We had a really lovely time staying here. The house is stunning and super comfy - the furniture and beds feel like they’re giving you a hug! It was spotless and really welcoming, which made us feel right at home. The location was perfect for visiting nearby spots; everything was about an hour’s drive. It’s in a peaceful area, yet close enough to local shops and pubs for meals out. We enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub and exploring the surroundings. Definitely recommend this place for a chilled getaway!

The views from every window are stunningand we enjoyed exploring the nearby reservoirs. Visiting the Foulridge tunnel was definitely a highlight, especially spotting the air shafts in the field opposite. Thanks for the great restaurant recommendations-Craven Heifer and Fabellos were both fantastic. Would definitely come back!

Head for the Bowland Wild Boar park and we don't think you will be disappointed.  A popular attraction in Preston there is so much to do for the whole family.  From picnics, walks and wildlife to experiencing feeding the animals you are sure to have a memorable day out.  Also popular is the kids tractor play area.  For rest and relaxation the cafe is ideal serving hot drinks and snacks with a lovely view over the pond and wildlife feeding station.  The Forest of Bowland has been declared an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Fountains Abbey - HG4 3DY

This is an outstanding world heritage site located close to Ripon in the North Yorkshire area. Nature lovers will be in their element with an abundance of wide open spaces to explore and there are special guided tours for families.  Some of the highlights may include seeing wild deer and bats during your visit.  The grounds are fantastic to wander round but there is also an Elizabethan Mansion, Victorian Church, Georgian Water Garden and the finest example of Cistercian Abbey ruins in the country - Well worth a visit!
