Riverside Lodge Reviews

Sarah
We loved the spacious rooms and the stunning view right outside. Perfect spot for a relaxing stay!
Emma
We do a girls' weekend getaway every yearand this time, we found an absolute gem. Even though it’s only half an hour from home, it felt worlds away. The lodge is stunningand for our group of six, there was plenty of room to relax comfortably. The open-plan kitchen, diningand sitting area with that gorgeous view was a real highlight. Plus, the October weather was surprisingly warm, so we managed some outdoor meals. We’re already planning to come back soon!

Honestly, the location is a real highlight. Sitting right on the River Ribble, it’s stunning and peaceful, yet only about six miles from Tesco and the Deepdale centre, which is handy. We loved exploring the quiet country roads nearby-perfect for cycling if you’re into that. There’s plenty to do around, like walking in Gisburn Forest, which also has a MTB centre. We also enjoyed a fantastic meal at the Bowland Beer Hall in Clitheroe, housed in an old cotton mill. Definitely a spot we’d visit again!
Emma

Located in the Milnthorpe area of Cumbria we love this local attraction.  With an eclectic mix of fascinating wildlife and hands on displays this centre is educational as well as fun.  You can wander around at leisure admiring the exhibits which range from chameleons to computers. Some of the most threatened species are kept at the park as part if international breeding programmes.  Check out their website for the latest opening times and admission costs which are great value for money.  There are discounts for pre-booked parties of 12 or more.
