Cardigan Bay House Reviews

Helen
We really enjoyed our stay at Cardigan Bay House! The place was cosy and well-stocked for our group of 11, which was perfect. Staying over Christmas was lovely, especially since they kindly provided a tree after we asked. The owner was quick to respond when we had questions. The location is fantastic - close to the coastal path, a puband a supermarket. We’d definitely come back here again!
Emma
Honestly, the best part about the place was the incredible location and those stunning views. We really loved that! Sadly, the house itself didn’t quite match up to what we’re used to-some showers were out of order because of broken doors, which was a bit of a pain. There was dust and cobwebs everywhereand downstairs had a really unpleasant smell. Had to buy an air freshener just to make it bearable. Also, no cupboard space for foodand the rusty BBQ was a let-down. We had to buy matches to light the hob since the automatic ignition wasn’t working. Still, the location was worth it!
Emily
The house was just right for us, with stunning views and plenty of charming spots nearby. We loved the location and will definitely come back!
James
We loved the big space for tenand the location was perfect with stunning sunsets on sunny days. A bit of paint touch-up and maintenance would help, but overall, a very enjoyable week. The owner was really helpful too.
James
Stunning sunsets and a really good spot!
Oliver
We really enjoyed our stay, but honestly, the property didn’t quite live up to expectations considering we paid over £2,000 for just three nights. Such a shame.
Emma
Nice place, good vibes
Emma
We had a great time! The place was cosy, spaciousand perfect for our big family. Thanks!
Amelia
We had such a lovely stay! The house was spacious and perfect for our family of 12. The on-suites were a real bonus, making everything so easy. The views from the front were absolutely stunningand we loved exploring nearby spots like New Quay and Aberaeron. Honestly, we all had a fantastic week and would definitely come back to this charming place!
Jenny
Stunning views, but not much else to make us want to come back. The place really needs a complete refurb. Nearly everything feels tired! The kitchen and bathroom en suites could use a thorough clean or new fixtures. Some beds definitely need new mattresses. The outside patio and furniture are in dire need of proper maintenance. The hot tub wasn't serviced as it should have been; just adding excess chlorine tablets isn't enough. We were so disappointed that we left after 5 days, even with lovely weather!
Marcus
We really enjoyed our stay at this comfortable and stylish period holiday home. It's generally furnished to a high standard, which made our experience even better! The attention to detail was lovelyand we felt right at home. Perfect for a relaxing getaway.
Ellie
What a lovely spot for walkers and beach lovers, especially with Newquay just a stone’s throw away! The mirror opposite the entrance was super handy and really needed to see traffic coming down the hill. Most of the bedrooms were a good size, but the bunk bed room was really only fit for small kids.
Emily
Fantastic location with stunning views! The inside of the property really needs some tender loving care to get it up to standard. It wasn't the best equipped, just one mug but there were cups and a lack of tumblers, plus no wooden spoons or sharp knives. The WiFi was quite terribleand we had to sort out who was using it. We ended up cleaning the main lounge before using it as it was pretty dusty. The bathrooms and bedrooms were very clean though. The hot tub only worked properly on the first night, so we didn’t get to use it much. It definitely has great potential.
Emma
What a fantastic place! It was the perfect base for us while we explored the Ceredigion coast. The rooms were really comfortableand having en-suites for each room was such a bonus!
Emily
Absolutely adored this property and where it’s situated. The views are stunning and the rooms are really comfortable. We had a great time as a family!
James
We had a fantastic time at Cardigan Bay House and would definitely recommend it! We were a family of 11, with five kids and six adultsand there was plenty of space for everyone. Visiting Newquay and Aberaeron was brilliantand the kids absolutely loved the Moody Cow restaurant and the Moody Calf soft play. Such a great location!
Louise Green
There's loads of space and the location is really lovely! However, the busy road can be a bit of a botherand the lighting system, both inside and out, is super sensitive. It might set our dogs off during the night sometimes.
Lucy
The property really needs some updating. We know the current owners have only just taken over, but an update is quite urgent. We did have a lovely time though!
Lucy
We had such a lovely time at this property in a stunning location! As a group of seven women who love our walking trips twice a year, it can be tricky to find somewhere with enough bedrooms and separate beds. Yours was perfect for us. The hot tub was exactly what we needed to unwind after a long day out. The bedrooms were really comfortableand the kitchen was spacious enough for all of us. The lounge areas were also a great size for our evenings together.
Lucy
Everything was superb and set in a stunning location. The views were breathtaking. The food and wine hamper waiting for us when we arrived was such a lovely surprise!

When the weather is nice this attraction is perfect as you can wander around and admire the superb range of exotic trees and shrubs.  They look different at different times of the year but one of the most popular times to see them is in Autumn.  With various events throughout the year such as Apple Weekend there is always something new to experience.  You can watch a 90 second film about this attraction on their website which is excellent.
