Very nice stay overall couple of low points the door blinds was tricky to use but after working out how to use them wasnt has frustrating to use sofa was very squeaky at one side we really enjoyed all that was on offer hot tub was amazing log burner was really nice to sit around late at night blazing away also the owner was very helpful the walks with the dog in the fields was great close to local shops and amenities I felt refreshed and relaxed

We had a great stay at The Workshop. What a beautiful place! So peaceful
Nicola
Fantastic property and a lovely weeks stay. Lovely touches by Christine and welcome pack included the 4 legged one. Weather was so nice despite the storm and wind over the weekend. Hot tub amazing and the perfect rehab after Yorkshire Marathon! Literally the only thing missing as a conscientious per owner was a hoover so we could keep on top of cleaning
We enjoyed staying at the old workshop, it was warm and comfortable, ideal for dogs and sad we didnt book longer
Jonathan
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Old Workshop Very clean properly with all the equipment you need to a comfortable stay. The whole property has been furnished to a high standard, you can tell that the owners take great pride in the place. The property also caters well for dogs, the treats and towels provided were very appreciated. In addition to the property itself, the surrounding area provides beautiful views, especially when relaxing in the hot tub. I would definitely book this place again and highly recommend to others looking for a peaceful break away.
Lovely property, lovely and spacious. Cleanliness was excellent. Very well equipped and so comfortable. Couldn't fault anything. We loved every minute of it. Thankyou for the little extras for us and our dog. Would definitely recommend. Definitely a 5 star property.
An amazing place to stay, so comfortable with lots to do around the area. The hot tub is 1010 for stargazing and there is a resident owl who we seen on our last night. We will be back! Lovely owners too thank you for a wonderful stay.
Michelle
Really lovely rural property in a beautiful location. The workhouse has been well designed with everything finished to a high standard. We had all the necessities we needed for our stay with the addition of a great hot tub for relaxing in the evenings. Everywhere is very clean and it is clear the owners take great care of everything and are happy to help if needed. The location is wonderful for dog owners with lots of areas to walk close by and there are plenty of dog friendly pubs near by to eat out at. Scarborough is only a short drive away. Christine was very friendly and helpful, was nice to know she was available for help if required but not imposing in any way. We would highly recommend a stay here and will certainly be back to visit again.
Amazing property in a great location. Will definitely be booking again!
Beautiful place great location would def go again highly recommend
The Old Workshop is lovely! The design and decor is stunning, and it has everything you could possibly need for a comfortable, relaxing selfcatered stay. The Hosts are the right amount of involved friendly, helpful and informative but also give you your own space. The treats were very welcome too! The location of the property is convenient to access Scarborough via a 15 min drive and also Whitby which is approx a 30 min drive. You get the best of both worlds here as youre staying in a countryside setting but are also only a short drive away from the sea. Thank you Christine and family we had a lovely holiday.

Great weekend with the girls at this property. Newly decorated, very tasteful, clean. All instructions needed were in a folder as well which was helpful. We liked the fact that the patiohot tub was enclosed as well. Great communication from the owners on the day too. Only two 'downsides' which were minor problems really drive currently being redone likely will have been finished by the time i finish this review though! and the downstairs bed is a bit small if you aren't a couple we brought a blow up airbed just in case and did end up using it, but equally the sofa was spacious and comfortable so we could have used that too. Would consider coming back and would definitely recommend.
Such a stunning property, we loved every minute of our stay. It was neat and tidy and beautifully done. The hot tub was super. It was perfect for us, two adults, one child and dog. It was so central and so many beautiful places to visit around it. We would definitely come back.

We visited The Old Workshop for our first family holiday with 7 month old baby and our dog. What a beautiful property in the most beautiful of settings. The Old Workshop was so tranquil. We felt like we were the only people in the world and aside from seeing the host family maybe three times in passing over 5 days, our only neighbours seemed to be fields of sheep which our dog and daughter both loved from the safety of the bedroom window. The property itself was spotlessly clean and furnished to a very high standard, and the hot tub was a hit for us adults once the little one was asleep! The water pressure in the shower was incredible but the water could get a little warm so thats one to watch for little people. On the little people point there was a high chair, cutlery and crockery, stair gates, travel cot and linens for the cot so a lot of the stress of packing and more importantly packing the car! was taken away. Christine, our host, was fantastic and kindly acted as the North Yorkshire tourist board for us, which meant we discovered things we never would have on our own. We adored our stay and wouldnt hesitate to book again.
As a family of 5 with a Doberman we have struggled to find somewhere to accommodate us, after searching high and low we stumbled across The Old Workshop, little did we know we would be the first booking ! This stay really is a home from home, beautiful from the outside in and has been given so much thought and love for people to have fun and make memories in ! On arrival we were made to feel very relaxed and welcomed which was lovely for us as a family with 3 young children and a big dog ! It did not take us long to settle in ,starting ofour evening bubbling away in the hot tub, then a meal around the table in the stunning open plan kitchen area followed by winding down in front of the log burner, this wasnt just a comfort for us as a family but also vinnie the dog after a busy day walking around the local routes, he loved nothing more than snoozing in front of the toasty fire. The Old Workshop has everything and a little more, We feel fortunate to be the first to experience this Beautiful holiday home and we look forward to returning .
