Tulip Lodge Reviews

Perfect lodge can't pick any fault at all well equipped. .. hot tub great at the end of the day even the weather was kind to us well worth a visit
Carolyn
Tulip lodge was lovely, in a nice quiet secluded area. All the lodges are well spaced out so you could enjoy your own space. The kitchen was extremely well stocked with all the utensils needed for cooking & doing your own food. The hot tub was excellent, very clean & obviously well maintained we enjoyed a dip in that each day before chilling out in the evening. The only bit of feedback I would give on a downside was there were no towel rails apart from the towel radiators & the mirrors were too high on the wall to sit on the stools to use productively to do make up & dry hair etc apart from that which is a minor detail we had a wonderful relaxing stay & would definitely recommend to other people to go there. We were only a short drive away from Whitby & SaltburnByTheSea so loads of opportunities for exploring around the area. Has a wonderful week & will definitely go back again. Thanks for a lovely stay. Xx
Had a fantastic few days at Tulip Lodge only wished wed booked for longer! Lodge was very clean and had everything we needed & the hot tub was a real luxury. The site is lovely & quiet with only 7 lodges. Parking right next to lodge which was perfect. Well definitely be back!

A well presented lodge with all the extras you could possibly need for your stay The welcome pack of tea, coffee, sugar, milk, crisps, biscuits and a bottle of wine was a lovely surprise The lodge is set in fantastic location quite and peaceful only 7 lodges well spaced out with your own parking space right outside the lodge and the best part was the hot tub in there every evening
Had a great time peaceful and relaxing enjoyed our visit
Perfect for what we wanted in an outstanding location
I booked this lodge based on its facilities, wifi, and hot tub, not its location. The reason for the short break was my autistic son's birthday. He loved his room, and the hot tub but the lack of working wifi caused some drama. I wouldn't class this lodge as having wifi because it never worked. I did call the mobile number to try and get it sorted but unfortunately they weren't on site. I would come back in a heartbeat with just the wife. Clean, well presented, lovely site and great area. Loved the bay. What amazing views.
Tulip lodge was a fantastic lodge. It was modern, spacious and clean. The site was quiet. Runswick Bay was amazing. The local pub was a 2 minute walk and so friendly. Including the gorgeous dog!! There was just 2 things that were disappointing, however they are not criticisms, just personal preferences. The WiFi was not great at all and this was a reason I booked the lodge. I know this may not bother most people and it may have been the whole area not just the lodge. We booked Tulip lodge as we thought it might be more private for the hot tub. Unfortunately it was next to gardens. We were very unlucky as for the first half of the holiday, the garden had very noisy people most of the time. This stopped us sitting outside. Luckily they were not there for the second half of the holiday. Again, this is just something that affected us and we may have just been unlucky, so again, it is not a criticism. We would definitely come back as it was a fantastic holiday. The bonus were the treats that were left for us including a bottle of prosecco which was an amazing touch. Thank you for a lovely holiday.
Can't fault the lodge. Clean and comfortable and has all the facilities you need. Thanks for sorting out the central heating which unfortunately needed at times as the weather not great but you can't control that Many thanks for a perfect week Cynthia, anne and Charlie the dog
Thoroughly enjoyed the holiday. Lovely to have the hospitality pack when we arrived. Beds extremely comfortable. Hot tub very relaxing. Local pubs excellent. The site and the people were nice. Monty dog loved it too! Hope to return.
Absolutely lovely lodge situated just 5 mins walk from the beach albeit up a very steep hill. The quality of the decor & furnishings is excellent and the lodge is equipped with everything you require for a break away. The addition of the hot tub is also an added bonus especially after a long day of walking along the Cleveland Way. We had a wonderful week and will definitely return. Thank you.
Really enjoyed our stay, comfortable, clean, spacious and just a short walk down to the beach. An absolute fabulous time Definitely hope to be back soon

The Grainary Wildlife Farm - YO25 3HS
about 15 Miles
Located in Harwood Dale Village, North Yorkshire we think this attraction makes a superb family day out and couples will also enjoy the nature walks in the area.  There are 6 nature walks in total surrounding the farm so walkers and lovers of the outdoors will be in their element. Some of our favourite walks include the Spring Flowers, Pond and Village walk which takes around 35 minutes, and the Meadow and Trees walk which takes one hour.
Scarborough Sea Life and Marine Sanctuary - YO12 6RP
about 21 Miles
If you are enjoying a lodge break in the Yorkshire Moors and Coast then a day trip to the Scarborough Sea Life and Marine Sanctuary highly recommended. This centre is one of the regions most popular attractions and is educational as well as fun. Visitors will enjoy a journey beneath the waves, meeting many strange, beautiful and fascinating creatures of the deep. As well as mighty sharks and beautiful rays guests can get up close to some more common creatures including star fish and can also meet the otters, seals and penguins at feeding time. The site also has children's play area and picnic tables as well as a restaurant and souvenir shop. Family tickets cost £46.80 but the Tourist Information Centres in Scarborough, Whitby or Filey often offer fantastic discounts.
Sea Life Marine Sanctuary - YO12 6RP
about 21 Miles
Located in the Scalby Mills area of Scarborough this makes a fun family day out for those who are interested in marine life. The fantastic ocean tank is well worth seeing - it's been transformed into a Turtle Reef and you can see an amazing array of colourful reef fish and coral. You may also catch a glimpse of the tropical sharks and turtles. Offering good value for money this is a day out with a difference and an all weather attraction.
Peasholm Park - YO12 6QQ
about 21 Miles
This attraction is ideal for sunny days as the beautiful park is ideal for wandering out and taking in the scenery.  You can hire boats including rowing boats and canoes to enjoy the views from the water.  The pedalos with the dragon heads are always a popular choice too. Look out for special events including the Battle of Peasholm Park Naval Battle which has been described as a "must see".  You can also take a ride on the North Bay Railway which will delight children.
Flamingo Land - YO60 7EW
about 22 Miles
Situated in Malton in North Yorkshire this has to be one of our favourite family days out.  It's a theme park and zoo all in one stretching over a massive 400 acres. With thrilling rides for the very daring like Cliff Hanger, Corkscrew and Kumali, there are also more gentle rides for the little ones such as Frog Hopper and Helitoys.  Family fun attractions include the 4D cinema, the lost river ride and the Little Monsters Den of Mischief. Check out their website for seasonal events which take place throughout the year and you can also gain more information about the zoo.  Flamingo Land is a resort as well as a theme park so you can also book accommodation there.
Betton Farm Visitor Centre - TF9 3PS
about 22 Miles
Betton Farm Visitor Centre is the ideal attraction close to the North Yorkshire coastal town of Scarborough. This animal farm has all the cute farm animals you would expect to see and will appeal to younger children especially.  A great place to both play and learn we think the Betton Farm Visitor centre is great value for money.  Check out their website for the latest opening times and admission costs.  Some of the highlights of the day might include meeting Sofie the Shetland Pony and Henry the goat, as well as the pot bellied pigs called Porky and Hammy.
Castle Howard - YO60 7DA
about 29 Miles
Castle Howard is one of the regions most beautiful and historic landmarks and is located in 1,000 acres of parkland with breathtaking gardens to explore. As well as exploring the castle visitors can enjoy attractios including the unique Land Train - the best way to see the entire park. There is also a large lake offering boat trips during the summer months. In high season the site is very popular with families and offers organised activities for children including tours, talks, crafting and animal encounters. The site also has a Nature Trail which is fun for the whole family and an Adventure Playground where children can run off some energy.
Yorkshire Lavender - YO60 6PB
about 29 Miles
Yorkshire Lavender is an amazing award winning attraction offering breathtaking panoramic views of York, a Café, Plant Nursery and Lavender Gardens. The 60 acre site is set in an area of outstanding natural beauty and is an excellent choice for a day trip. The onsite shops sells Lavender products such as bath and body treats, skincare, medicine and herbal remedies.
