4 Tree Tops Reviews

Benita
A lovely place to stay, the accommodation and the site in general. The staff are amongst the best that we've ever experienced, which also makes a big difference! Thank you for a great holiday! Mark and Benita.

Had a brilliant stay. The lodge was well equipped and spotlessly clean. The site was lovely and it was so peaceful. We used the barrestaurant a couple of times and the food was great.
The lodge was lovely and comfortable and plan on another stay. All staff very friendly .

Unfortunately, we havent had a good stay at 4 Tree Tops at all. Weve been to Stonerush Valley on 2 previous occasions and always enjoyed the experience, but we wont be coming back again after this one. From Tuesday afternoon through to Thursday afternoon it feels like all weve heard is the sound of strimmers and leaf blowers outside during the day. Its been pretty constant. We were happy to let it slide on the first afternoon as appreciate that they need to maintain the grounds, but they have been at it during the day for 3 days, and the noise levels are a bit ridiculous. We were actually put off sitting in the hot tub on Wednesday afternoon because of the level of noise. We did bring up the noise issues with the site through emails on 2 occasions during our stay, but we didnt get any resolution they didnt offer any apology and they just insisted that they have a lot of ground to maintain. Completely understand this, but the length of time the work was going on for as well as the noise it was creating was too much. To make matters worse, we were then woken on Friday morning by noise from a gas truck outside the lodge again, can understand that that gas stores need to be refilled, but why do this early on a Friday morning right outside the lodge!? Other minor issues there is an unpleasant smell coming from the main bedroom ensuite and there is what appears to be black mould growing in this bathroom. Also, the meal we had at the onsite restaurant wasnt as good as weve had previously, which is a shame because the food was always really nice. It wasnt bad by any means, just not up to the level weve had in previous years. Were actually leaving a day earlier than our checkout date given the above as were just feeling a bit fed up of the experience and the lack of customer care weve received. I dont see how Sykes can say this lodge offers the ultimate escape to tranquility given the experience weve had.
Andrew
Absolutely fantastic, lovely setting, Lodge was comfy, quiet and had everything you could need. Hot tub amazing.
Jessica
Gorgeous property and perfect location. Only fault was that on the last couple of days the hot tub seemed a bit dirty, not sure if it was treated towards the end of our stay. Other than that Id say 1010 and will defo book again.
We all had a fantastic holiday accommodation was lovely and the hot tub was a great way to relax
Anthony
Too many steps for disabled people. Large comfortable lodge with good heating for cooler days. Well equipped kitchen. Comfortable large bedrooms.
Clarissa
What an amazing place to stay! 1010 would recommend and will definitely come again!
A small shop on site would be useful. Tree tops was an amazing lodge in a tranquil setting with really friendly and helpful staff especially Kevin who went above and beyond what was asked of him.
Just a pity that the Old Mill isn't open on more days
Suzanne
4 Tree Tops cottage was located in a beautiful setting, the cottage was very clean, beautiful and all you need for a holiday. Totally recommend restaurant onsite. The hut tub was amazing even on a cold and wet evening
We had a thoroughly lovely week at 4 TreeTops and highly recommend the property. Everything was good, however there was no TV in the second bedroom as advertised in the details, not a problem to us but maybe to others. Very quiet site and the property is totally private. We enjoyed the use of the south westerly decked balcony and the hot tub was a joy each day. There is a washing machine, despite a review saying the contrary, and a jolly good one at that. Will definitely be booking again.
Matthew
We had a wonderful stay, there was only a few things we would say could have improved, the windows around the sides and above the beds could do with better light blockage, the blinds dont do a very good job, also, it would be nice if there was a proper allocation for extra pillows and outdoor lounge pillows as we had to stuff it all down the back of the sofa when not in use, a washing machine would be nice for longer visits as well. The entrance road to the Tree Tops area could do with evening out also, far too bumpy. Other than these few improvements, it was lovely.
Stephen
Lovely lodge in a fantastic location.
The property and grounds was lovely! The hottub was definitely the star of the show and the rooms were clean and comfortable. However our fridge did not work at all maintenance attended and advised that I may take several days to cool down properly which is honestly unacceptable so I wouldn't book again on that basis as we lost in excess of 50 on food that could not be refrigerated an essential in a self catering property
We agree with a previous revue that the sofa covers need a good clean bar this we were extremely pleased with everything else. Location spot on ,privacy, on site restaurant no complaints at all. We didn't think we would use the hot tub but first evening we tried it and every day after that we went in it !! Plenty to do locally , Looe , Polperro coastal walk stunning Eden Project , Tintagel or just chill . Very enjoyable staycation
Just returned from a weeks stay at treetops at stone rush lakes. Beautiful lodge, bed comfy, everything you could need in the kitchen, looked like a brand new kitchen! Only slight niggle is that both sofas in lounge and main bedroom were very grubby and not comfortable at all, although this didnt spoil our stay! Had a problem first day with temp of hot tub but was very promptly sorted and was fabulous for rest of our stay. Ate a couple of times in the restaurant, both meals lovely. Stone rush lakes is down a narrow lane but plenty of passing places! However path to treetops is all gravel and our car struggled on the way up and was very bumpy and uneven due to path surface so would advise caution when driving on it.
Unfortunately we had to submit a complaint following not having a water supply for the first two days of our stay. I do not think the site were helpful enough regarding the problem and failed to tell us, instead leaving bottled water by the front door. We booked a 5 star lodge and unfortunately without the use of the toilet, shower and hot tubfor the first 2 days was not the best start to the holiday. The cleanliness of the lodge was also questionable with many stains on the sofa and other furniture.
