Stargaze Reviews

Hot tub area needs to be closed off more from elements.
Had an amazing stay, couldnt say a bad word about anything! One small thing is when you enter the drive way for the lodge, that is lit up with solar lights, but when you get to the next lot of gates its extremely dark, even with a torch on your phone we ended up going to somebody elses cabin before we found our own. There were solar lights all around the cabins but none of them worked! Other than that, had a beautiful time!
Absolutely loved the place! Couldnt fault it! It was spotless on arrival, had a warm feeling to the property. Great views of the countryside. Its a great location for both escaping and exploring Cornwall. Couldnt fault! Will probably be booking it again in the future and highly recommend to friends and family!

We had stayed in a glamping pod before but Stargaze was undoubtedly the best yet. Its is very well situated for you to explore North and South Cornwall. My husband and I loved every minute from waking up to surrounding countryside views and relaxing in the jet hot tub of an evening to watch the amazing sunsets. We are both relaxed ready to go back to our very fast paced careers. The pod was clean and had everything you wanted from a first aid kit to an iron and ironing board. We had dinner at a lovely country pub the fox and hound which was five minutes drive and offered great food however there is a combi oven and stove top in the pod if you want to do self catering. The bed was really comfortable and we slept well every night. There were towels provided and nothing was trouble for the owners to make your stay trouble free and relaxing. We will definitely book again in the future.

Had the most amazing time at this pod with my partner and son, it exceeded expectations. There was so many lovely little touches such as complimentary prosecco, carton of milk, cereal, bird seed, nothing was too much bother either, I asked if I could have some extra towels which I got a reply straight away and Andrew came down with them, same with firewood, instant replies and drop offs! We drove down to Cornwall and most things we wanted to do was about a 30 min drive, loads of stuff to do near and far, definitely want to go back at some point!
The cabin was absolutely amazing. The attention to detail and the cleanliness was outstanding. This would all be perfect if there had been available upright chairs for outside. Though the bench table looked lovely it was not comfortable to sit at. A table and chairs would of been better.

We had a wonderful stay at Stargaze. Location and facilities were perfect. Beaches and Kennall Vale nearby or just staying at the site and taking in the views from the hot tub, we loved our stay. The hosts also went above and beyond, with little extras such as fresh milk and a welcoming bottle of Prosecco. Living nearby they were on hand for any queries we had, being super quick to respond. The perfect getaway, well definitely be back.
Stargaze was the most perfect place to spend my birthday. The location was amazing and everywhere we wanted to go was within an hours drive. We were thoroughly impressed with the use of a small space, it felt much larger inside than it actually is! The bed was comfy and the hot tub was a perfect way to start and end our days. It was a lovely experience to cook on the fire pit every night and an amazing view to enjoy our food with. We were the only ones there for the first night but even when our neighbours arrived we felt we had ample privacy. The only constructive feedback I can think of is that it would be great to keep a scouring brush under the sink for the fire pit as it was still a little greasy from previous use and the sponge wasn't enough to get it off. We will most definitely be back again, thank you so much for an experience to remember!

Absolutely stunning cabin stay for my partners birthday! So clean upon arrival and had everything you need. Loved the little interior details that made it feel very homely. The welcome gift of Prosecco was a lovely touch and much appreciated! As the cabin name describes, we could star gaze in the hot tub at night and it was just perfection! Only fault I could find was that this cabin sits between 2 others in close proximity which is not described in the listing, we thought this was a stand alone cabin. More privacy between hot tubs would be good as we felt abit watched by our neighbours. Our 2nd night a family checked into one of them and their voices carried down the hill so we could hear all conversations and kids screeching. However that is no fault of the hosts and Andrew was lovely to talk to! Thank you for having us
Olivia
Really enjoyed our stay at Stargaze. We definitely picked the right week to visit! The weather was so lovely all week. Great location and not far from Penryn which has supermarkets, pubs & takeaways. We visited Falmouth, St Ives & Truro which were all not too far away. We enjoyed the hot tub but we did feel it could have been a bit more private as its right in the eye line of the entrance where other guests are cominggoing.
Was a lovely lodge with very welcoming hosts. We had a lovely stay and will be returning
Stargaze was beautiful! We had the most incredible weekend stay, lots of little touches made it extra special! Thank you xx
Jessie
We had the most wonderful weekend here. Stargaze was beautiful, clean and cosy. Andy was on hand if we needed anything. Beautiful setting and accommodation. The perfect relaxing getaway.
Michael
We had some awful weather for our weeks stay but the lodge was warm and cosy. Liked the extra little touches too.We still enjoyed wind blown hot tubs. Host, Andrew was friendly and helpful and dealt with any weather related issues. Would recommend Olju lodges.
Kieran
Lovely place to stay with plenty of things in the area, the lodge we stayed in was brilliant. Thank you. Only one thing and thats the small light above bed seems to have a loose connection as it kept flickering, not complaining just Letting you know.
We Stayed at the end of September, though the weather wasnt the best both owners did everything they could to make our stay the best it could be. From answering our phone calls for support straight away, to bringing Prosecco to brighten a rainy day. The cleanliness was faultless and everything we needed for our stay was provided within the cabin. The only downfall we found were the very narrow roads to get to the lodge. However, we did find that a lot of roads within cornwall are like this. Will definitely rebook in the future
Really Enjoyed our stay at Stargaze! Ideal location to travel around Cornwall, Hope to return soon.
Catherine
Great location. Excellent facilities and very comfortable.
Stargaze was above our expectations, beautiful and clean with picturesque views. It acted as a good base for us to go and see Lands end, Eden project, Penndennis Castle. It was very well catered for a family of four. Kids loved the games that were provided and made full use of them. There was a barbecue provided but we didnt use it. Hot tub was well maintained and boys loved it. Andrew is wonderful host, very welcoming. We had an amazing break. We fully recommend this to others.
Debbie
Great holiday let would be handy to have a larger door mat to help keep the lodge clean when raining and a clothes horse would be handy to be able to hang wet towels swim stuff on. We really enjoyed our stay.
