Box Tree Escapes Reviews

We all enjoyed our stay at Box Tree Escapes. The proximity of the play area was great for the children in our party, and the hot tub was enjoyed by all. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and peaceful, and we enjoyed watching the hares and young pheasants in the field .Ian, the owner, responded very quickly to any queries that we had thank you.
Really lovely stay, looks exactly as shown on inside and Ian was very helpful!

No electric charging of PHEV allowed by the owner.

We had a lovrly 3 night stay, we all said we would definitely go back for another stay. The kitchen was well equipped, the MASSIVE tv was a bonus with the added access to Youtube and Netflix was thoroughly enjoyed. The weather wasnt on our side so we couldnt enjoy the BBQ as we planned however we enjoyed food indoors. And despite the rain we utilised the hot tub. It was great to know Ian was available on the phone and we felt safe during our stay knowing the area was gated securely.

Absolutely wonderful place to make memories with the family. It is so peaceful and in a great location. Would definitely recommend to others.
Such a gorgeous spacious lodge, with everything you need inside. This is our second time visiting here and both times we have absolutely loved it. Our kids ask to go back all the time, they call it our big hot tub holiday as we have been to quite a few but box tree allways stands out to them & us. Its also in a great location with plenty to do just a short drive away, some of the walks and views are just breathtaking! We will definitely be returning!
Lovely property and very friendly and helpful owner, a great space with all you ... Lovely property and very friendly and helpful owner, a great space with all you need during your stay would definitely go back

Lovely lodge Quiet, peaceful and during our week we were only family onsite so kids enjoyed park and small football pitch to themselves. Lodge itself very modern and well equipped Couple of small issues no lock on main bathroom door. Obviously causes some problems Also no washing machine? I would have thought this would be included. We had to travel to nearby laundrette during our week long stay. Thanks
Harriet
Absolutely beautiful property in a truly stunning location. Everything was up to a very high standard, and the owner couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. A truly peaceful and relaxing escape in a 5 star facility.
We had excellent stay in The wenning Ian was so helpful , he greeted us and explained things to us. We travelled with elderly parents absolutely perfect how everything was on one level and they had their own ensuite shower room Hot tub was great for me to relax in , so peaceful there as well. We will definitely go back and recommend to family and friends
Nicola
We booked this lodge as a surprise for my mother in laws 60th birthday. It did not disappointment. It was immaculately clean and had everything you needed to enjoy a weekend away. The owners were so welcoming and on hand at all times should you need anything. Would recommend it to anyone who wanted a quiet, peaceful and luxury break
Great place to stay, good for the children due to being fenced in. It was peaceful due to the amount of space and only having 4 bungalows in the vicinity. There were lots of lovely places to visit and lots of free parking. The hot tub was clean and kept well. The facilities were all great! All clean and fresh sheets. The kitchen could have done with a potato peeler and masher!! We have a keen mashed potato fan in our tribe. She missed them. Other than that cannot fault we all had a great holiday and really enjoyed it. Would definitely recommend and even consider going back again some day.

No electric charging of PHEV allowed by the owner.
Absolutely gorgeous lodge, fully fitted with everything you could need or want ! The 10 of us all enjoyed our weekend here, plenty of room in lounge, kitchen and bedrooms. To put the finishing touch to the weekend was the hot tub. Perfect

Ian we love you, we sorry Sincerely monkeys x

Despite dreadful weather, our family of 10 6 adults, 3 children and a baby had a fantastic time at The Wenning. The livingdining area was really spacious, so noone ever felt cramped or crowded. The wellequipped kitchen had everything we needed although a highchair and a cafetire would have been useful, and the whole lodge was comfortable and cosy. Relaxing and playing in the hottub, during the day and also in the evenings even in the rain, was such a treat. We would definitely recommend the lodge to families and would like to return in the future!
The lodge was very modern and extremely warm in fact we had to turn off most of the radiators it must be that well insulated. There is plenty of cutlery, glasses and crockery. The hot tub is great and we only wish the weather had been better to have a barbecue. The TV is one of the biggest I have ever seen and it was great to watch the New Year in. We were greeted by the owner Ian who showed us around we even had a Christmas tree with lights, but the nicest touch was an M&S hamper plus a tin of biscuits and a tin of chocolates as a Christmas surprise. Thank you for making our stay so welcome especially in these trying times
Melanie
We had a fantastic long weekend here recently, and cannot praise the owner or lodge enough. Superb quality and everything we needed to relax and enjoy ourselves. Will definitely return and recommend.
