Heathfield Reviews

Great property. Love the fact the hot tub has a sliding side panel and retractable roof, which is not mentioned anywhere. Location on doorstep for everything. Bathrobes added bonus. Only downside would be size of kitchen. Difficult to negotiate with more than one person in it as quite narrow. Knocking down the wall between kitchen and dining room would make this property fantastic and more sociable. Would we stay again. Definitely.
Fabulous property, great location and facilities. Owners very friendly and helpful. I have no hesitation in recommending and definitely will be returning.
What a beautiful house with all the home comforts anyone would want. The welcome pack was really lovely It's so close to the park which was perfect for early morning walks Only a 10 minute stroll into keswick town which has many great pubs and eateries and is full of lovely independent shops
Geoffrey
The property was spotlessly clean, comfortable, extremely well equipped and the owners left many extras which were really appreciated. Not too far to walk into town and ideally situated not far from one of the parks and the Pheasant pub.
Samantha
Beautiful house with greatsized enclosed garden. All immaculately clean and maintained both house and garden. Fantastic hot tub and sauna facilities. Kitchen extremely wellequipped. Large, comfortable bedrooms, both ensuite with an additional family bathroom to top it all off. Even included a generous welcome pack for both the humans and the dog!
Melanie
A beautiful maintained house, extremely comfortable and super clean, owners very friendly and helpful
Tracey
We had a lovely stay and the house is kept to a very high standard, sauna and hot tub were very welcome and used after our long walks. The only thing I will say and this isnt a criticism but the beds just generated so much heat which all 4 of us experienced. Waterproof mattress protection is a must but mine at home doesnt generate heat so we cant understand why we were so hot.

Just had a weeks stay. Everything was perfect! Great location & the property is spotless. Will definitely be returning.
Heathfield is as close to perfect as it can be. Spotlessly clean, comfortable and well equipped. The garden is perfect for our dogs and the location with Fitz Park just across the road was the icing on the cake. We will be booking Heathfield again very soon.
Richard
Very nice well kept property in a great location. Couldnt have asked for more, we liked all the little finishing touches like providing towels and a place to dry the dog, tissues and kitchen roll and cling film and clean products in the kitchen. These are so often overlooked in other holiday homes and it was refreshing to not have to worry about going to the shops to get hold of these things. The only minor problem was that the mattresses felt like they were a bit worn. Other than that we had a truly excellent week.
Jackie
Heathfield is an excellent holiday home. We enjoyed a wonderful week in this exceptionally clean and comfortable home. It has everything you could possibly need to make your stay perfect. The welcome pack was extensive and very welcome. The hot tub was really lovely on a cold winters day. We would definitely recommend to family and friends and would love to book again.
We had a fantastic stay at Heathfield. The house is wonderfully presented, clean, cosy and comfortable. The kitchen is immaculate and well equipped and bathrooms are lovely. The bedrooms are cosy with so many nice touches including the bath robes. Heathfield is well looked after by the owners. It benefits from being in a great location for the park and with a lovely walk into town. So grateful for the stay we had here and would highly recommend.
Absolutely fabulous week at Heathfield. Everything was catered for with lots of lovely details like bath robes, coffee pods and fizz. Brought lots of things not often provided in holiday homes, but didn't need any of them. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Can't wait to return!
Christine
A comfortable and very well equipped house. Very dog friendly but really clean and attention to detail was excellent.
Easy to book online modern inside clean great hot tub and sauna would go back
This property might just be the nicest property we have ever rented. It is immaculate. The owners have provided every amenity one could hope for. They were very helpful in up keeping the hot tub to the highest standards. The property is convenient to walk to town either by the main road or a lovely pedestrian path along the river. We cannot recommend this property more highly.
Joanne
Lovely house in a great location about 10 mins walk into the centre of Keswick for all shops, bars and restaurants very dog friendly with the open market on Saturday and Thursday well worth a visit. Another 10 mins leisurely stroll to edge of Derwent water. Heathfield house is perfect, well equipped thought of everything and spotless. Weather was kind to us so able to used the bbq and the hot tub after a long walk amazing and relaxing. We all had a great week and would highly recommend Heathfield, we most definitely will be back.

Spotlessly clean. Settled in right away.

Perfect, perfect, perfect! Fantastic house in a great location.spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. The welcome pack and doggy treats and blankets were a lovely surprise. Hot tub and sauna were so relaxing after a long walk. Stayed with my parents and they were so impressed. Plenty of room for us all, 2 en suites, 1 family bathroom and an extra separate toilet. 10 minute walk to the Center of Keswick and all its shops, pubs and restaurants and just a further 5 minutes to beautiful Derwentwater. This has to be the best accommodation I have stayed in, thank you for a great holiday and we will be back!
Property owner was very helpful I think the info re the use of jacuzzi should be in a more prominent place perhaps on the wall in the kitchen as well as the place in the hall. My fault as a regular user of cottages I tend to know what is required but had overlooked informing the owner of not using the jacuzzi
Could not have been better, very high standard accommodation. ..would definitely return...eleven out of ten..
Christine
Absolutely loved this house , very well equipped and only about 10 minutes to ... Absolutely loved this house , very well equipped and only about 10 minutes to Keswick centre, would definitely recommend Heathfield, it was spotlessly clean and with having 2 en suites was a bonus , it also had a separate toilet and another separate bathroom, we met the owner who was a very nice and helpful man , we didn't have any dogs with us but if we had they would be well catered for also, would just like to say a very big thank you for a lovely holiday xxxx
Great house, very clean and very helpful owners. Would definitely recommend.
Had a great stay. House is splendid and loved the hot tub. Thanks.
Rachel
We have been booking holidays in Cumbria for 35 years. Our main priority is good location, a dishwasher and good facilities for our dog, ideally a secure garden. This has now changed. For the first time we had a hot tub. Our gorgeous Easter walking holiday had the added luxury facility, which was a game changer. Thank you so much.
Stephen
A nice homely property with good facilities in a good location.
Kayleigh
Huge thank you to Jan & Les, the house was immaculate. The facilities, cleanliness & all the extra care packages for us & the dogs was amazing. We used the hot tub & sauna every night after our days out. Highly recommend, cant fault our stay in any way. Thank you both again!
Joanne
Absolutely superb in all aspects. The owners, Jan and Les obviously care very much about making their guests very comfortable by all their thoughtful little extras and they really have everything covered. The welcome pack was the most generous we have ever had and there was even two very comfortable pet blankets for our dog, together with some delicious treats for him. I booked the weekend to celebrate my Husbands 50th birthday and we were so delighted Heathfield made this special occasion most memorable. Would love to return you have the winning formula here thank you
Everything was great the only small problem was that there weren't an instructions on what to do with rubbish or bedding so we just had to guess.
Christine
Lovely house, spotlessly clean with all amenities we required and more. The welcome pack was a lovely touch and very much appreciated. Location was perfect, only a few minutes walk into Keswick. I would not hesitate to recommend this accommodation to friends and family. Thank you.
The house is beautiful and the hosts go out of their way to ensure you have an amazing holiday.
Matthew
Great house in a great location. The hot tub was a welcome addition to a comfortable home from home.
Nice welcome pack. Great facilities. Great location. Kitchen a bit small but other than that I would highly recommend
Elizabeth

Owners thought of absolutely everything to make our stay just perfect ! Its a credit to them, I can honestly say it was one of the nicest cottages we have stayed in. We was that impressed we are going to book for next year !
Fab location and the house is spotless. The owners Les and Jan were brilliant and extremely helpful.
Miss Draper
A beautiful and spotlessly clean house, everything and more that you can need for a holiday, probably one of the best I've ever stayed in. Can't wait to return

Lake District Wildlife Park - CA12 4RD
about 6 Miles
We love this day out in Cumbria where you're encouraged to "take a fresh look".  Some of the amazing animals you will get to see include the only Canadian Lynx in the UK and you will have the opportunity to help their Lynx Conservation Project.  The Asian Fishing Cat is also well worth a look - these cats are known for diving under the water and catching fish!  Other activities include fantastic flying displays and play areas for the little ones...
Ullswater Steamers - CA11 0US
about 8 Miles
This is an award winning Lake District attraction and they have been operating cruisers on Lake Ullswater for over 150 years.  There is no better way to explore the lakes than on water and you could even combine a cruise with a spectacular walk.  For great days out in this region then this attraction is highly recommended and will appeal to couples as well as families.  Corporate groups are also well catered for.
Rydal Mount & Gardens - LA22 9LU
about 12 Miles
Rydal Mount & Gardens are wonderfully situated between Lake Windermere and Rydal Water offering breathtaking scenery. The home of William Wordsworth from 1813 - 1850 the grand home is now lived in by the poets descendents but parts of the house and grounds are open to the public. Why not take a guided tour and see the rooms where many of the famous poems were written. The gardens are beautiful at all times of the year but in the summer offer a spectacular display of colour. There is also a gallery and a tearoom. Discounts are available for group bookings.
Tullie House Museum & Art Gallery - CA3 8TP
about 21 Miles
This is a museum and art gallery in one and will suit those looking for an educational and cultural day out.  You can explore the fantastic art collection including Fine Art, Decorative Art and Textiles.  If you love nature then this aspect of Tullie House will appeal. The museum holds large and important collections of zoological, botanical and geological material. And for lovers of history there is plenty to wet your appetite here. Tullie House collects a wide range of historic materials including objects, ephemera (printed material), photographs and associated information files.  We think this museum and art gallery are excellent value for money as well.
