Llethr - Shepherds Hut Reviews

We absolutely loved our stay here! The shepherds hut is amazing and is exactly as listed online. The guest book was really helpful for learning information about the local area and where things are kept in the hut, etc. Even in January, despite not using the hottub, we used all facilities and the log fire kept us so warm in the evenings. The views are amazing, and we found this a good location for driving to climb Snowdon in the early hours of the morning. The local town has a couple of pubs for the evening and petrol stations and a little food shop if you need to get food whilst on your stay. The hosts were lovely! Have nothing bad to say or any improvements it was great and we are so happy we booked to stay here thank you!
Great hosts the shepherds hut was perfect . We will be defiantly be back
Absolutely amazing stay! Cosy, lovely cabin with breath taking views to wake up to each morning! We had the best bedroom in the world. The hosts were so so caring and helpful during our stay, making our stay extremely relaxing. We enjoyed firing up the hot tub each evening and the lovely walks in the area, 1010 would recommend this as a getaway! We really enjoyed ourselves here xx
Alison
Llethr and its location were stunning. The hosts had thought of everything, and were lovely. Accommodation was perfect, extremely clean, well looked after and comfortable. The distance to the pub is a gorgeous 7km walk over stunning scenery, and there was plenty of other walks around to with a map in accommodation to check out. We later enjoyed a lovely soak in the woodfired hot tub. We will certainly be revisiting this place, and would highly recommend others to.
Isabel
We had an absolutely magical weekend away in our shepherd's hut. The owner was so lovely and recommended us a brilliant walk across Rhinog Fach just opposite the hut, which was the perfect way to spend our 10 year wedding anniversary! If you want peace and quiet then this is the place for you, the hot tub under the stars was amazing. One thing for future guests, be sure to do a food shop or or researchbook restaurants ahead as you are genuinely a 15 minute drive from the village!
Amazing accommodation and the hosts were lovely and welcoming
Louise
Such a wonderful location and lovely place, we really enjoyed getting the hot tub fired up each evening, watching wildlife watching a barn owl from the hot tub was a real treat! , the star gazing and the lovely walking on the doorstep. The shepherds hut was well equipped, and had everything we needed. Lots to do around, just a fab place to stay!
We had a fantastic stay at the shepherd hut this weekend. The views surrounding the property are breathtaking and the hut itself is comfortable and clean. The hot tub is wood fired and all the wood, kindling and matches are provided. There is an outside stovebbq pit which is a nice addition to book breakfast and dinner outside too. I couldnt fault this place , we had such a nice time and the hosts are welcoming and super friendly. My only tip would be to bring bug spray or repellent. I came home with lots of bites which cant be helped but wish I had taken some spray with me!
Gorgeous hut set in the most beautiful location. The owner was kind enough to greet us with a warm welcome as we arrived, plus the additional touch of a bottle of wine and some welsh cakes was lovely. Both owners were very kind, attentive and provided us with plenty of information regarding the local area. The hut itself catered for everything that youd need for a break away and it is evident from the finishing touches that the owners have put there heart and soul into the hut to make it a very special place.
Wonderful holiday property located in the beautiful national park region of Wales nestled amongst the Rhinogydd mountain range absolutely stunning views, especially for those interested in hill walking and exploring the mountains, which are literally on your doorstep. This location has much to offer any type of holiday maker even during the rainy periods from those wanting to be 'off grid' to those wanting to explore further by visiting various heritage sites, such as castles, travelling in style on real steam railways, walking on the beach or participating in more adventurous activities at Zip World. The owners are very friendly, attentive and quick to respond to any questions or issues you may have overall, a fantastic holiday destination during which we explored everything that Wales has to offer highly recommended.
Michelle
What a stunning place! Very friendly, helpful people! It was exactly what we were looking for, nestled in the mountains. The bed was really comfortable, and it was cosy and warm. We didn't feel cold at any point. We have shared and recommended it to our friends and family, and we will definitely be back .
Courtney
We met Eleri on the day of arrival and she was so welcoming and lovely. The Hut itself was beautiful and very clean! We enjoyed our much needed weekend and the hot tub was very easy to use after her showing us what to do. Me and Connor would definitely return one day. There was complimentary wine and Welsh cakes to make the experience even better. Very peaceful and quiet place!
Oliver
Perfect hosts, perfect location.
We booked for 3 nights but I wish it was 3 weeks! We booked a little time away for our 10 year anniversary and being in the hut and being able to lock away the world for 3 days is the best thing we have ever done. We actually managed to spend quality time together away for day to day life. The location was breathtaking and the Shepards hut is everything you could ask for, already looking forward to going back next year Jay
Danielle
This place will take some beating it really is out of this world! We have visited many places but this by far was the most breathtaking. The attention to detail, the well made Shepards huts and the welcoming hearts of the owners make it even more special! Thank you so much for sharing your farm and land with the world as its just so beautiful. We feel so lucky and will definitely be retuning in the future. A huge thank you and we will see you soon
Samantha
The most relaxing week imaginable, a real escape in a cosy, clean and beautiful Shepherds Hut, owned by a truly lovely family, who were very welcoming and informative. Were really grateful that they have chosen to share this beautiful part of the world. Thank you!
Azizur
My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights for our anniversary and it was incredible. The beautiful Shepherds hut was as it was described in the listing but the view was just perfect. An ideal stay for avid walkers, star gazers whilst in the hot tub of course! or even just somewhere to relax with your loved one. Definitely will be returning! Thank you Eleri&Gwyndaf.
The hut is gorgeous! Loved all of the little details and how much thought had gone into making use of the space. We really enjoyed our stay, thank you!
Matthew

Dominika
We had a wonderful time, a beautiful place with amazing views and calming silence. Very friendly and helpful owners.
Taylor
We celebrated our 30th Wedding anniversary here and wouldn't change anything. We received accurate directions, were kept fully informed and received the warmest welcome from Eleri. Her knowledge about the history of the farmhouse and her passion for her surroundings is evident when speaking to her. Everything was just perfect. A huge thank you for sharing the beautiful location.
Absolutely stunning place to stay. Just what we were looking for. The hut was fantastic and the views to match. We will definitely go back
Frances
My husband and I were taken aback by the beauty of the area and the property itself. Perfect for those who want to get away from it all but hate the idea of camping. We definitely will be coming back.
Samantha
Absolutely beautiful shepherds hut. Amazing area. The owners were so so so nice very friendly. We would highly recommend staying here. We will definitely be returning in the future.
Edward
My wife and I had a wonderful stay in a shepherds hut. Very cosy, very clean and an amazing location. The view was breathtaking and interesting walks right on the door step.
This beautiful shepherds hut is perfect for a couple who want a semi rural get away. The hut is comfortable well equipped with most things but if you need anything the hosts Gwyndaf & Eleri, are very helpful. We wished we couldve stayed longer!
Super place to stay. In a wonderful location. If you are craving peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle this is the place to be. Very welcoming owners, had plenty of time to talk to us and help us settle into the area. Bottle of wine and welsh cakes was a lovely touch and much appreciated after a long journey. Shepard's hut was immaculate and well stocked with everything you need. Will definitely be visiting again.
Ashleigh
I cannot recommend this absolutely beautiful location enough! Eleri the owner met us on arrival with such open arms as she guided us around the Shepard Hut. Accommodation was absolutely spotless with such a homely feeling and Eleri provided us some red wine and welsh cakes, so sweet! The photos really dont give this place enough credit the views and mountains were beyond breathtaking! My partner and I enjoyed our wine in the hot tub taking in the views, as it went dark we watched the stars came out. We thank you and cannot wait to see you again next year!
We had such a fantastic stay! The shepherd hut was incredibly cosy and clean, with everything you could need for a weekend away. We loved the hot tub and cooking with the fire pit. We didn't want to leave it was in such a beautiful location. Fab hosts who were extremely helpful and friendly.
Perfect ! Wonderful location, beautiful hut, everything thought of to make a wonderful holiday ! Friendly owners, very helpful, highly recommended.
Fantastic location, so peaceful. Accommodation was spotless, hot tub was a real treat, Eleri even stoked it up for us while we were out to make sure it was ready for our return. Would go back in a heartbeat.
Lovely little hut, very luxurious and amazing views. A beautiful location and a great holiday.
The stay was fantastic. The owner was there on arrival to meet us, they are very friendly and welcoming. Beautiful location and amazing views, the hut was beautiful. Thank you
Had the best holiday ever here, stayed for a week and it wasnt long enough! The photos really dont give it enough credit the views and mountains around are beautiful and highly recommended climbing mount rhinog just outside the hut as was nothing weve ever seen. Eleri was amazing and there to greet us and only across the road to help with anything we needed. The hut was amazing clean and had everything we needed, even had the ice cube tray filled up ready for us which we wouldnt expect anywhere else! made many happy memories this week and cant wait to book again.
Samantha
Fantastic set up, like being home from home. The owner was there on arrival to meet us, very friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. Couldnt have asked for anything more. It was everything and more than expected. Thank you x

The stay was perfect! Eleri was nearby if we needed anything and the property had much more than we thought it would, 100 would recommend 3 nights didnt seem long enough! We brought our own coffee pods for the coffee machine which came in handy!
Fantastic stay from start to finish. The hut was beautifully presented and really clean. The owners have finished the hut to a high standard, and had thought of everything. We cant wait to return again next summer! Thank you for a perfect weekend break.
