Dean Mews Reviews

Such a beautiful property. Very clean and welcoming. There wasnt anything we was short of. They thought of everything to make our stay comfortable. Very nice of them to also leave us a complementary basket of goods.

The house was beautiful and welcoming. It was very well equipped with more coffee pods and wood for the hot tub than it would be possible to use. The welcome pack of treats was thoughtful and much appreciated and the bath robes were a nice addition. The garden was very big and beautifully maintained and the play equipment kept a five year old and a two year old hugely entertained during our stay. The hot tub provided welcome relief as the temperature approached 40 degrees during our stay. Communication with Ian was excellent and I would have no hesitation in recommending the house for a family gathering.
Suzanne
We loved Dean Mews. It had a beautiful garden and the hot tub was very welcome. The house was extremely well equipped and the decor was quirky and characterful. We couldnt have wanted more. We had a great weekend and would definitely book again if were in Leeds.
Dean Mews was perfect for our family holiday, with space for everyone to mix and retreat. The facilities were fantastic throughout, from the lovely lounge and superb kitchen to the comfortable bedrooms and beds. The property goes way beyond this too it is appointed to a level that we haven't seen in a holiday cottage. The furnishings and fixtures are spectacular you are staying somewhere special. The weather was cold and wet during our stay but the garden and woodfired hot tub were wellused they are great features. The garden is stunning and we spent a lot of time with our 2 year old grandchild exploring, playing in the playground and looking out for the horses, birds of prey and the fox that appeared on the hill each day. There is plenty to do within easy reach of the property and it worked considerably better than a more expensive property we booked last year in the Cotswolds I can see why it receives top ratings it is a fantastic home, full of character, beautifully appointed and equipped beyond expectations. We thank the owners for the wonderful Christmas decorations, they seem to delight in the extra details coffee machines in every room, incredible TV, covered barbecue, dressing gowns, I could go on but we'll be back! Thank you!
An absolutely unreal property. A true joke from home with everything you could possibly need for the perfect stay. Comfiest beds, perfect hot tub setting and great comms from management team. Thank you for having us!

We had the most wonderful stay at Dean Mews. From booking to arriving, Ian and Andrew were extremely friendly and helpful. The house is absolutely stunning with everything you could possibly need. The welcome hamper was a lovely touch too. We loved it so much we have already booked for next year!

Travelling from Scotland, South Wales and London by car and rail for a family reunion through storm Babet we arrived late in the wet and dark. Thankfully, the welcoming lights of Dean Mews made us feel at home straight away. This cottage is charming, spacious, full of quirky detail and extremely well equipped. The property manager Ian always responded promptly to our enquiries. The garden was great for the kids and in the evenings we made good use of the fire tub in the back veranda, which also has a complete catering area. Our favourite local attractions were a nearby animal farm, Betty's Tea Room in Ilkley the Bronte Parsonage Museum in Haworth and Knaresborough, an ancient market town with a castle and a viaduct across the river. Signed Mrs Evans
We meet up once a year for our family holiday. There was 8 of us and we all had loads of room in this gorgeous house. We can honestly say we had the best timeHorsforth train station was 10 minutes away and Bradford airport. Leads and Bradford were near too York is a must Ian was so helpful and on call if we needed him. We would like to Thank Deans Mews for sharing your house with us!

I can't praise Dean Mews highly enough it truly exceeded all expectations and made our trip absolutely fabulous. The owners were our saviours, after being let down by another cottage on the day of our holiday!!!, the owners of this cottage jumped to our rescue, and were so accommodating getting us in within 3 hours of us booking it, and oh my goodness.. it Is stunning! So quirky, oldy worldly, fashionable, beautiful, amazing.. every room's decor had the wow factor!!! Every thing you could need for your stay was there, including a gorgeous hot tub, outside seating area and amazing huge garden. The cottage itself is so unique , we highly recommended and really appreciate the owners offering us the weekend at such short notice, and being so friendly and accommoding. 100 will be returning and highly recommended !
This is a lovely property with excellent indoor and outdoor facilities for both adults and children. The location of the house is very nice, with views to the countryside from the rear windows. Ian the property manager was very helpful and communicated regularly during our stay. I would highly recommend Dean Mews.
If you think the pictures on the listing look good wait until you see the property! Amazing house with so many quirky details and decorations. Very clean and hot tub ready for use on arrival. Great thinking with the use of the bath robes for going down to the hot tub. Really nothing missed by the owners at this one, would 100 recommend. Thanks for a great stay!
Rachel
We had a lovely stay in Dean Mews. It was comfortable and clean with amazing facilities coffee makers in all of the bedrooms!!. We particularly enjoyed the gorgeous garden and hot tub. We found the Dean Mews team to be excellent at communicating and we could tell they genuinely wanted us to have a great stay. We would most definitely recommend.
A group of us stayed over the weekend and I cannot recommend this property any higher. It is perfect in every way. Plenty of space for a group of 8 people. The propertydriveway is secure and easy to access. Some things worth noting Fully equipped kitchenoutdoor bbq area. The garden is huge and gets sunshine all day long. Perfectly clean bathrooms, big powerful showers. Comfy sofas with big TVs. The wood fired hot tub and abundance of coffee machines were a great personal touch. Book this property today you wont regret it!!! Thanks to Ian and the entire team who looked after & cleaned the house you made our stay very special
Francis
Our family really enjoyed staying in your beautiful property. We wish our travels had kept us there longer. We would definitely reserve this place again the next time we return, except we would stay longer.
Absolutely beautiful property, we enjoyed everything about our stay! The log fire hot tub was amazing whilst enjoying the gorgeous views from the garden. Would definitely recommend staying here. The property provided everything for you, but if there was something additional you require Ian was only a text message away. He did a fantastic job at making sure we had everything we needed for our stay.
Hannah
Absolutely beautiful property which far exceeded our expectations. It was our favourite holiday home that we have stayed in.
Charlotte
I had a fantastic stay at Dean Mews. The house is large but still manages to stay warm and has a lovely cosy feel. Each room is themed and I loved the addition of robes and a coffee machine in each of them. Plenty of wood was provided for the fires and the welcome basket was a fun surprise for my arrival. We were snowed in one night so it would have been great if there were some board games to play, but otherwise I cannot fault the place. Would highly recommend and would consider returning again, thank you!
Absolutely beautiful house, definitely looking to come back!
Absolutely stunning property close to lots of walks and activities. Absolutely loved our week in the cottage.
An excellent week at Dean Mews. The property is in a glorious setting and is very well equipped. The welcome basket on arrival was very much appreciated. There is plenty of room all around the cottage. We had a three generation family gathering here and everyone was very comfortable. The young children particularly enjoyed the expansive garden grounds. Although we didnt use the woodfired hot tub or outdoor cooking area it is a particularly appealing feature. Ian, our host, was extremely helpful and communication was excellent. Some very nice decor around the property. The information pack was very comprehensive and we can endorse the restaurant recommendations within the pack. Our particular favourite was the Sweet Basil Valley ChineseThai restaurant and take away in nearby Yeadon. All in all a highly enjoyable stay in an excellent property. Highly recommended for large groups with children.
We've just returned from a family get together at Dean Mews. It was absolutely perfect! A lovely cottage which is beautifully decorated and maintained throughout. We were greeted by twinkly lighting, and a hamper full of goodies and a prewarmed hot tub that says welcome! Dean Mews is very comfortable and has everything you need to make a perfect holiday. We'll be back! Thank you Ian and the team!
Michael
We stayed as an extended family, 5 adults and 4 children, plenty of room for all and a very comfortable stay. Everything you needed to make your stay homley was provided including a welcome hamper. The children enjoyed the outdoor facilities and hot tub. Close to many local attractions to enhance your stay. Would recommend to any family for a nice quiet break in a lovely cottage.
Lauren
We stayed at Dean mews during the New years eve weekend. There were 6 adults, and 4 children ranging from 7 months old to 4 years old. The house was so well equipped for families with young children, and made our stay so much more relaxing. The kitchen was also really well equipped meaning we had everything we needed to make a roast dinner on new years day. The log burner hot tub is a really lovely addition to the property, it was really straight forwards to re fill and heat. Upon our arrival the hot tub had already been heated for us, and there was a lovely hamper with Prosecco and other treats. The house was really clean, and the Christmas decorations were beautiful. The house was also lovely and warm, and the beds were really comfortable. We will certainly be visiting the house again as we would love to make use of the outdoor kitchen in the summer.
Debbie
Absolutely beautiful cottage which was fantastically decorated for Christmas . Great location and very comfortable. Loved the interior and fabulous open fire. Very helpful and great communication throughout. Thanks so much.
Just returned froma wonderful week at Dean Mews with our family. The house exceeded our expectations and arriving to finding it beautifully decorated for Christmas made it even more magical.

If you are wondering whether to book Dean Mews then do! It is absolutely stunning with such a wonderful homely feel. The hosts are incredibly generous leaving us with a huge welcome pack and provided unlimited amounts of wood and kindling for the fire tub and open fire. The place is impeccable! The decor is out of this world and the surrounding grounds are beautiful. Safe electric gate with parking for lots of cars. More than enough living space with 4 upstairs bedrooms and one downstairs. Washing and drying facilities with everything you may need for your stay. Outside kitchen area which has a heated lamp for warmth. Very child friendly with baby gates and high chairs, travel cot under master bed and dining seat attachment. Recent stay for 8 of us of all ages and plenty to cater for all. The pictures do not do this place justice. The house keeper Janet and manager Ian are incredibly accommodating and this place has been made, looked after and designed with love. Would love to return again and would recommend to anyone!
Excellent property. Beautifully finished to such a high standard. Everything we could have needed. Great communication with host. Would highly recommend this place to anyone. We will definitely be back.
The property was immaculate when we arrived and just looked like the photos. The finishing touches of fairy lights and a Christmas tree at the side of the open fire made it magical for us all, especially my grandchildren. The welcome hamper was really appreciated, the Prosecco went down a treat with the adults, so thank you for that. Overall I would highly recommend a visit to Deans Mews.
Suzanne
We have had the most amazing stay at this beautiful cottage. As a family of 7 it met all our needs. We were greeted by a lovely welcome pack , the property was immaculate, hot tub and outside area are fantastic. Local pubs restaurants are great and such a good link to Leeds and Harrogate. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be returning. Thank you
Amanda
It is an amazing property, with everything you could wish for, brilliant for families or just adults, attentative hosts, favourite stay to date, planning our next stay already! !
Dean Mews is a really special, one of a kind property, and even better than the pictures! The property manager Ian was quick to respond with reccommendations for a Sunday Roast spot nearby, and to help out when a Halloween costume was delivered to the property. On arrival, the welcome hamper was gorgeous and the house spotless. Every detail of Dean Mews has been thought out from the ceramic pumpkins, to the old school slot machine. The beds are insanely comfortable, and for such a big house, it's always warm. We were a group of 8 adults and a toddler and we were never on top of each other. The house is also extremely well equipped for families with top and bottom stair gates, a bath seat, highchair, kids cutlery and plastic plates and bowls in the outside kitchen. Highly recommend!
Selena
We have just returned from a fabulous weekend at Dean Mews. We did not want to leave! We loved the whole house, it felt very welcoming and relaxing. The welcome hamper was a lovely surprise. We loved the decor, layout, the kitchen was great everything was there that we needed! Ian has been great with all our questions and queries, and Jan popped in to show us the hot tub which was fab!
An unusual property in a very convenient location for a variety of activities. The house is very comfortable and it was nice to have a log fire and the hot tub. Ownermanager is very helpful. Calling a sofa bed in an alcove off the living room, a 5th bedroom, is a bit of a stretch but it would be useful if you had an extra person for a night or two. We had a very enjoyable stay and would certainly consider coming again. For those who might worry, as we did, about the proximity of the airport, it was both invisible and inaudible. The loudest sounds we heard were the owls hooting to one another at night.
Charles
What an amazing place! Eclectic designer theme, extremely well done. Owner and manager followed up daily to see if we needed anything. Outstanding.
Amazing cottage all round, from the welcoming of the host, to the lovely surroundings of the garden. Me and my friends loved every minute here and wished wed stayed longe, we will definitely be returning. The bedrooms were spacious and amazingly comfortable, the decor was great throughout. We thoroughly enjoyed our surprise welcome hamper. The coffee machines in every room were a luxury and the comfort of the snug throws on the sofas while we watched films on the huge TV! Thanks again
Spacious property on a good location, great kitchen and lounge with big open fire. Enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend.
Benjamin
We had an absolutely wonderful time at Dean Mews. The house is beautiful and spacious each room has its own character and unique features. The garden is a great size and the children's play area meant that the kids were in heaven! The outside seating and features provide a really nice space to relax. We cannot thank the owners enough. They were amazingly helpful and provided lots of great suggestions for activities on our trip. There's lots to do in the area and we enjoyed all the day outs but I think the best bit of the holiday was being able to come back to Dean Mews at the end of day. We would definitely recommend visiting!
Absolutely beautiful property. Very peaceful it is in close proximity to the airport but we didn't hear any aircraft sounds at all. All the rooms have been decorated to a high standard. The decor is amazing the rooms have their own theme. There was enough space for two families of 4 and 3 and we loved the wood fired hot tub no chemicals in it Everything has been carefully thought about so you don't have to bring anything but yourselves. I would have liked bigger bath towels but that's my only comment. Beds are comfortable and luxurious. Coffee machines in every room and excellent wifi four teens with us The novelty of calling the gate to open it didn't wear off! Its just a lovely place to stay. We went to the Armouries not a relaxing drive as its through Leeds which was worth the visit, and to the city centre which is shopping heaven. We ate at El Gringos in Yeadon 10 minute drive twice as the kids loved it. We spent an afternoon in Harrogate which is a lovely drive. There was a bit of a failed day trip to the Bronte Parsonage not open Tuesdays even in school holidays but they had a lovely lunch to make up for it. We also paid visit to Tropical world which is short but sweet and the pub over the road does lovely food. There is a donkey sanctuary close by too but its not open to the public very often so check that too.
Brilliant place to say, peaceful location with great facilities, the wood fired hot tub was amazing and the kids loved the play area!
