We had an incredible stay! The lodge is absolutely gorgeous, set in a stunning spot with breathtaking views of the countryside and the sea. It’s so well kept, super cleanand the beds are really comfy. The big sofa was perfect for relaxing after a day out. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to light the log fire because the weather was so hot all week, but it looked lovely. The kitchen had everything we neededand our dog loved the big enclosed garden. We've stayed in quite a few lodges over the years, but this one really stood out. The views were absolutely stunningand the location was so peaceful, it was just what we needed. The place itself was finished to a really high standard, making our stay super comfortable. The owners were lovely-friendly but not overbearing-and shared some great tips about the area. Honestly, we wish we could take this lodge's views with us everywhere! Definitely planning to come back soon.

Honestly, this place is gorgeous! We loved how quiet it was, yet only a quick 5-minute drive into Anstruther and not much further to St Andrews. The garden was perfect for our dog to relax and roam freely. Loads of people asked us about it after seeing photos, so we’re definitely planning to return. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting a peaceful getaway with easy access to town!

Smoo Cave - IV27 4QB
about 25 Miles
Smoo Cave is a popular attraction which can be enjoyed all year round but visitors should wrap up warm during the winter months.  This spectacular limestone sea-cave in Sutherland is the largest in Britain and is simply spectacular. The cave was formed by a burn that runs down into the rear chamber, as well as erosion caused by the sea. Guests can take the path from the car park which runs right through the cave. Boat trips are available in the summer months and are an excellent way to fully appreciate the cave from all angles.
