Sail Lodge Reviews

Absolutely amazing weekend break. The house was fantastic, location superb, exactly as advertised. The owner kept in touch with us from start to finish and we were well looked after. Would definitely use this company again
This house was nicely situated which suited our needs. Plenty of space with nice bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone in an our party. Parking wasnt a problem and we enjoyed our stay.
I have resisted writing this review as I had requested a partial refund from the owner which has been refused. I really dont know where to start. This property is quite simply awful. It could be lovely but there are so many maintenance issues that need attention. It was also dirty. The showers are dirty with mould on the tiles and grout, the toilet seats are loose, one of the toilets leaks onto the bathroom floor. There is rain water coming into the upstairs bedroom and bathroom due to an issue with the roof. All of this is deemed not to be a problem by the owner. We were booked to stay for a week at a cost of over 3500 but the property was so grim that we left after 3 nights. The location is perfect and with some serious maintenance and refurbishment it could be great.
Great place to stay. Basic but everything you could need. Amazing location great place for an extended family holiday.
The property was everything we needed and in a great location. The owner got in touch with us the day before we went to point out a potential problem which was very reassuring. This turned out to be no problem at all but showed how genuine she was. She was also on hand to sort out a minor issue whilst we were there, again reassuring to know. All in all, I wouldnt hesitate to return to Sail Lodge in the future.
We were very disappointed with Sail Lodge. The cleanliness was not to a good standard, it looked like it had not had a deep clean for some time. There's fungus growing on the walls in the basement. The toilet seat is broken in the ground floor bedroom. The property is very run down and in need of some renovation for the price we paid.

The house was great and had everything we needed for 20 people. The parking was fine for five cars and once parked, we didnt use our cars again until we left. Just read the permit information about zones to park in etc. A quick walk to one beach then a 20 minute walk to another, perfect for us. The facilities were excellent. A hot tub, washing machine & dryer, an iron & an ironing board, well resourced kitchen, toilet rolls & hand soap in bathrooms.

Efficient clean and comfortable house fir large gatherings.
Great place for large parties. Almost every room has its own bathroom which was a huge benefit. The house is incredibly located shops, beach, parks, all within walking distance. The hot tub was a favourite for the kids.

We had a great time, the house was perfect for what we wanted with the 4levels, I would certainly recommend it for big families because of all the bedrooms and bathrooms which were ideal, the location was good just down the road is peasholm park and the open top bus to the South Bay which the kids loved,
Sail Lodge is a large, spacious, clean, warm and comfortable holiday home with a welcoming feeling with easy access to local attractions including peasolm Park, north bay railway, Scarborough beach, arcades and hundreds of shops, bars, supermarkets etc all within walking distance The property consists of 9 comfortable bedrooms most with tvs and storage , 8 bathrooms, 2 lounge areas, large dining area with little breakfast bar, large kitchen and a separate utility area with garden areas and hot tub as an added bonus. House is well equipped for a comfortable no hassle holiday, with a selection of dvds, cds, books and jigsaw puzzles provided buy the property owners. Kitchen has everything and more than you could ask for in a holiday home. Including washing machine, dryer and dishwasher We stayed here as a large family group. Second lounge area within the basement area was extremely cosy and comfortable perfect for family relaxation or as we used it.... for guys to chill in evenings watching sports and play xbox OUR OWN. Negatives.. A few Minor maintenance niks but nothing that would have negative effects on your holiday. bedrooms without wardrobes would benefit from clothes rail or hooks to hang clothes. Bedroom on suite on ground floor would Benefit from a separate light switches to operate the light in on suite separately from the bedroom light, go to toilet through night and wake up partner because room light goes on with toilet light however we did just buy a battery operated light on day 2 to prevent this. Additionally informative stickers on lights switches for sitting room, hallway, dining area & wall lights would possibly help people out. A little confusing at first until you figure them out. Although parking permits are provided with the property we had 2 vehicles and wasn't always easy to find space outside the house our within the permitted areas. Had to drive around block a couple of times on first couple of days to find a space. Maybe a permit to park in the lane at the back of the property would eliminate this ?.. Despite these very very minor Negatives we would all happily recommend this amazing property and without doubt would book again. We would like to say a huge thank you to all involved in this property and our booking including owners and agent who kept me updated with all important information we had to know. Thank you. all family members have informed me of how they enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend and without any doubts book again.
Had a fantastic weekend at this lovely house. It was really warm and welcoming, and everything was just as expected. We had an accident which required a repair which the owners were very fair about, and I would recommend this place to anyone wanting a large family getaway.
Great place, it was ideal for friends and family for a get together.
We loved staying at Sail Lodge. Perfect location for walking into Scarborough and to the beach. The hosts catered for us in terms of highchairs etc. The house had everything we needed. Clean and comfortable, felt like home. The hot tub was an added bonus. We'd definitely recommend this place and stay again.
Great house suited our group of 13 perfectly. Perfect location. Samantha was very helpful with all the information we needed. Also one of the kids left a cushion and she went over and above to find it and get it back to us. Great holiday. Thanks

This centre is one of the regions most popular attractions and is educational as well as fun. Visitors will enjoy a journey beneath the waves, meeting many strange, beautiful and fascinating creatures of the deep. As well as mighty sharks and beautiful rays guests can get up close to some more common creatures including star fish and can also meet the otters, seals and penguins at feeding time.
