Clara
Honestly, this spot is perfect for a chilled-out escape. There are just nine cosy cabins tucked away in a stunning bay overlooking the Solway, which makes it super peaceful. The cabins are spotless and well-equipped - honestly, they’ve thought of everything. It’s mainly couples and their pets staying here, which adds to the calm vibe. There are some lovely eateries nearby, plus the farm shops are worth a visit if you’re into local produce. Great for unwinding and taking it slow!
Emma

Honestly, this place exceeded our expectations! The photos don’t quite capture how lovely it is in person. It’s super clean, comfyand well-stocked with everything we needed. The hot tub was such a treat, always spotless thanks to daily cleaning. We loved having two smart TVs for streaming, made relaxing even better. The local shop and café are adorable, with great coffee, pizzaand cakes-perfect for a quick snack. The owners were easy to contact and really helpful. Definitely a five-star stay!

The scenery is stunning and the lodge is charming, but the bed was super hard and it felt quite isolated.
Emily
We had an amazing stay! The peaceful surroundings were just what we neededand the wildlife was incredible. The kids loved it so much, we've already booked again for next year!
James
Honestly, the website doesn't quite capture how lovely the place really is. There’s loads of brochures and info leaflets about the local spots, which was handy. The owners kept things discreetand the quality of the fittings was top-notch. Plus, we got in early, which made everything smoother. Usually, I don’t bother with these surveys, but this was worth it!
Emma
We had a lovely time, it was perfect to unwind and leave all stress behind. Looking forward to coming back soon!

We stayed here again and it was just as lovely as before. The lodge is spotless, super comfyand has all the essentials. The setting is stunning - right by the water, where we spotted lots of birds, a sealand even deer nearby in the mornings. Definitely recommend this place for a peaceful getaway!
Emma
We stayed in Platinum 4 at the far end of the lodgesand it was pretty fantastic. The place is super dog-friendly, with a secure patio where our pup could relax while we enjoyed the hot tub. Waking up to the sound of waves and seeing the sea was lovely. We also got lucky with clear views of the Lakes and even spotted the wind turbines a few days. Definitely recommend!

We also recommend a visit to Castle Douglas and the Treasure Hunt Treasure Trails. These treasure hunts are great fun for the whole family and are an entertaining way to explore a new town or village. Children will enjoy solving the clues whilst learning about the history of the area. The walking trail is suitable for wheelchair users and those with pushchairs so no one is left out of the fun.

Kids can run around on the Soft Play Area while mum and dad relax in the Tea Room. There is also a Farm Shop onsite selling toys, gifts and fresh local produce including cakes and jams. Lake District Wildlife Park - CA12 4RD

We love this day out in Cumbria where you're encouraged to "take a fresh look".  Some of the amazing animals you will get to see include the only Canadian Lynx in the UK and you will have the opportunity to help their Lynx Conservation Project.  The Asian Fishing Cat is also well worth a look - these cats are known for diving under the water and catching fish!  Other activities include fantastic flying displays and play areas for the little ones...
