The owner’s communication was top-notch, making everything easy from start to finish. We appreciated the thoughtful touches like wine and cakeand the clear manuals for appliances. We absolutely loved the place! The view over St Andrews is stunningand the spacious garden with that adorable wooden tractor was a hit with the kids. The huge balcony and hot tub made it even better. Honestly, this place was a real find! The location is spot onand it’s surprisingly well stocked - we cooked every day and found everything we needed, even spices and herbs we’d forgotten. If you’re travelling with dogs, this property is perfect - totally enclosed, we just left the door open for the pups to roam freely. There’s a Morrisons just over a mile awayand St Andrews is a quick drive. We’d definitely come back if we get the chance!

Smoo Cave is a popular attraction which can be enjoyed all year round but visitors should wrap up warm during the winter months.  This spectacular limestone sea-cave in Sutherland is the largest in Britain and is simply spectacular. The cave was formed by a burn that runs down into the rear chamber, as well as erosion caused by the sea. Guests can take the path from the car park which runs right through the cave. Boat trips are available in the summer months and are an excellent way to fully appreciate the cave from all angles.

Active Kid Adventure Park is the place to go if you have energetic children and are looking for a fun day out. The site boasts many attractions including a Zip Line, Target Football, Go Karts, Play Areas, Pony Rides and Crazy Golf. There are also some friendly farm animals to meet including a docile Donkey. So much more than a garden centre this place is ideal for a fun family day out in Angus. The garden centre stocks a huge range of plants, outdoor furniture and gardening equipment and also has a café serving tasty home made meals, cakes and snacks. The site has a large outdoor play area for children an ornamental pond and country park to explore. Halloween and Bonfire night's events are coming up soon. The annual Fireworks Display is really spectacular.
