The Stables Reviews

Joanne
Lovely cottage great stay the hot tub is great after a long walk everything you could wish for
Lovely cottage, exactly as advertised and immaculately clean. Everything we needed was provided as well as treats which are very much appreciated. The owners live on site, we didn't have any issues when we were there but if we had I feel confident they would have sorted them. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will most likely return
Geoffrey
Small but perfectly formed. An ideal retreat for a couple looking for peace and quiet. The cottage has everyrhing to make a stay complete, and although it's in an isolated location, it's only a 5 minute drive from all essential amenities. The owners go above and beyond to provide a quality experience. Highly recommend.

Katy and her hubby were lovely, really welcoming and friendly. The hot tub was warm and very, very clean. The hob wouldnt work despite us having clean, dry hands. A couple more mugs for tea addicts would be much appreciated. The cottage was very smart and lovely. The walk from the cottage through the woods was perfect.
Absolutely bliss, tranquility and relaxation. Beautiful surroundings and walks a plenty. Lovely clean cottage and brilliant welcoming hosts. Would highly recommend.
2nd visit . Absolutely love it at the stables . Lovely little cottage . Great hosts , baked us a beautiful cake with home made jam . Surrounded with great walks . Will definitely be returning such a great little find

The stables was fantastic, katy is very welcoming with lots of local knowledge, some amazing walks in the doorstop, most relaxed holiday we have had in a while roll top bath and a super king bed in the bedroom and a private hot tub in the garden just topped it off, would highly recommend
A spotless clean property in beautiful surroundings with friendly owners.
Lovely accommodation and a very warm welcoming! !! Would definitely recommend and some nice gifts when we arrived. Home made shortbread, FANTASTIC!!!!!
An absolutely stunning property to stay in! The room and the way it was decorated was just perfect in keeping with the stable theme, the large metal bath was great along with the large walk in shower. Kitchen facilities were perfect for the two of us and easy to use. We couldn't have asked for a better situated place to stay, within walking distance to shops and pubs also close to many walking routes or driving distance to other attractions and locations! 1010 we will be coming back!
The Stables is little gem. The host Katy is lovely. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back again
Jennifer
We had a lovely stay, everything you could need for a relaxing break away. Plenty of local amenities and walks on your doorstep.
Loved it here . Beautiful place stunning surroundings .Lovely to wake up seeking deer first thing and listening to owls after sun down . So much wildlife . The hosts are fantastic . Give you all the privacy you need but on hand also if you need them . Underfloor heating , so its always toasty after a walk . Hot tub great for relaxing . Defiantly booking again later on this year to recharge batteries and let hair down . Katy is a gem dropped some homemade shortbread round . If youre looking for a break to unwind I think its perfect . You have local shops , pubs etc 10min walk away . Close but not too close as to impact on the surroundings. Lots of woodland to explore and country lanes to walk . Great walk in shower . Kitchen is perfect for two small freezer and separate fridge . We stayed a week but I could have easily done longer which is not like me Im usually happy to be going home .I would definitely recommend. 5 stars for me
What a great get away and amazing place. We really enjoyed it and the hot tub was the best. We will be back
This is an amazing cottage, with lovely owners and the surroundings are to die for. The hot tub was lovely after a full day of walking and very private. Would definitely come back here again
As mentioned, a light along the path to the hot tub and also to perhaps make mention of the narrow staircase. We loved our stay and hope to return. Thank you so much.
Fantastic location so peaceful Host couldn't do enough to look after us, Highly recommend!

Immaculately clean, beautifully restored cottage. The host was very welcoming and makes the best shortbread we've ever tasted. Will definitely return!!
The stables is a beautiful, well presented property. Katy the host was very friendly, helpful and most welcoming. We loved the little treats she had left for us. The hot tub and the bath attracted me to the property when I searched for the break and they didnt disappoint. The whole experience was so relaxing, I really didnt want to leave

Beautiful property set in a lovely surrounding area, plenty of walking in the area and great local food, and a private hot tub to relax in at the end of the day. Lovely owners, very helpful and friendly too Would definitely come back again!
We had a fantastic week staying in The Stables Honley. Helpful and friendly host and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Lovely to have the underfloor heating ready for our arrival on a cold and wet November evening. We definitely give this the thumbs up

My hubby and I had a blast at The Stables. A beautiful place to wake up in, loved the remote controlled skylight blinds. Katy, the owner is an absolute gem, we'll definitely be coming back soon. Hospitality included homemade shortbead which hubby says were delicious and Katy even made glutenfree macaroons which were equally as awesome. The property was very comfortable and cosy. The log burner created the perfect atmosphere in the space. The hottub was lovely to relax in, although a shelter would have been great for rainy days. All in all we had a great stay and will definitely be back very soon.
The Stables at Honley is Absolutely Fabulous! You will not be disappointed staying here Katie the owner is really friendly and helpful Our stay here was just delightful, we were gifted some home made yummy shortbread biscuits, a large bag of crisps, a bottle of milk and a bottle of cava on arrival, such special added touches to our stay. The property is set in a peaceful location with a dog walk straight out of your door that will take you through a lovely wood. We got to watch a farrier shoeing the horses just outside our window. The copper bath was a really nice feature which we enjoyed having a little soak in, we also enjoyed an evening spent in the hot tub too. If we visit Yorkshire again we would definitely only want to stay here. Lovely memories made. Thank you

The property was lovely very comfortable. Nice to have a hot tub. Had everything I needed for a lovely relaxing stay. Only disappointment was that there was no charging point for electric vehicles as stated in the description. I have a hybrid so it wasnt a problem. Very nice hosts and lovely area to explore.
Cottage was beautiful, well equipped with more than you would need. So clean, finished to a high standard. So many helpful instructions in a folder. Owners were lovely, very accommodating letting us check in a little early to feed our baby, they let our little boy stroke the horse too. Owners left a nice welcome gift, crisps, cava, homemade shortbread & milk. Hot tub was so relaxing and a nice space to enjoy on an evening one the little one was asleep. Only bit of constructive feedback I can give is maybe a shelter above above the hot tub so it can be used all year around. It didn't bother us as we had dry weather. I'd highly recommend & I'd go back again. Thank you for an excellent stay
Lauren
We had a lovely stay with our Labrador. Plenty of good walks in the area and nice pubs. The cottage was really nice and cosy. Loved the hot tub and big bath after a long days walk! The owners are really kind and left us shortbread etc which was amazing on arrival! Horses just outside the cottage which are lovely to see. Thank you for having us x
Very nice cottage, with some wonderful aesthetics positioned in a beautiful and peaceful surrounding area and easy access to tourist villages, sites and lovely dog walking areas. Lovely owners who made us feel welcome and even went above and beyond leaving us a bottle of prosecco, homemade shortbread and milk, tea, coffee etc. Myself, my partner and our dogs had a lovely break, we only wish we could have stayed longer. We would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

A great stay, such a beautiful property with everything you could need. The bath and the hot tub add that little bit of luxury.
Amazing cosy cottage right next to the horses. Peaceful with lovely dog walking straight from your door. All the facilities were super. Really top end fixtures and fittings.
