights away. Everything was provided for you in the cottage. The hot tub outside was fab. Was lovely at night under the stars. The owners were lovely very friendly and knowledgeable. Lots of walks to do and quite a few pubs in the area to eat. We will definitely return at some point.
Michael
Lovely holiday cottage we very much enjoyed our stay. Owners very welcoming and friendly. Great surrounding area with some nice pubs for drinks and food. Would definitely go back.
Patrick
Lovely cottage, comfy, cosy, great hot tub and local pubs, could do with a new can opener
Caitlin
We stayed in this cottage for 2 nights with our Little dog. It was exactly as seen in the pictures. Its extremely clean and tidy wity beautiful finishings. We had such a quiet relaxing stay and would definitely stay again. The only thing I would say is the back corners of the garden have space for a little dog to get under so just keep an eye out.

We had a lovely stay, thanks so much! There were a few things that would have been useful to have at the cottage but it did not really affect our stay. I definitely think a wardrobechest of drawers and a dressing table would make use of the empty space in the main bedroom. Some coat hooks next to the front door would be useful. A shelf in the upstairs toilet, a poker for the fire, some wooden spoons for cooking, and an extra tray for the oven Im vegetarian but my husband isnt so we had to cook separately. The skylight windows could do with blinds, we woke up early because of the light coming into the room. Same with the patio door, our dogs woke up early because of the light. These are honestly just little things that would have been helpful and that other guests might benefit from but all in all we had a lovely time and would stay again if ever in the area.
Andrew

Great location, lovely property, great hosts Our only observations about the property were a lack of wardrobe & dressing table in the main bedroom & possibly coat hooks by the front door Otherwise it had everything required with the added bonus of the hot tub
The bed was very comfy! Hot tub perfect. We had a really good time. Just a couple of things to note that you may like to know hot water temp at shower very hot even on cold setting and with hw temp dial on boiler turned down downstairs toilet and tap a little loose
Sukaina
Lovely cottage with good facilities. Hosts were lovely & helpful. It was very clean and we enjoyed our stay. Useful information was provided. The Sat Nav shows property as being on opposite side of the road, this made it a bit difficult to find. The hosts were thoughtful & provided extras like teacoffee & milk & cleaning products. A few items would have helped us & I have mentioned to the hosts so others coming will benefit. Overall everything was lovely & I will definitely recommend to family & friends.
The property is a cute little home with a great outdoor space. The hosts were lovely, very accommodating and quick to respond to any queries we had both prior and during our stay. It may possibly be a little small for 4 adults however for 3 adults and 1 baby it was perfect for a 2 night stay.
Absolutely beautiful cottage . Rebecca and Dominic where amazing hosts could not go enough for us. Our dog milo had the best time . There are two beautiful pubs in walking distance . Short drive to Nantwich which is a beautiful historical town and a beautiful garden centre few minutes drive down road. we have loved our stay dont want to go home !! If you are looking for a relax this is the place .. PERFECT

Go Ape Cheshire - WA16 6RW
about 19 Miles
Out of all of the Go Ape! courses the one in Cheshire is the most spread out and it takes staff ten minutes to patrol the site on bike - which gives a good indication of the size of this place.  If you're looking for an adventurous and memorable day out then Go Ape is highly recommended.  Trek through the treetops, swing between the trees and enjoy zip wire rides all as part of your experience.  This attraction opens every day from the end of March to end October and is open on weekends in November.  Go Ape Cheshire is closed every Tuesday except school holidays.
British Wildlife Rescue Centre - TN8 7AR
about 19 Miles
This is a really unique opportunity to see the fantastic work going on at this centre.  The purpose of the British Wildlife Rescue Centre is to treat and care for injured wildlife which cannot be released into the wild.  Many of the animals are brought to the centre by members of the public or the RSPCA.  Visit their website to see the picture gallery and to find out how to help if this is something which interests you.  There are also regular fundraising events such as the Sponsered Leg Wax.
Hoo Farm Animal Kingdom - TF6 6DJ
about 20 Miles
Locally renowned for the Sheep Steeple chasing and daily goat races this is a really unique family attraction that the kids will love.  You can really get hands on with the farm animals with the animal handling sessions and you can have a go at teaching the parrots to talk!  The crazy craft cabin will keep even the most creative entertained with pottery and painting amongst other things. When you are in need of a rest head for the The Hungry Shepherd Tea Room where you can enjoy a bite to eat and children can burn even more energy in the indoor play area.
Alton Towers - ST10 4DB
about 20 Miles
Of course you can't mention attractions in Staffordshire without featuring the fabulous Alton Towers theme park.  The rides range from thrilling to quite simply terrifying although there are more gentle family rides for the little ones.  All ages are catered for here.  Some of the most famoue rides include Th13teen, Air, The Blade and Nemesis.  There is also a waterpark on site for some splashtastic fun. Look out for seasonal events taking place throughout the year such as Wonderful Winter, Pirate Weekend and The Ultimate Fireworks Event.  Check out their website for the latest admission costs and save money by booking your tickets online.
Wonderland - ME10 4PB

This award winning theme park in Shropshire has something for everyone.  Children will delight at the amazing array of rides and activities. Described on their own website as a "fairytale adventure" there is a nursery rhyme and fairytale characters theme running throughout the park. One inside the park you can enjoy unlimited free rides and there's an indoor soft play area for the younger ones and for when the weather is not on your side.  Another popular aspect of this attraction is the nature trail.  Check out their website for the latest events and admission costs. This company also owns Jungleland - another great attraction just 4 miles from Wonderland.
Shropshire Wildlife Trust - SY3 5FB
about 26 Miles
This is a fantastic attraction in the Shrewsbury area of Shropshire.  Designed to provide children with a fun and educational experience the whole family can learn about wildlife here and the outdoors.  There are 38 nature reserves in total and visitors are welcomed and encouraged to enjoy the area by taking part in walks, talks and regular events.  Check out their website for the latest events such as Apple Day and Wildlife through the Seasons.
Blue Planet Aquarium - CH65 9LF
about 27 Miles
Fantastic attraction in the Cheshire region suited to family days out as well as school and corporate visits.  The "Jawsome" sharks are a sight to behold and new for 2010 is the Tarantula Tower.  You can save time and money by bookings online and at the moment they are offering a discount of £2.00 per person when you book this way.  Winner of the Visit Chester and Cheshire Best Tourism Experience of the Year - you can be assured of a fun and educational day out.  Look out for special events throughout the year including Boo! Planet Halloween and Otter Month.
Gulliver's World Theme Park - WA5 9YZ
about 28 Miles
This is a very popular theme park with three different locations.  The theme park in Warrington contains not only the theme park but also Gullivers Splash Zone and Gullivers Star Studios.  The Solash Zone is a fully heated indoor water play factory fun for all ages which will appeal on rainy days.  Throughout the year there are seasonal events too such as the Halloween and Fireworks event taking place from 23rd to 31st October.  You can book online to save time and secure your tickets during busy periods.  Over 50% of the rides are actually under cover so you don't need to worry about the British weather spoiling the fun.
