Walney Reviews

Emma Roberts
We recently stayed at this lovely seaside cottage in Aberaeron and honestly, it was perfect for our weekend getaway. The location is spot-on - close enough to walk to all the restaurants and shops, which made everything so easy. Parking right outside was a big plus. Inside, the space felt cosy but still bright and clean. The hot tub was a real treat after exploring or just relaxing by the fire. We’d definitely return - it’s a little gem!

We found the cottage to be a fantastic base for exploring the coast. Aberaeron is such a charming town, with plenty of lovely cafes and pubs nearby. Watching the people from the benches overlooking the sea was a relaxing little pastime, even if there wasn’t much nautical activity. Also, having parking right outside was a real bonus, especially for anyone with a disabled badge like us. The location really couldn’t be better. We’d definitely recommend it for a peaceful getawayand we’ll be coming back!

Honestly, this was our first stay in a cottage that wasn’t part of a National Trust placeand we were really impressed. The place was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed, from comfy furnishings to high-quality bathrooms. We were a bit worried about the location, but it turned out to be perfect-quiet, close to the beach and town. Having a parking spot right outside was a bonus. We definitely recommend it and plan to come back soon!

When the weather is nice this attraction is perfect as you can wander around and admire the superb range of exotic trees and shrubs.  They look different at different times of the year but one of the most popular times to see them is in Autumn.  With various events throughout the year such as Apple Weekend there is always something new to experience.  You can watch a 90 second film about this attraction on their website which is excellent.
