Avalennek Reviews

Love staying here second time we have stayed an hopefully many more. Village is lovely everyone really nice.

The property is modern and beautiful ,which fulfilled all our needs, even during some very bad weather . The owners made us very welcome ,and made us feel special .
Nicola
A really lovely house. Great decor. All needs have been thought of. Three well sized bedrooms. Beautiful terrace looking out over the garden. The village itself has a lovely pub, a well stocked shop and a fantastic butchers.
Joanne
The house was absolutely amazing, it had everything you could possibly need. Very dog friendly too with an amazing enclosed garden which our dog loved just wondering around in. We as a family had an amazing relaxing time, even though the weather was not great, it did not impact, as we had this beautiful house to relax and play games in. The welcome pack from the owner was so special, especially the flowers, balloon and card for our anniversary very thoughtful. Thank you for making our holiday so special. Recommend, friendly quiet local pub, pheasant Inn, pasties from butchers are amazing, The Smugglers Den Inn, amazing food, and dog friendly, the Bowgie Inn lovely location, no dogs allowed inside but can sit outside, there is seating looking out over the beach. Football golf is great for a couple of hours exercise and fresh air. Quad biking is expensive, but well worth it as our son and his friend loved it, again dog friendly you can watch from the bridge with your dog.
Rebecca
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the superb Avalennek in early July. The place was just so lovely, clean, modern and everything you could think of needing was there for you to use. We all loved the hot tub and the dogs enjoyed your enclosed garden. The hamper of goodies left ready for our arrival was also a lovely touch. It's also so conveniently situated for everything we wanted to do. Beach days at Crantock, Holywell & Perranporth. Lappa Valley for the children. And St.Ives, Tintagel Castle and the Eden Project for days out. Thank you so much to Rebecca, we hope to come and stay again soon. Xx
Avalennek is a lovely holiday home. The upside down feature has many benefits especially the terrace and views from the lounge area where you can look across the country side and watch a spot of cricket!! The house is very well equipped and a dip in the hot top rounds off a fun day. Thank you Rebecca for the goodies which greeted us. We had a brilliant holiday and hope to return next year.
Great property all round, amazing views off the terrace. Owner very helpful. Would definitely recommend
Wow! What an amazing place! Everything you could wish for and more. The grandchildren loved the hot tub, garden and balcony. Not sure how we are going to top this one...
Michael
Beautiful property, well provisioned, excellent area, short drive to all amenities and sunset.
The property was very well equipped and honestly felt like a home away from home. The welcome pack was a lovely touch, and we enjoyed the balcony and hot tub. Was really well equipped for our dog, as well. We had a lovely time. The house itself was lovely, and wonderful beaches and walks only a half hour or less! drive away. Would recommend to friends and family and definitely stay again.
Michael John
Our second time of going back. We were welcomed with a cream tea, cakes and lots of other goodies. The house is beautiful inside and out very spacious, very clean, lots of games for young children in the event of rain. It's conveniently located for many of the attractions in Cornwall. We had all the facilities we needed and the equipment to eat in if desired, incuding a BBQ. There is also a hot tub which would easily fit up to six people. We will definitely return.
Annelis
Beautiful property, great location and well equipped. Lots of attention to detail. Will be back!
We had a lovely week. The house was just as described and had everything we needed. Great location too thats literally a 10 min drive to Holywell beach. Bedrooms are all a good size and well decorated. Our 10 and 14 year old loved their rooms and own space! Rebecca was great. We had a small issue with the kitchen sink being blocked and she came round the next morning and got it all sorted for us. The hot tub also played up on the last but one day but again excellent communication to try and get it sorted. Wed definately recommend and would love to return in the future! Oh and the hamper on arrival was amazing.. scones, wine, milk, shortbread.. lovely touch
We had a wonderful stay at Avalennek, everything you needed was there, beautiful accommodation and a great location. Rebecca was a thoughtful host. Highly recommended.
Fantastic place ! Spotless. Very warm and welcoming touches throughout. Facilities fabulous and everything in full working order. Absolutely loved our stay here and if we visit Cornwall again, this is where we will stay for sure. Brilliant hosts ! Cannot recommend it high enough.
Accommodation was beautiful, well decorated and stocked. Location was great, definitely recommend the local pub! Rebecca owner was fantastic with anything we needed. Lovely arrival complimentary gifts for us and even our Labrador Oscar. Highly recommended Avalennek to all.
Cheryl
We had a great stay, all the comforts of home in a beautiful setting. Great location. Pubs and shop on your doorstep. We will definitely be coming back.
Thank you for another wonderful stay. The house was once again fabulous in every way. Literally home from home, everything you need for a comfortable relaxing holiday. Ideal location to get out and about and explore beautiful Cornwall. Would highly recommend. A big thank you love Vickie, Andy, Eva and Peggy xx
We had a lovely stay here, the house and all the facilities are to a very high standard. Would definitely recommend staying here.
Leslie
The property boasts excellent comforts throughout, with luxurious beds, lovely showers, ample seating both indoors and outside and a beautiful hot tub. The enclosed garden is more than suitable for your fur baby to enjoy, along with loads of thought by the owners by providing a feed station, and throws. When you walk in, you really get an overwhelming Wow. This is nice. Then once you have seen the size of the bedrooms. You enter the lounge, diner, kitchen area on the first floor. Yes, the area is light welcoming and extremely well configured. The balcony boasts a very useful seating area with a gas BBQ not used by us. Views over the local cricket pitch and the town football club. For a perfect base to visit Cornwall you must stay here....
The stay at this home was better than expected! It was clean on arrival, is really nicely decorated and has all of the facilities you will need. The balcony and hot tub are great and the local scones that were left for us on checking in were a really nice touch. Will definitely be returning!
A superb property. Looked great online and didn't disappoint. The property contained everything we needed
Melvyn
What a wonderful place to stay. The photos do not do it justice ,it is a high end property with furniture to match. The owners made us very welcome as did the locals. Many thanks.
Absolutely amazing place, every little extra included makes the stay even more comfortable. Polite and helpful owners. Local to Newquay beaches roughly 9 minutes drive... Would 100 stay again!
Fabulous property and equipped with everything you would need. Would highly recommend. Tucked away off the road means its nice and quiet and lovely views from the balcony. Village feel but only 10 mins from Newquay so you get the best of both worlds.
Michael John
A lovely property. The owners left us a nice welcoming pack. Lots of local information. Located centrally and therefore ideal to see many other parts of Cornwall.
Nicola
Beautiful, modern accommodation with literally everything you could want for a very comfortable stayfab welcome pack! Great local pub with lovely food Will definitely be staying again!
This is a beautiful modern but homily place to stay. Everything that you could need or want was provided. It was my Husbands birthday during our stay, he was left balloons banners lovely fresh scones & accompaniments, tea coffee to name a few. We would throughly recommend this accommodation situated in a lovely village with a local pub that provided lovely mealssnacks.
We have just returned from a fantastic weeks stay at Avalennek. We would highly recommend this holiday home which is exactly what it is..a home from home. From tampax to tinfoil, salt and pepper to fabric softener you literally needed to pack your clothes and thats it. We had a wonderful holiday. Property is in a prime location a short drive to so many facilities. We even met the resident hedgehog!!! We all look forward to staying again love Vickie, Andy, Eva & Peggy
Excellent modern accommodation every thing you would need on your holiday. My family and I had a fantastic time. Great outside space for your dog as it has a big garden with apple trees .Would love to return next year.
Jacqueline
This is a superb holiday home with great facilities. I say home because of the many little touches, plants etc which gives it a lovely homely feeling. It's fantasticly stocked with almost All you need for a great time. The only thing that we missed was a teapot, there were multiple ways to make coffee but no teapot.that apart we had a lovely time and would not hesitate to book again. The property was spotlessly clean with lovely soft towels comfortable beds, and great sofas.
