Wild Acre Reviews

Katharine
This was the perfect getaway for a relaxing and peaceful weekend. A beautiful, clean and cosy lodge. Great to sit on the veranda and watch the wildlife squirrels and red kites. Followed by a relax in the hot tub and gaze at the stars. Thank you, will definitely be back x
Joanne
This was one of the best weeks of our lives so needed a quiet cosy retreat! Beautiful scenery, amazing facilities, having the hot tub was the best! The dark starry skies from a hot tub was amazing, time just evaporated. Lovely friendly owners and very cosy accommodation. Would definitely go again in fact we'd happily live there, if that would be alright!!
The cosiest cabin in the most stunning location. If peace and tranquility is what you're after then you must book to stay here. You truly are in the middle of nowhere with the closest shop around half an hour away. The host Brian was so friendly and attentive and after welcoming us on our first day, left us to enjoy our surroundings. We thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful local hikeswalks that kept us busy throughout the week, followed each day by a long soak in the hot tub which was a real treat. This property has EVERYTHING you could think of needing. The owners really have thought of every, single little detail. We had the most fantastic week and feel so grateful to have found this hidden treasure. Thank you for the most wonderful stay!
Caitlin
Super stay. Very friendly owners that were there when we needed them. Lovely, peaceful retreat and loved watching the cows. Lots of great local spots to go on walking adventures with the dog.
Amanda
A stunning location with friendly hosts! Can be a little challenging with the size of accommodation but nothing that cant be overcome and the location more than makes up for it!

Beautiful location , clean facilities definatly go again.
What a fabulous stay, a beautiful stunning drive in across the common onto a working farm, but hidden away in its own stunning location. Could not have asked for more. Brian was very friendly and made sure we had everything, even checked in on us after a couple of days. Offered areas to explore. Would definitely recommend, quite and remote just what we wanted. Perfect Alan & Kathy
Fantastic location, very peaceful. Hot tub lovely was great for my arthritis. Lovely owners quick to sort any requests. Not a criticism but maybe in description wise to note that the bathroom is very small and that for a larger sized person it is a very tight entrance door as not a standard door, cannot tell by the pictures. I may be the only obese person that has gone there but you never know for the future. Myself, husband and dog will be back. Does it snow in October? Is it accessible to get there if so?
Was amazing

Lovely place and beautiful surroundings. Great hosts, very welcoming but we were left to our own devices
A beautiful secluded holiday home with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The scenery through the beacons is breath taking, and the same goes for the working farm you arrive at. The owners met us on arrival with some extra towels and bits then left us too our own devices. They offered us the opportunity to go and feed the lambs which I thought was lovely as you can see they are always so busy but we didn't want to intrude on this stay. Maybe next time, as we will book this place again! The holiday home is perfectly sized for a few days weeks stay but I will state to make sure that you take everything you'll think you'll need as the shop is not just round the corner to us this was part the fun... though forgetting the milk didn't go down well! If you want romance, peace and beautiful scenery then this place is a must.
It was a lovely place to stay had everything we needed! Would definitely go again! Everything was so comfortable and it felt like a mini home!
Brittany
It really was the most perfect getaway for us, Wild Acre is in the middle of no where with lots of cute sheep. The owner checked on us on first night. The hot tub was amazing especially after long days of walking and visiting the nearby towns. It was perfecr for the two of us. The whole booking process was easy. We will 100 be back!
Rachel

We stayed at the wild acre for 3 nights after our wedding, as wanted somewhere where we could just relax after the chaos and this was perfect, it was quiet, surrounded by beautiful views and nature, the hot tub was amazing, we had everything we needed for the perfect stay, the facilities were great, everything you needed was there, we cannot recommend this place highly enough if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle and relax and unwind, we will definitely be back

This was everything we had hoped for. Everyone was very welcoming. Very peaceful with brilliant views. I love that it was out of the way and basically on its own, as you don't feel overlooked when using the hot tub. Well worth the drive we had and we hope to go back.
Mohammad
I would recommend this place if you want completely remote time, best for couples. Make sure take enough supplies with you, no shops nearby. Beautiful setup, if the weather is nice you will definitely enjoy the views. Hot tub was a good fun. I hope to comeback at some point again.
