The Foxs Den Reviews

Emily
We loved the cottage’s lovely garden, perfect for our dog to run around. Inside, everything was there that we needed. The walk to the local pub only took about 15 minutes, but do watch out on the way back in the dark-there’s no pavement part of the route and the road’s quite narrow, so a torch is essential. The place is pretty remote, so loads of great walking with fantastic views. We also visited the dog beaches, about 50 minutes drive to the north coastand Inks Smokehouse is a must-visit, just 10 minutes away.
Emma
We absolutely loved our stay at the Fox's Den! The place felt just like a home from home, with a cosy bed and a well-stocked kitchen. The hot tub was perfect for unwinding after a day outand the alpacas greeting us each morning were such a treat. Honestly, we’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a lovely getaway.
Emma

We loved the cosy cottage and the gorgeous garden, perfect for our big dogs. The hot tub in the evening was such a treat after a day out. Peaceful spot, close to lovely places to explore. Highly recommend!
Emma
Everything was wonderful, especially the garden and the relaxing hot tub experience!
Oliver
Staying at Foxes Den felt just like being at home. Mandy and Kelvin really made us feel so welcome, which was lovely. We arrived a bit later than expected but found a lovely hamper waiting for us, which was a nice touch. The beds were super comfyand the kitchen had everything we needed - even managed to cook a Christmas dinner! The hot tub was such a treat after days exploring the coast or walking on the moors right outside the door. Would definitely recommend!
Laura
We had a really lovely stay here! The place is spacious and spotless, which was great. The garden has been updated since the photos-there are now some nice steps and a gate, making it easier to enjoy the view of the alpacas. For those with small dogs like ours who tend to be flight risks, the garden isn’t quite as secure as it looks in the photos, but honestly, it’s still an improvement. Plus, there are fantastic walks nearby, so no worries overall!
Hannah
This was a fabulous family holiday home that had everything we needed for our three children. The scones and biscuits waiting for us were such a lovely touch, as was the entertainment from the alpacas next door! The owners were super approachable, helpfuland friendly. We were no more than an hour away from anywhere we wanted to explore. Highly recommended!
Claire
We absolutely loved our stay! It's our second time visitingand we couldn't be happier. The owners are so lovely and the alpacas are just adorable!. The house is wonderful too. We'll definitely be back!
Simon
We had a fantastic chilled holiday in this beautiful cottage! We would definitely recommend it to our friends.
Tom
The accommodation suited the 5 of us perfectly! We really couldn't have asked for more from the hosts, who even let us go up and feed their alpacas one morning. We were delighted to find a lovely cream tea waiting for us, which we thought was a really nice touch. Most of the cleaning products we needed were available, including washing tablets and dishwasher tablets. The hot tub was gorgeous, even with a bit of snow around. If we could give more than 5 stars, we definitely would!
Sarah
We had a wonderful stay! It was really comfy and relaxingand the hot tub was fabulous. We’d definitely recommend it. Thanks a lot, Sarah and Phil!
Emma
What a beautiful property! It's really well equipped too. The location is so peaceful, making it the perfect escape from our busy work and family life. You definitely need a vehicle and just a heads up about those narrow country lanes. The hot tub is absolutely lovely for unwinding as the night comes in. The hosts were very helpful as well. The property feels cosyand it wasn’t cold at the end of October. That log burner will make things so warm! Unfortunately, our weather was quite wet, which limited places to visit with the dogs. But if you're after a quiet getaway, you'll really love this!
Claire
Fox's Den felt just like a home from home, providing everything we needed. It was beautifully clean and very tastefully decoratedand having the hot tub was such an added bonus! We would highly recommend Mandy and Kelvin's Fox's Den.
James
We had a wonderful welcome package with scones, jamand clotted cream. The house was super clean and really functional. Honestly, this was the best cottage we've stayed atand we've tried a few! The decor was outstandingand those little touches made it feel so homey. The back garden was perfect for us and our cockapoo. He found the stones nice and cool in the heat, although we did lay towels across them at times since he was struggling to walk on them (he has sensitive feet).
Oliver
What a fabulous location! The owners were really friendlyand the house was spotless. We definitely recommend booking it!
Tom
We found this property to be perfect and would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a great place!
Emily
Just returned from a brilliant week away at Christmas! The house was a lot bigger than we expected, which was a nice surprise with three kids in tow. It was lovely and clean, really warm and welcoming. The location is perfect for exploring, especially if you enjoy walking. The hot tub was an added bonus. Crow Nest was great for food, but it’s quite small, so we’d recommend booking. We all had an amazing timeand even though the weather wasn’t the best, it didn’t stop us from enjoying ourselves. Thanks a lot!
Samantha
Amazing!! A wonderful property in beautiful location with everything and more you could wish for. Mandy and her family have thought about absolutely everything x We had a Superb time and cannot wait to return to explore more of the surrounding areas with our dog, thank you so much for making our honeymoon just perfect
Simon
This cottage is just lovely, with everything you'd need for a comfortable stay! We would definitely go back again.
