Briallen Reviews

Amazing getaway! Beautiful scenery and great facilities. Only negative is that the lower feed for the hot tub was blocked so despite two attempts we couldnt get the hot tub warm.
Zandra
I booked this for my husbands birthday as a gift and to say he completely loved it is an understatement, we were also able to take our dog with us and I can guarantee he enjoyed himself too and as for myself I don't usually do back to nature but I can honestly say I did not want to leave. The most beautiful place we have ever stayed so relaxing and quiet and the hot tub oh wow 5 star
The pod was as described. We was staying a week so storage was awkward but we survived. Hob was a challenge but instructions to hand and sorted. Hot tub was amazing. We have a springer who loved the freedom of the secure garden. Will defo be back. Thank you Clare.
What an amazing! !! Get away! Well set up, everything is ready set up to go.. and amazing location for relaxing
A peaceful secluded location, yet easy access to main road. We were able to easily continue our coastal walking of Wales between Harlech and Aberdovey and use this as a central base. We thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors hot tub and the whole ambience of this idyllic hideaway.
Nicola
Exceptional location, being remote but with all of the creature comforts. Nestled in farmland with the surrounding mountains as your vista. Yet still not far from amenities. Couldnt have been more perfect.
Christine
Good location. Clean and tidy property. Really enjoyed our stay.
Felicity Mae
Great property with privacy and beautiful views. Dogs and myself and partner had a wonderful relaxing time. Plenty of logs for fit pit and hot tub, close to local amenities and activities! Would 100 recommend if you are in need of a relaxing, serene, and peaceful place to unwind
Andrea
This lodge is absolutely amazing, we had such a relaxing time and fell in love with the area. The farm cat, Mrs Lloyd, became my best friend for the few days we were there and she was a real highlight. The owners were lovely and available when needed, but they let us be ourselves and made sure you have your privacy. The hot tub takes a while to heat up, so bear that in mind, but I loved using the firepit every night. Sitting out with the fire going at night surrounded by the sheep and horses was honestly so incredible. One thing to note, the roads on the way to the area could be super narrow and winding just for anyone who isn't comfortable with country roads as this is something we wish we knew so we could decide who was driving there. But honestly, the trip was incredible. We had such a relaxing time. Thank you so much to the owners for letting us stay
Cameron
Stayed at the Briallen lodge for 3 nights, was so pleased with our stay, the surroundings and location were just amazing, all the wildlife and being up in the mountainshills, the facilities and lodge itself was stunning too, so clean and well kept and supplied with little extra bits that made it even more enjoyable, would definelty come back!
Joanne
Beautiful setting for this pod. Was private and secluded with beautiful views. Was lovely having sheep in the field next to us and 4 ponies below us. The POD is wellequipped, comfortable, and warm. The hot tub was outstanding. The only small little suggestion that I have is a small curtain over the window above the bed. Only because at this time of the year when the sun rises early it does wake you. Barmouth is close and a beautiful place to visit. Even though you are out of the way it has easy access to busier places and towns. Brilliant 2 nights and we will be looking to possible book a house close by so that we can take the children and the dogs.
Ashley
Lovely place to stay in. Very clean and the owners very helpful. Would defiantly stay again. Hot tub was lovely especially after my walk up snowdon.
Absolutely gorgeous property. It had everything you needed and was just as the pictures promised. The bluetooth speakers and welcome goodies were a nice touch. The couple couple easily have squeezed in lots of pods but the fact that there are only two with lots of personal space and land is really special. The property information booklet could of had a couple of suggestions for local things to doeateriers days out etc but we found lots to do in a lovely area. T
Thank you for such a gorgeous stay in Briallen Lodge, my fianc and I and our dog Ted really enjoyed our stay, the lodge was so clean and tidy and the area is so peaceful for a relaxing stay. We made the most of the lovely wood fired hot tub, we cannot fault anything during our visit and we were also pleased to meet Mrs Lloyd. We look forward to booking again in the future.
Kenneth
I was extremely pleased with the pod it was presented very clean & tidy, well decorated with all necessary appliances and utensils it was also very dog friendly with a well fenced off garden. Would certainly recommend as pod was great as was the surrounding views from pod.
Delightful little place in a beautiful landscape
Lovely and private little cabin, very clean and nicely decorated. WIFI and facilities were excellent. We had a lovely time while we were here and the hot tub was a huge bonus for us. However if you are wanting to use the hot tub I would recommend getting your own logs as there isnt enough to keep it going especially if you havent used a log burner before. Also it would be handy for more information on how to operate the hot tub in the booklet. Mrs Lloyd the farm cat was lovely and she always made an appearance which was welcome by us! However be careful leaving the window open at night as she came in at the middle of the night
We had a lovely stay at Briallen and cannot wait to return! The location was absolutely beautiful and we could not fault the cabin. It was so clean and well maintained with lovely little touches like Prosecco and biscuits upon arrival! We felt really comfortable and at home during our stay and we had lots of visits from Mrs Lloyd the cat who was so friendly! Cannot fault Briallen and were already looking to book again for next year!
Natasha
The property was amazing, well furnished and immaculate. It was so clean it looked brand new. I loved my stay here this week and my furry friend loved it too. The area was amazing, the town was lovely and we had a very nice, relaxing stress free week. The gifts were a very nice personal touch and it just made me feel so welcome. I will definitely be recommending this property to others and I would love to come back and stay again. 1110 stay, it was amazing.
Alison
This property is perfection! Extremely cosy, impeccably clean and well thought out to make maximum use of space. The surrounding scenery is stunning, and the whole place feels isolated and private. It was exactly what I was looking for. I had daily visits from Mrs Lloyd the farm cat who is very friendly and affectionate. Its very difficult to put into words quite how wonderful this place is. I cannot wait to visit again.
This pod is absolutely beautiful. Set in the most beautiful surroundings. It is perfect for a visit to the coast or countryside walks. The pod is immaculately clean. There is everything you could need, and everything is of the best quality. Very well thought out from the path leading to it and the large secure area around, and everything else besides. Plenty of inside storage under the bed. Comfy, warm and cosy. I could not recommend this gorgeous little place enough. I can't wait to visit again in the future.
Sophie
The pod was absolutely beautiful. Very clean and cosy. The pod is very secluded so you have lots of privacy. There's plenty of outdoor space for the dog which was perfect for us. I would 100 stay here again. However, unfortunately we did run into a few minor issues with the hot tub, there was a leak in the tub which resulted in us having to refill the tub several times which in turn cooled it right down. I have sent the owners a private message to inform them Id recommend bringing some fire wood or kindling with you also! Mrs Lloyd came to say hello a few times, she's so friendly!
Isabel
Such a lovely and clean property, very inviting and welcoming. The scenery is amazing and it is so tranquil. Some lovely walks around and not far from towns and the coast. Would highly recommend. My only query was the hot tub as it had a small leak and we were not provided with that information before arrival however we managed to work it eventually.
Lovely place to stay. Nice and peaceful and clean. Will definitely be booking again. The cat was very friendly too.
We had a lovely time at the property. We were greeted at the gate and escorted to the property by Mrs Lloyd who regularly checked up on us. There was an issue with the central heating upon arrival but was quickly rectified by the owners. The hot tub was rather disappointing though. There is a water leak on the top inlet hose from the fire which meant low water levels. There is also a filter missing from the same inlet hose into the hot tub which meant ash was in the water.
Carmen
Was a lovely stay, the place was very clean and very well looked after with modern interior. Such a beautiful and secluded location. We very much enjoyed our stay, thank you.
Limited storage for clothes would benefit with a few baskets under settee .
Absolutely flawless, no faults at all!
Great secluded stay, perfect for escaping the fireworks that scare our dog on bonfire night. There is one pod in the field next door and a couple houses nearby but its designed so that its pretty private for both. Amazing peaceful surroundings, river stream on your doorstep! Mrs Lloyd owners cat was a character and very sweet! WiFi is also very good youll need it as no signal Hot tub got up to heat in November give it a couple hours and a big fire. A little more kindling to get it going would be nice though. The price is very fair for such a great spot at a nice property. There were a couple downsides but only worth noting and didnt detract from our stay The blinds are quite awkward and one kept falling off. They are also more like privacy semitransparent rather than blackout so we found there was no point using them Storage is very limited as you might expect, dont bring huge bags. Slight odour in bathroom noticeable occasionally, nothing an air freshener couldnt help Mattress and pillows not the best but got used to it A bit more info in booklet may be helpful e.g. walks, using hot tub, recommendations nearby Nothing against the property but we found much of the shops, cafes, restaurants etc in surrounding towns are more often than not closed during off season. We highly recommend this if youre looking for a peaceful getaway and is perfect for a dog too.
This is a perfect holiday spot. The location is fantastic it is tucked away in the midst of Snowdonia, however it is only a short drive to local attractions and eateries! It is a lovely pod, so spacious and cosy! Clare and Gethin were so friendly and accommodating We will definitely go again, and would recommend it to anyone! Just be nice to Mrs Lloyd!
I recently stayed at Briallen and what a wonderful stay. The cottage was so homely and deceivingly spacious, even though there is another pod it is very private. I would definitely recommend and i will be returning
Rachael
Location was absolutely perfect, and the views were incredible. The pod had all the essentials needed for a lovely stay.
Joanne
Instructions on how to operate the hot tub and how long it takes to heat up would have been beneficial
Lovely little pod in a quiet and scenic location, carefully placed to not be overlooked by the farmhouse or the pod in the adjacent field. Kitchenette works best for twopan and microwave meals, but good choice of pubseateries within 2025 mins drive. Hot tub works well, just build a good fire in the burner and give it a couple of hours first.
We had a wonderful stay in Briallen, the pod was ideal, and very clean and we'll equipped, the surrounding area was beautiful, lovely to sit and listen to the river. We will definitely recommend and return to this property.
The pod and its surroundings were gorgeous! It was really nice to be surrounded by wildlife and our neighbours four little black sheep were lovely. My dog loved having all that space to roam. Unfortunately the mattress wasnt that comfy, the springs really dug in and the feathers from the pillows kept spiking us.
The property is in an excellent location however don't take to many clothes as ... The property is in an excellent location however don't take to many clothes as there is no where to put them also there is no oven but apart from this I had a very relaxing break
Lovely location. Really close to Barmouth . Instant hot water good WiFi . Will book again . Thanks for renting your great cabin . Cheers wayne ,Lorraine and Charlie x
Amazing, cute little cottage for two. Really well presented and felt like a really cute little hobbit hole. Would definitely escape here again. I won't let it detriment the review, but I'd recommend blackout blinds for the windows. In the summer, it obviously lights up the whole hut pretty quick. But isn't really a problem with the pod. Absolutely great little snug.
