The Barn at Waunlippa Reviews

Natalie
We had a fabulous stay at The Barn at Waunlippa. It was a lovely relaxing and cosy stay, cottage was great and grounds are beautiful, and I dont think the online pictures do the place justice. A great base for exploring Pembrokeshire. Patrick and Orsola were great hosts. Very welcoming and gave us some good tips on local walks after we got a little muddy on our first day. The dogs had a great time too still exhausted even though we returned 2 days ago after enjoying the amazing beaches! When we return to Pembrokeshire we will definitely stay here again!
Beautiful accommodation and lovely grounds. The perfect base for a holiday in Pembrokeshire. A cosy barn conversion, perfect for 2, plus canine companions! The hosts were great, very welcoming and friendly. They were there if needed, but not obtrusive.....we enjoyed our little chats beside the lovely pond each day.. Totally recommend the accommodation, hosts and gorgeous outdoor space.
Lovely hosts Idyllic location near to Narbeth local beaches walks. Peaceful setting added bonus of hot tub.
A gem, ideal location to explore Pembrokeshire with first class hosts. The grounds spacious ideal for furry friends and very quiet and peaceful. The added bonus of the owners culinary skills much appreciated 5.

Great get away. Friendly owner. But basic facilities needs updating. Beautiful garden. Internet and phone covage poor.
Hosts very welcoming. Full use of lovely grounds permitted. Owner is a chef and I had a delicious meal one evening. Very quiet location but easy reach of Narbeth town .Good base for exploring further afield such as Tenby.
Excellent and look forward to going again
Amazing place! Orsola and Patrick are incredible hosts and we can't wait to come back D
A very warm welcoming to a beautiful Barn in the countryside. Peaceful environment, perfect way to unwind from our busy lives. The Barn had everything we needed. Narberh up the road where we rambled around and experienced a take away. The Boars head In templeton is a must. Out host created a magnificent home made two course meal at the Barn. Definitely worth a stay
All satisfactory, lovely barn. Thank you for the lovely meal.
All satisfactory, lovely barn. Thank you for the lovely meal.
We loved our 3 night stay at the barn. Despite the very rainy weather, our break was relaxing and just what was needed. Orsola is a fantastic host and couldnt be more welcoming. We would thoroughly recommend booking some dinners in with Orsola a wonderful treat! The hot tub was a lovely treat which made up for the bad weather! The fire kept the barn very warm and cosy and made our stay really special. The grounds are beautiful and we would love to come back in the summer months to enjoy these in the drier weather. Totally recommend for a relaxing getaway.
Arrived to a cold cottage told the owner no heating working he just said i will bring a small heater dint give enough heat out in the bedroom so so so cold. came back from a day out to a offensive note pined on the doorsaying hot tub was dirty he had filled it with gallons of chlorine which hurt your eyes when we took the lid off. never been checked every day . he said there was suncream in the water wish we had seen sun in late september. we was so upset we left on the same night to a 6hrs drive home . spoke to sykes when we came back they said they could only speak to the owner . no regrets that the owner had ruined our holiday not even a small refund . we lost 3 days of our holiday . i booked this cottage because of the good reviews ????.

It is a perfect location to be still and enjoy rural life. Being near the beach is a bonus along with the hot tub. The cottage is perfect for a week's break. The hosts are warm friendly and not intrusive. I would highly recommend this location for anyone needing to recharge.

The barn is a lovely cottage, comfortable and homely with nice touches such as the hot tub, and particularly the beautiful two acre grounds with pond and a stream, which we, and our dog Floss, really loved! It is well placed for the coast and attractions, but with enough outside space to chill out in if you just need to rest and recharge. Patrick and Orsola were the perfect hosts, nothing was too much trouble, and they were so welcoming and friendly. We have been to a lot of holiday cottages over the years but this one stands out as the best place we have been.

The Barn was lovely with fantastic grounds to walk round. The hosts Orsola and Patrick made us very welcome, it was interesting to meet such a talented chef and hear of her achievements. The hot tub was very relaxing and we are looking forward to a return visit.
Really relaxing stay, brilliant for the dogs and with an authentic Italian pizza from Orsola the Tailor Made Chef, couldn't be better.
I had a Wonderful Holiday there . ....... Lovely people, Fantastic Garden, Super Food cooked by Orsola, Lovely Hot Tub, nice Quiet spot too. Everything was perfect, thankyou.

A great place to stay, ideally positioned for all that Pembrokeshire has to offer. We received a lovely warm welcome from Patrick and Orsola and will definitely return. Thoroughly recommend!
Patrick, Orsola & Raf were incredible hosts, we had an absolutely perfect break. Barn was clean, tidy and hot tub was an added bonus. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The lake and grounds were a little piece of heaven. We really didnt want to leave, thank ylu so much Chris, Tracey and George x

Lovely location and cottage the hot tub was great Lovely hot shower and powerful ... Lovely location and cottage the hot tub was great Lovely hot shower and powerful sofa although a 2 seater has a slope when sitting on it very comfortable bed lovely grounds for dog to walk around on a lead underfloor heating was ample for us not using the log burner all in all a lovely couple of days away thanks to Patrick and Orsola
Was a fantastic place apart from the weather everything else was amazing I would definitely stay again
Great cottage nice and quiet one advantage to us was that we had no mobile phone access at the cottage. Underfloor heating was great. The garden and pond were nice to walk around the dogs loved the garden and the courtyard. The owner gave us a much safer route rather than the satnav . Great place to stay would like to visit again.
A cosy barn conversion in a lovely countryside location but close enough to the beaches, Market towns and lovely walks. The owners Orsola and Patrick are extremely friendly and helpful. Orsola is also a top class Italian chef who makes amazing food if you fancy a cosy romantic meal. Great place and great people in a great location. Well worth visiting.
Patrick and Orsola were fantastic hosts, respecting our privacy but always on hand when we needed them. Will definitely stay here again next time we come to Wales.
The barn was very comfortable and clean. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was lovely. Gareth was not able to access the hot tub due to a knee problem, also he had a cold so did not go in. The grounds are lovely around the property and there is plenty of seating to relax, the lack of phone signal is actually a good thing as you feel that you have escaped the rat run. A lovely place to totally relax. Patrick and Orsola are very friendly hosts. I would like to return for another holiday there so we will wait and see.
Andrew
This is one of lifes special places. The accommodation was fabulous as is the setting. The gardens are extensive and as important a part of the stay as anything else , I found a favourite spot with a comfy seat and a good book and didnt want to move. The hosts are genuinely lovely folk, there when you need them but otherwise unseen. Orsolas cooking is truly an event and not to be missed. The location is ideal, quiet but 20 minutes of some lovely beaches and woodland walks. To be fair I cant wait to return!
Andrew
Clean lovely small holiday home. The private hot tub was lovely to sit and relax Owner are very friendly and welcoming Will definitely stay again and would recommend to any couple looking for a quite relaxing place to stay
What a find! Exceeded all expectations. The setting is delightful, the hosts exceptionally welcoming and friendly, and the property comfortably furnished with every possible thing you could need with some lovely attention to detail. Cant recommend highly enough.
Patrick & Orsola have created a fantastic holiday property for 2 people in a beautiful, quiet country setting. Great location with lots to see and do within a hour of the property. We were made to feel very welcome and the meals prepared by Orsola were a highlight of our stay.
We thought the property was fantastic. Really comfortable, great garden and lovely welcoming hosts. The hot tub was wonderful. Superb location for the beaches of Pembrokeshire.
Angela
We had a wonderful time at the barn . We received a very warm welcome from the hosts Orsola & Patrick who couldnt do enough for us. The Barn had everything we needed and more. The hot tub was a relaxing treat at the end of a long walk . We explored the area of West Wales and used the literature found in the barn to plan our day. We will definitely return to this lovely barn !
We have just had a lovely holiday in this beautiful little barn conversion. It is a perfect place for a couple, with everything you need for a comfortable stay, clean and well equipped and set in beautiful peaceful grounds, with the bonus of an amazing hot tub which is perfect for those evenings in or if not there is a lovely log burner instead. A great place to relax and unwind. The location is great its not far at all to the coast where there are several beautiful sandy beaches. We did several coastal walks while we was there with totally stunning views and loads of wildlife. And not to far to drive to penderyn distillery for a tour and there shop. Orsola and Patrick made us very welcome and Orsola cooked us our wedding anniversary meal which was amazing
Nicola
Really enjoyed our stay. The surroundings and grounds are lovely and very quiet , even saw the beautiful peacock on several occasions. Reliable train times to Tenby and close to places to visit such as saundersfoot, pendine sands. We went to Colby gardens and walked to Amroth which is well worth doing. We found Narberth not particularly dog friendly . Blessed with lovely weather to make the most of this lovely part of Wales.
