Lily Reviews

Hannah
We stayed in lodge Lily over new years, when arrived the lodge was very clean and looked exactly like the pictures. Owners gave us a chocolate cake and Prosecco the cake was amazing. Everything was spot on, we all really enjoyed ourselves for new years. Beds was really comfy and comfy pillows. Would definitely visit again!

Lovely log cabin very peaceful site throughly enjoyable stay
Great place clean and spacious, beautiful area within walking distance to lake with plenty to relax including cafe for a stop However jacuzzi wasn't clean during our 5 days there, perhaps it was checked but we didn't see anyone coming? Also it's super dog friendly and tbh I booked it because on the website it looked like it's fully fenced unfortunately it wasnt so not great for dogs as they had to stay in doors instead. If I could change one think it would be fence all over the property, however that was my personal needs, overall A place and lodge and would definitely recommend and come back! Thank you so much
We had a lovely week at Lily. Had everything we needed. Very clean and a nice touch with the complimentary cream tea. The location to the lake made it easy for walks with the dog. The weather wasnt on our side, but sitting in the hot tub in the rain was still a relaxing time

This is a new lodge and new site, the slatted blinds in the bedrooms do not prevent the early morning light, so having a lie in is not an option. Unfortunately the bedding is not of great quality with bobbled flannel sheets and poor quality duvet and pillow cases. We did experience a lot of rain and this appeared to bring out hundreds of blow fly lava all over the patio area making a trip to the hot tub a horrible experience.
Amazing property and lovely personal touches Jan and scones, milk in the fridge and a lovely welcome card. The property was spotlessly clean and the sight was small and secluded so perfect for quiet break will definitely return and I highly recommend it .
Beautiful location and beautifully well kept. Very welcoming, homely cabin and clean site and facilities. Everything as described and more, used as a central base for a 5 day trip around Cornwall. Whilst staying we visited, Bude, Tintagel, St Ives, St Michaels mount, Newquay, lands end and more.. all within easy access driving distances, and the bonus of a hot tub waiting on return for a peaceful evening to relax. Owners was very pleasant, a genuine accommodation and I will be returning in the summer paddle boards and wetsuit ready.
We had a fantastic stay at Lily Lodge over New Year's. The lodge was spacious enough for 6 adults and was furnished to a high standard. It was clean and well maintained with everything we needed for our stay. The host was really responsive to emails which was helpful. We would definitely return.

Booked very last minute for a family get away. Even with only a few hours notice the owners accomodated us. The place was absolutely spotless! Perfect few nights away. Had great facilities i even managed to cook a roast in the kitchen! The hot tub was bliss! Loved the added touch of some games included. Lovely cafe within walking distance. Had a great time despite the rain! If i had to add one comment it would be for the master bedroom to upgrade to a kingsize bed but thats me being super picky and used to a superking at home!! Great lodge. Highly recommended.

Lily the lodge is the best we have ever stayed in and we have had rather a lot there was everything you could want in a home from home and more a really generous welcome pack. W.e did experience a problem when the weather turned bad and asked reception for help as you do just to be told it had nothing to do with them so we decided to pack up and come home early and have since been in contact with the owners and they have sorted it all out and we plan to go back next year they realy are very nice people.
Claire
We had a wonderful weeks stay at this lodge. It really is a stunning place, so clean and with absolutely everything you could need provided! The beds were very comfortable and the open plan loungekitchen provided a lovely family space to chill on a wet evening. The hot tub was amazing and there is so much to do nearby. Our children aged 10 and 11 loved the holiday and didn't miss the beach at all! They enjoyed it so much, the TV wasn't switched on once all week!
Stephen
Lovely stay. Really clean and lovely place for a well needed family holiday. Owners really helped out with the heat as well. Popped around straight away to help make our stay more comfortable
Edmund
Lodge was great . The comfort of double bed mattress not so good. The bathroom door does not close properly . Bedroom handles on doors noisy to open. All in all enjoyed our stay .
Lodge was very nice, however, holiday was ruined by noisy building work as the site is still under construction lodge opposite was being worked on from 8am until after 6pm on most days. Reception not helpful and rude as Lily lodge is the only lodge managed through Sykes and not through Roadford Lake Lodges so they failed to inform us or the owners of the building work commencing. Left early to the sound of a JCB and a wacker plate!
