A traditional farmhouse, situated adjacent to Plooney Barn, in a pretty valley just outside the village of Bleddfa, Mid Wales. The cottage is the perfect base for families or friends looking to relax and experience an idyllic, peaceful location in the stunning border countryside.
Set over two floors, there are three comfortable bedrooms and a family bathroom, as well as a traditional, well-equipped kitchen with a stone-flagged floor and dining area. Across the hall is the cosy sitting room with a woodburner, where you can unwind after exploring the area.
Outside, you can sit on the patio in the calming garden, which has a raised veranda with a six-seater hot tub, sloping lawns and a further terraced lawned area looking across the valley and down to the idyllic cottage. A mountain stream runs through the garden, which offers plenty of room to run and play, sit under the mature trees, or relax on the patio while the children enjoy exploring the large undulating garden.
This delightful farmhouse cottage is situated on a rarely used and ancient by-way, which enables you to walk to a local drink only pub in Llangunllo serving local real ales, being either a one or two mile walk away depending on which direction you choose, a wonderful opportunity to travel along paths used for hundreds of years in unspoilt countryside. You are ideally placed to explore the green rolling hills and Knighton, making Ploony Cottage the perfect gateway in the Shropshire Hills AONB.
Knighton is linked with the walkerÂ’s town of Kington, by OffaÂ’s Dyke that meanders through the countryside along the border between Wales and England, in the area known as the Welsh Marches. It is a pretty market town, with the traditional landscape of Hergest Croft Gardens and its popular tea rooms.
