We loved staying here! The location is truly breathtaking, nestled in such serene countryside. Sure, it’s on a farm so you’ll notice some farm smells, but that’s part of the charm. The cottage is spacious with lovely fixturesand the outdoor area is perfect for relaxing. The hot tub was a highlight-cleaned daily by the owner. The only thing missing was a stronger internet signal, a booster would really help. Overall, a peaceful, beautiful spot!
Oliver
Our family of four, including two kids aged 11 and 3, had a lovely relaxing time at Calf Cottage. It was pretty straightforward to get there, which was great. The place was spotless and beautifully decorated, making it feel cosy and welcoming. The owner left us some lovely cakes and eggs - such a thoughtful touch! The place is perfectly situated if you're after peace and quiet-seriously, it’s so relaxing. We went in November; sure, it was chilly and rainy, but the ever-changing views kept us captivated. Definitely a calming getaway, would recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay here! The location is lovely, tucked away from the busy road but still easy to get to for day trips. The views from the cottage are stunningand the hot tub area makes the most of it. The place is attached to the main house, with a long, secure garden-just a heads up if your dog’s reactive, as resident dogs visit sometimes. The cottage itself was spotless and comfy, though the Wi-Fi wasn’t always reliable, which is understandable given the spot. Overall, a great little retreat!
Martin

The scenery around the place is breathtakingand relaxing in the spa with a drink while enjoying the view was such a treat. Julia was lovely and made us feel really welcome. A lovely, comfy and warm cottage! The hot tub was fantastic. The views were stunning, even though the weather during our stay wasn't that great.
Emma
If you’re after some peace and quiet, away from the hustle and bustle, this place is just perfect! Sure, you’ll need a car to get around, but honestly, the views and seclusion make it all worthwhile. It’s surprisingly quiet for a working farm. The cottage is very well equippedand the hot tub was just lovely. We really appreciated the milk and cakes on arrival. The resident dog, Tammy, was super friendlyand she and our dog had a great time playing in the enclosed garden. There’s loads to do in the surrounding areaand we’re definitely thinking about coming back!
Lucy
What a stunning location, perfect for exploring the dales! Our host was incredibly welcoming and helpfuland we were truly impressed with the farm after we got a tour of the milking barn. I wish all dairy farmers would be like this! We hope to visit again soon.
Emily
We had a fantastic stay! It was 4 adults and our dogand the cottage was really well equipped. The location is absolutely beautiful with stunning views all around. It’s very dog friendly tooand there are great walks right from the cottage. Julie, our host, was really helpful. Honestly, we have no complaints at all and we’ll definitely be back!
Lily
What a lovely property! The host was fantastic. This cottage sits on a working farm and is a bit far out. It does mean that you’ll need a car for trips to the pubs and shops, but we’d recommend it if that doesn’t bother you.
