North Harbour House Reviews

Thanks for a very comfortable stay. Everything was very clean and it's been very effectively modernised. Lots of lighting for our hours spent reading whilst the weather blasted outside! Walkable to everywhere the car didn't move in our 5 days. Could've done with a bit of grass for our welltrained dog to wee on, but otherwise v dogfriendly with good walks and friendly pubs nearby tip go north up the Rodwell Trail to find a big playing field within half a mile for offlead fun. Hot tub lovely! Kingsize bed on the top floor was very creaky and squeaky hopefully fixable but everything else v wellmaintained. The heating is very effective thank goodness v wet and windy weather during our stay! though this also meant the very cosy duvets were too hot for us. Also the pillows were all v soft one of us needs a firm pillow to help with snoring. We've noticed most hotels and cottages put a mix of pillow types on the beds these days, just in case! But these were tiny details and we'd happily stay again. Poor Weymouth currently lacks much to do in winter weather other than the horrifically expensive Sealife there's currently no museum or cinema, and the only proper bookshop seems erratically halfopen and poorly publicised we only found it by accident at 66 Park St on the day we left. Very many of the old houses are now holiday cottages so perhaps we're part of the problem not enough locals keeping the town going all year? Not enough employment out of season? Hopefully things will look up at some undefined point museum due to reopen when? Pavilion promising to run films 'soon'? We couldn't find out. The pubs, hotels and shops seemed to cling on by their fingernails in Feb, yet it's a really lovely and wellpreserved historic town that deserves so much more, with some lovely arts and crafts shops and a good range of others. It has good trains and could boom like Brighton if it just got a bit more yearround investment. Fingers crossed for our next visit!

We had a fantastic stay the pictures do not do this house justice. The beds are extremely comfortable and the hot tub is much bigger than it looks in the pictures. Whilst it was inconvenient having to park elsewhere, especially with three young children, my husband never struggled to find a space nearby and had no trouble reversing out into the road after dropping me and the children off. The welcome basket is such a lovely gesture, thank you!
The house is nicely decorated and was spotlessly clean. The location is ok. Not particularly pretty but having the history of the house was a nice touch and helped to appreciate it more. It is a very good location to walk into Weymouth harbour and seafront which we enjoyed most days.

What a wonderful place to stay! We are a family of 5, with three children ages 11 17 and the property was perfect for us. There was plenty of space and it had everything we needed to make it feel like a home away from home. The hot tub was great for relaxing at the end of our fun filled days. The location was great. The harbour and main beach were only a short walk in one direction, whilst there was a lovely little cove we could stroll to in the other. Parking isn't available directly at the property but there is plenty of space nearby and for us this wasn't an issue. Although we didn't meet the owners, we did have contact with them as they got intouch to prior to our holiday to make sure we had all the information we needed and to wish us a happy holiday. They left a lovely welcome basket too. All of this was very much appreciated. We wouldn't hesitate to highly recommend this property.
A lovely modern, clean house with everything you could need. Few mins walk to the harbour although hilly. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend as so many things in walking distance.
Caroline
The house was very clean and tidy. Loads of space ideal size with a family of 6. Hot tub very relaxing, would definitely come back to Harbour House.

We had a great stay over new year. The house was lovely and very clean. We enjoyed the hot tub. It was a great location and only a short walk to plenty of pubs and restaurants. I would definitely recommend this accommodation. Only thing I would say that could be improved is the size of the TV other than that cannot fault anything.
Lesley
The house was lovely and being so close to the town centre made it ideal for our plans. The living areas and the kitchen were perfect for the 2 of us. I think it would feel very crowded if there were 6 people staying there. The bathroom was great and the shower lovely although it did drain very slowly. We were there in a heatwave and it was really unfortunate that there was no outside area to enjoy the sun. This forced us to spend more time out without a break which was quite tiring. The hot tub was very relaxing in the evening. It was easy to find parking within a couple of minutes walk. Two very minor points we found it odd that there was no frying pan and the front doorbell didnt work. We found that out when my wife took the dog for a walk. We would certainly visit again.

The location of the house was great for walking to the harbour and the beach. The house had everything we needed and had a lovely welcome basket. Wed highly recommend staying here!
The hot tub was fantastic! Welcome pack was amazing also thank you. Loved that the property was so close to the town, harbour and beach. The lack of parking outside wasn't an issue at all as there was lots within a 2 minute wall. A few minor niggles The bathroom door had no lock which wasn't ideal. The pillows were way too soft on all beds and the duvets were too hot for summer. Communication with the property agents was brilliant. Overall we had a fantastic stay.
Thankyou very much we had a fabulous weekend at North Harbour House. We couldnt fault it at all. Perfectly clear precise instructions from parking to hot tub etc. A welcome basket of goodies and milk in fridge was a lovely gesture. We would definitely like to book this property again for longer in the future. We will definitely recommend it to our family and friends.
