The Lodge Avon Reviews

Emma
Honestly, we had a fantastic stay here! The host, Sally, was incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. She even left us some lovely personal touches like a bottle of fizz and fresh scones, which was a nice surprise. The cabin was spotless, really well-equippedand super comfy. The location was perfect, just a short walk to fields where our dogs loved running around. If you're after a relaxing getaway with your pets and want someone who genuinely cares about your experience, this place is a gem!
Laura
Great spot, had everything we needed but a bit too dim.
Samira
We had an amazing two-week stay at the coach house lodge with our two dogs. Honestly, we didn’t want to leave! The grounds are stunningand the lodge itself is super well-equipped - we lacked nothing. The layout was really practicaland the boot room had everything from fans to picnic backpacks, which was so handy. The location is perfect for exploring Dorset - Hengistbury Head is a must-visit. The owners are lovely, making the stay even better. We’ll definitely be coming back, it was just perfect!
Emma
We really appreciated the little thoughtful details the owners added, making the place quite charming. It’s very modern and has everything you could need for a comfy stay. That said, it’s a bit smaller than the photos suggest, especially the bedroom which lacked proper wardrobes-just some quirky hangers on a branch. The garden’s tiny and doesn’t get sun after 3pmand the hottub’s open to the trees, so leaves fall in, making it feel a bit less clean. Still, we enjoyed our stay overall!
Emma
We had a fantastic time with our puppy! The lodge was absolutely gorgeous and so well thought out - the owners really paid attention to the little details. It’s perfect for relaxing and making some lovely memories. Highly recommend!
Emma
We had a lovely stay at The Lodge in the New Forest. It’s a cosy little place, perfect for a peaceful break. The decor and facilities are really nice, making it feel special. The compact size didn’t bother us at all - the outdoor space and veranda were just right for relaxing with a drink or enjoying the fire. The hot tub under the stars was definitely the highlight! Plus, the location was spot on for exploring the area’s beautiful spots. We’d happily recommend it!
Emma
We really enjoyed our stay here! The place is lovely, fully enclosed, so perfect for our dogs. Great location with local walks and pubs nearby. Had a fantastic time, would definitely recommend it to others!
Emma
The place is pretty cosy, but the best bit is definitely the location. We loved how close it was to all the attractions in the New Forest and surrounding spots. Coming back after a busy day to a hot tub was such a treat, especially with our tired little dog snoozing away. Local pubs nearby made evenings easyand the helpful info about the area was a real bonus. Would happily come back!
Emma
This place is lovely! The location can't be beatand everything inside was spotless and well-stocked. The private garden was perfect for relaxingand we really enjoyed the bath and hot tub. Highly recommended!
Emma Clarke
Really loved the cosy feel, everything was spot on and super comfy throughout!
Emma Collins
Really enjoyed the lodge, especially the hot tub and the great walking nearby. Lovely stay!
Emma
The Lodge really lived up to the description-peaceful, beautiful surroundings right on the edge of the New Forest, with quick access to the coast. We loved the lovely walks to nearby pubsand it’s great how dog friendly everything was. The little touches made it feel more like a hotel stay, with everything we needed thoughtfully provided. We’re already planning our next visit-can’t wait to return!
Emily
We had such a lovely stay at The Lodge! It’s a charming and cosy spot, perfectly located for exploring the New Forest and nearby Christchurch. The owners really put a lot of effort into making the place special and private. We especially enjoyed unwinding in the hot tub and the bedroom bath after a day out. It’s clear they’ve thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. Thanks for a truly wonderful experience, we’d definitely come back!
James
We had such a lovely stay at this charming one-bedroom cottage. It had everything we neededand the nearby walks and beaches were perfect for relaxing days out. Plenty of great eateries around too. The owners were super friendly and easy to chat with. We’re already planning our next visit, can’t wait!
Emma
Overall, we enjoyed our stay, especially the secure garden which was perfect for our dog. The walk-in shower and roll-top bath were lovelyand we appreciated the jacuzzi and the little treats like Prosecco and scones. A few downsides: there was no hot water at first, but the owners sorted it quickly once we mentioned it. The lights above the bath and jacuzzi didn’t workand the quilt had stains that should have been cleaned or replaced before our visit. Traffic noise from the busy B3347 was quite noticeableand for what we paid, we expected a bit more comfort. Still, it was an okay getaway!
Lisa
What a lovely stay! The lodge was cosy and felt super secure and private. We adored the flowers, cakeand Prosecco when we arrived. The bathroom bath was gorgeous. Plus, it’s perfect for dogs with the boot room, showerand towels. Definitely coming back soon!
Emma
We had such a lovely time at this cosy little place! The design is charmingand everything we needed was there - even the fairy lights in the bathtub made it special. The kitchen was small but perfectly functional for our needsand our host was really friendly and helpful. Our dogs felt totally welcome, with treats and the dog shower in the bootroom. The outdoor seating area was great, especially with the shelter. All in all, a really nice escape!
Emma
We had a lovely time at this lodge! The cabin was well-equipped, with charming decor and thoughtful touches. The hot-tub and garden were perfect for relaxing. Location was greatand we genuinely enjoyed the weekend. Definitely planning to return soon. Thanks so much!
Emma
We had a really nice break with the dog. The garden’s quite small, like others mentioned, but since we were out most of the time walking, it wasn’t a problem. The best part was how secure it was, so no worries if your dog tends to escape! The hot tub was really relaxingand the bed was super comfy. Plus, the prosecco was a nice touch. Thanks a lot!
Oliver
We had a great 4-night stay at the lodge! It’s tucked away at the back of the owners’ garden, surrounded by trees, so super private with its own fenced area. We loved having access to the front garden for dog walks. The place is newly built, really well finishedand spotlessly clean. The hot tub was a real treat-perfect even in the freezing weather with high winds. No dishwasher, but honestly, it’s a cosy wooden lodge, so no big deal. Overall, a lovely little getaway!
