Coeden Bach Reviews

Cosy base from which to explore the surrounding area. All modern conveniences at a reasonable price.
A very comfortable and well equipped property. Only a short walk to the town, harbour and beaches. As dog owners the property is ideal with an enclosed garden which was well maintained. There is also a hot tub for added enjoyment. Highly recommended.
Bridget
We arrived to a lovely welcome hamper, the cottage was as described, clean and comfortable. The hot tub was an added bonus and was maintained by the owners without us even noticing, we really enjoyed our stay at Coeden Bach
Had a wonderful week at this beautiful holiday home. The views were amazing, definitely going to miss opening the kitchen doors to that view every morning! The beds were so comfortable, we all slept really well. The welcome pack was a lovely thought and the owners were very helpful in answering any questions we had. The hot tub was just perfect for chilling out at the end of the day. We are hoping to come back again next year! Thank you for a lovely holiday!
A lovely comfortable house in a great location for visiting Carmarthenshire and its surrounding areas, such as Pembrokeshire and the Gower. As well as the house being very comfortable, the garden is lovely to sit in and is very dog friendly and secure. Burry Port has a lovely harbour and beach within easy walking distance, and the town has everything needed for a self catering holiday. The welcome pack was very much appreciated. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you.
Nicola
Lovely property, very clean, comfy beds, equipped with everything you could need and a lovely welcome pack. Nice garden, walking distance to the harbour and shops. It is also very quiet. The only downside for us is we booked because of the downstairs bedroom for my elderly mother but unfortunately she still had to go up steep stairs for the bathroom so suggest not booking if someone has accessibility issues. We would book again if in the area.
We had a fab week here once we got over the stress of getting our 2 cars parked it was tight and not much room to swing in or reverse in or out bear this in mind if your cars are estates, SUV or people carrier or bigger than a Focus! !! The only other minor issues were no wardrobe hanging space other than in the ensuite bedroom, and we had a few dead flies drop down from the skylight windows in the kitchen. Overall the house was great, garden appreciated by the dog, hot tub used every day, and a great base to explore the area with the most gorgeous beaches and great places to eat!!
Michelle
We are 4 adults & 2 small dogs who had the most relaxing and lovely 3 day break. Everything in the cottage was perfect & the hot tub was a great way to finish each day after a long walk. The beds were comfy & everything was provided for in the kitchen. The cottage is in a great position for exploring the area & we couldn't fault anything. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend & hope to call back one day soon.
Annette
Beautiful house in an excellent location. Everything you could want was in close proximity cafes, pub, shops, restaurants and the beach which was immaculate. Bed was comfortable. The owners had thought about everything you need to make the perfect holiday. Secure garden that the dogs loved. The hot tub was great after a long day.
We had a wonderful return stay over the Easter weekend. The house was cosy and well kept, and although the weather was mixed, we managed to get out for a beach walk each day. The beds are really comfortable and the hot tub was a particular highlight to ease tired bones after long walks! Thanks once again to Matt and Dawn for the use of their beautiful place.
Our fourth time of staying to have an early Christmas with our grandchildren. Cottage is superb and beautifully furnished. Matt and Dawn are always on hand to solve any problems.
Robert
This was our 2nd visit with our dog, but our 1st visit as a family of 4! Came for our little boys 1st birthday and it was just made so stress free high chair , baby gates and cot bed all provided. Hosts were lovely kind people who made us feel very welcome and helped us set up the cot bed. Hot tub very clean, checked in the early mornings but you wouldn't know because they do it do quietly as to disturb you. A couple of board games are provided in the living room and there is a fire grate in the downstairs bedroom to keep little fingers away from a nice hot fire on a cold night. Basics of tea, coffee, milk, dish washer tabs provided on arrival but if you need anything or you intend on self catering, Coop is a 2 minute walk away, or there's a large ASDA 15minutes away. For eateries we tried the local coffee shop which did some delicious sandwiches... also try the local bakery. All in all I love this house and I can't wait to return. Fiona, Rob, Owen and Tyson
Caroline
Lovely property with the benefit of a wonderful hot tub and enclosed very nice garden. Constructive criticism would be that the extraction fans in the bathrooms are very loud and stay on for an excessive period which does impact on sleep. Upgrade of the pillows on bed main bedroom would add comfort as currently not very comfortable. Otherwise a lovely property offering all required.
Just a really lovely little holiday cottage, perfect for a family or even 2 couples. We stayed with our two children both under 4 and our dog. The owners provided a high chair, stair gate and travel cot which saved us vital packing space in the car and there was a lovely welcome pack on arrival, including coffee and tea but also a bottle of bubbly and some dog treats which the dog greatly appreciated!! The owners live locally and checked the hot tub from time to time, but we never actually saw them, they were very respectful of our space. Lots of little touches that make the space more welcoming extra towels for the hot tub, blankets for snuggling up outside, wood for the fire, little ornaments and books that make it feel more like a home. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again.
Lilian
The cottage was lovely, everything we needed was provided, clean and comfortable and the hot tub was a really nice touch after a long day, it's well placed for the beach and pembury park and dog friendly as well, local shops and bars are just a short walk away and a really comfortable bed was very welcoming after a long day, the owner stayed in the background but was there if we needed him which was nice, allowed us to get on with our very enjoyable holiday, would definitely recommend a stay here.
Love this house. Its perfect for a break to see our son and his family who live only 15 minutes away. Back again just before Christmas.
Sharon
We cannot express just how fabulous this holiday cottage is. We absolutely love it and because of that we have just spent our third consecutive year there for a fortnight this time and invited other family members too. It is truly home from home. The owners cannot do enough to support you to have a relaxed, comfortable and enjoyable stay. The cottage is always clean and tidy, the beds are wonderful for great sleep, the hot tub is a real bonus and the garden has proved excellent for our grandchildren and our dogs. Top, top marks for this brilliant place, which is really close to all the local amenities too. We love it!
Lovely property and garden, hot tub too. Easy walk to beach and local shops. Could do with larger bath towels.
Lorraine
Lovely holiday home, garden was very secure and generous for our two Lab cross dogs. View from the garden is stunning, and the hot tub is a bonus. Beds are all comfy. TV has basic channels but the WiFi is very good, we used iPads & laptops for filmssport, etc with no buffering. Our eldest was staying with us & came from Cardiff on the train, easy commute to Bury Port station. Loads of dog walking paths in the area. The beach is clean and beautiful. We didnt use the games room, but got the sun brolly from there, it could do with some ventilation. Thanks for a relaxing week.
Excellent accommodation, hot tub was a bonus and we all thoroughly enjoyed our holiday.
Lovely cottage but was very very cold inside on arrival soon warmed up with use of the log burner. Granddaughter loved the hot tub! Looking forward to August for our second visit.
Anthony
Thank you for a very enjoyable stay at your cottage, it was great to be able to meet family and have our late Christmas get together! We all appreciated the facilities at the cottage with my granddaughter loving the Hot Tub. The welcome pack was such a nice surprise...thanks
Denise
Location was two minutes from pub ,takeaways local amenities etc 5 minute walk from beautiful beach, Accommodation lovely , and we were left a welcome basket with milk , tea coffee and other goodies We had a problem with the telly which we reported someone turned up within 5 minutes and it was resolved. House clean and as described lovely There is a small games room with a dart board which my son loved. Really enjoyed it and would fully recommend
Stephen
Excellent house, comfortable, well maintained, has absolutely everything you need. Perfect location for exploring the South Wales area and the town is a 5 minute stroll away with some great restaurants and cafes. The beach is a 5 minute drive or 10 minute walk and make sure you visit the Crazy Crepes next to the beach car park! Hot tub was brilliant for soothing the aching muscles after some very long walks. We had one very and I mean very, minor issue with the Wifi but the owner appeared in less that 5 minutes and sorted it out which was excellent service.
The cottage was absolutely beautiful the owners have carefully thought of everything that you might possibly need. The welcome pack, including treats for the dogs, was a lovely touch. Matt and Dawn were fabulous hosts any questions or queries were followed up promptly. We loved it that much weve rebooked for Easter 2024!
Christine
One of the best properties we have stayed in. We couldnt recommend enough. The cottage is tasteful and sensitively restored , comfortable and has a well stocked modern kitchen. Dog friendly, with a closed of garden which saved a lot of escape worry. Welcome pack a lovely touch. Hot tub great. Although the owners are next door they dont intrude. Thanks .
Nicola
This was our second time here and have now booked again for next year. Superbly located. Comfortable and all the facilities needed. Ideal for my 2 dogs too with the secure garden. We gad a wonderful week. Thank you!
Absolutely brilliant accommodation
Thank you very much for our stay, we loved our time spent in the home and we would recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere to stay!
Heather
I don't know where to start! Both Burry port and this cottage were amazing. Me and my family are Avid campers and what a change it made to be somewhere so wonderful with so many added extras. The cottage was beautiful both inside and out, everything you could think of was there! The hot tub and garden were an added bonus which were looking after by the owners and kept super clean. Our dogs were able to be in the garden and still be with us when going in the hot tub too. Burry port is a hidden treasure the secluded beach and shops were so accesable and only a short walk away. I would recommend this cottage to anyone looking to get some time away. Tenby and Saunders foot are a short drive away also! We can't wait to come back next year!
We had a very enjoyable stay. We had everything we needed and it was great having the owners next door to help if needed.
Sharon
Another wonderful stay in this fabulous holiday home. This is our second visit to Coeden Bach we love it so much it's location and convenience to local facilities of town and beach, it's dog friendliness and peacefulness. Matt and Dawn, as ever, were immediately helpful if we needed them and their generosity in providing a lovely welcome pack, including for our dogs, is a delightful treat to arrive to. The cottage itself is always spotlessly clean and has everything you need for a great and enjoyable stay and the hot tub is a real bonus. This has been such a fantastically comfortable stay it's become a 'home from home' for us and we're booking it for two weeks in 2023.
We love it here, it was our 2nd visit and plan on returning. Matt and Dawn make us feel completely welcome and are there if needed. The house is perfect with everything you can want or need. The house is spotlessly clean, and the hot tub is cared for most days. The location makes it easy for us to nip into the village or enjoy a stroll on the beach. We highly recommend Coeden Bach and are looking forward to visiting again. Matt & Lisa
The house was lovely and owners very kind leaving milk, Prosecco, cakes and tea & coffee . Thanks so much Jill, Grace& Connie
Rachel
Me and my partner came up with our dog willow for my 30th birthday as I have family up there and burry port itself means a lot to us also as its where my partner proposed to me. From start to finish Coeden Bach was very kind to us it is so cozy and felt like home it was very clean and anything you needed was there ! Thank you so much definitley recommend
Daniel
Lovely stay, the property had everything you needed, spotlessly clean and was home away from home! Cosy Lounge with a log fire & plenty of blankets to add to the cosy feel, the decor throughout the house adds so much character to it! We loved it. Bedrooms are cosy & beds very comfortable. Excellent garden space however we didnt use it due to the rain but could image in the warmer months it would be lovely to use. The owners are so accommodating & such lovely people, we was welcomed with a bottle of milk in fridge, bits for a cup of tea, chocolate and a cold bottle of Prosecco much needed after a car journey. Hot tub was a hit with our 8 year old! No matter the weather she went in every night it was so warm & lovely to look up at the stars & relax. The hot tubs in a very private part of the outside great space for one. We are a family of 5, 2 little girls aged 1 & 8 with a furbaby too our frenchie. The propertys location is great, a local park just a 2 min walk for the children and a lovely big sport field to walk the dog around. Shops are a 5 min walk, with a local bakery and an amazing cafe called Caffi Lolfa! So worth a visit but best to book before going. Lighthouse & beach is around a 1014min walk and the beaches are amazing! Lovely views our stay was in feb so didnt spend too much time on beach. Overall we will definitely be back, hopefully with better weather this time. A massive thank you to the owners for our stay in their lovely house.
Perfect Christmas getaway for our family and dogs, we couldn't ask for anything more. Cottage was cosy and relaxing with the added bonus of fire and hot tub and a good size enclosed garden. Kitchen has everything you need, even a coffee machine for coffee lovers! Bedrooms felt light and airy so brilliant for good night sleep. Kids loved the bathrooms! Cottage was very clean and arrived to welcome gift of Welsh cakes. Above all, fantastic attentive and friendly owners.
Stayed here for a weekend at the end of November. It was the weekend of Storm Arwen so we tested the heating system to it's limits the wood burner was well used and gave us enough warmth! Easy checkin on arrival and the directions received worked perfectly. The premises are very welldesigned making the most of all space available. Weather meant that using the patio and the outside barbecue wasn't an option but it looked nice although the weather didn't stop us using the hot tub. Inside, a very wellequipped kitchen and the thoughtfulness of leaving a couple of welcome gifts was much appreciated as well. The hosts were great, living nearby but we only saw them when we asked for them on a small problem which was quickly fixed. The main bedroom was the most comfortable bed I have slept in away from home, possibly ever and both bathrooms were very clean and wellfurnished. Close to the main centre of the town and the beach was only about 10 minutes walk away, a very pleasant weekend.
