About Stargazer Copse Gate

Tucked away along a quiet lane, this charming hut sits in an elevated spot with stunning views of the surrounding rolling hills and pastureland. In this location, you ll have plenty of choice when it comes to walking routes, with Golden Cap, Colmers Hill and the South West Coast Path all within easy reach.

Many of the region s best loved attractions are close at hand, including the pretty streets of Lyme Regis, Symondsbury village, Charmouth beach, which is a great spot for fossil hunting, Morcombelake with its popular farm shop, the eclectic town of Bridport, home to twice weekly markets and ever popular West Bay all within 5 miles. Adjacent to the owners home, yet with privacy assured, stepping stones lead to the covered entrance into this purpose built shepherd's hut, which is positioned to make the most of the amazing views.

Once inside you are met with a surprisingly spacious studio area, with the kitchen to your left and room to dine to your right. A wood burner keeps the space cosy whatever the season and you can enjoy watching your favourite shows on the TV whilst you snuggle up in the double bed.

A door at the rear leads into the contemporary shower room with WC. To the front of the hut is a generous raised deck with furniture.

From here you can see for miles and if you re lucky you ll catch a glimpse of the sea on a clear day. Enjoy a sundowner or your morning coffee before sinking into the private hot tub, which is tucked beside the hut and surrounded by an area of lawn, enclosed by hedging.

Amazing property with lots of storage and roomy inside. Worth a visit for the gorgeous views and fantastic breakfast alone. Hosts are warm and welcoming while the Shepherd's hut boasts privacy and comfort. Hot tub is great and property is well set up including outdoor seating and lighting. Would definitely recommend and we will return. We even were able to bring home some fantastic farm produce to enjoy.

Beautiful shepherds hut set in a very scenic place. Beautifully clean and had everything we needed. Sitting in the hot tub with beautiful scenery all round was perfect. The owners are a very hospitable and helpful couple and the highlight was sitting at the farmhouse table eating a smashing breakfast and chatting with them. Would totally recommend to all friends and family.

Very relaxing stay. Everything we expected it to be and much more. Charlie and Lucy were very welcoming and friendly. Nothing was to much trouble. The complementary breakfast was absolutely delicious and filling, it kept hunger at bay until late In the day.

Amazing place to stay, the shepherd's hut was amazing, grounds around are kept very clean. Charlie and Lucy the owners are absolutely lovely. Complimentary breakfast cooked every morning which was delicious. Couldn't fault this place one bit. Have already recommend to many people. We also bought some meat as the food was amazing! My partner even g ot to feed the sheep!

Stargazer is a perfect slice of West Country Heaven!! Off the well beaten track with fabulous views of the surrounding countryside, fully private (other than the sheep!), sturdily, but beautifully built, & tastefully furnished, including everything for a relaxing & peaceful stay (sole use of the hot-tub, helped!!). Farmhouse cooked breakfast includ ed, each day, supplied & prepared by your wonderful hosts (Charlie & Lucy) who obviously love what they do. Nothing could have been better, for us!

Wonderful. We had the perfect trip. The hut is incredible everything you need comfortable and spacious, with picturesque views from the balcony. Absolutely beautiful location. I thought it would be a scam because I've never been on this website before but the experience me and partner had was phenomenal. If you enjoy being on a farm with farm animals, long walks and a 20 minute drive to the beach then I would recommend going!

An incredible property, so clean and tidy. The owners are so friendly and such incredible hosts. They seem to have spotted all the little bits you might want and covered it. Will definitely be going back and highly recommend this to all. Full farmhouse English breakfast again cooked by the owners so attentive to guests even though they are both wor king farmers and it was a busy time even joined us for breakfast on our last morning such lovely people. Cant wait for the next time.

The location is amazing with great views across the farm and the hot tub was lovely to relax in after a long hike. The hosts were excellent, helpful and friendly. They helped with anything we needed and the breakfast they cooked was brilliant. Located on a lovely farm with a hot tub for stargazing, it is 15 minutes from Bridport and Lyme Regis making exploring easy and quick with some really nice restaurant options. There are also great facilities in the hut fo r cooking your own food. We had an amazing time and would highly recommend to anybody looking for a comfortable stay in Dorset.

Indoor fun is plentiful too with the Adventure Zone, the Magical Kingdom and Dina's Lost World.

Monkey World is not only a local attraction but the work they carry out is amazing. Rescuing and rehabilitating monkeys and assisting governments around the world to stop the smuggling of primates are just some of the purposes of the centre. You get to see the primates themselves many of which have become famous from appearing on the TV show Monkey World - a documentary about this place. Open year round we think this is one of best attractions in Dorset and you even get the chance to adopt a monkey if you choose.
