Trem y Don is tucked away on the outskirts of the peaceful village of Dolgarrog, Conwy, in the heart of the Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park. Built in 1922, this quaint, single-story annexe is the perfect romantic retreat for couples, while also being family-friendly and pet-friendly, should you want to bring along your little ones or your furry ones.
On arrival, find off-road parking and take a minute to admire your elevated position in the rural space between Dolgarrog and Trefriw, overlooking the Conwy valley. The interior has a beautiful four-poster double bedroom and a bathroom with a bath and shower over it for when it is time to rest and refresh between fun-filled days.
The kitchen is well-equipped with all the essentials, so you can enjoy a lovely home-cooked meal, along with a handy washing machine for your laundry needs. From here, the sitting room is the perfect place to curl up with a good book by the woodburning stove or challenge your partner to a game of table football for your evening entertainment, and there is also a doll house and other games for any children in your group.
Step outside into the garden, where you can enjoy the peaceful surroundings from the hot tub, nestled under the pagoda and perfect to soak in any time of year. The decked area is the perfect spot for a leisurely breakfast, while furniture makes for a great place to relax in the afternoon sun with a drink of your choice!
For a peaceful nook, head to the Meditation Area, set in the forest, where you can feel at one with nature whilst lounging on the private hammock. Finishing off the property is a shed that also provides storage for bikes and sports equipment if you’re looking to explore the picture-perfect national park.
