The Old Farm Shop Reviews

Extremely friendly welcome from the owners, very homely feel to the cottage with everything you need to hand. The decor has been thoughtfully done and the hot tub was really relaxing and we felt thoroughly chilled out in the quiet surroundings. Great beaches and woodland walks to explore within a relatively short distance. The garden was secure so our dog was free to roam, which was great. We have been to the area many times, this was our first stay at the Old Farm Shop but it wont be our last our next stay is already booked. We highly recommend the cottage.
Excellent holiday very close to lots of lovely beaches. Cottage very comfortable great hot tub and very friendly owners thank you
We absolutely loved our 2 week holiday spent at The old Farm Shop in May. The property has been converted to a really high standard by the owners and is a credit to them. We found it to be very clean & well kept, with everything you need for your holiday. It has wonderful countryside views over the field to the rear. We booked the property as we were looking for somewhere quiet and away from the hustle and bustle and it looked like it would be peaceful when I looked on Google earth before booking which it was! We loved its location and particularly relaxing there after a long day exploring the area. Luckily the weather was great, so we ate outside on the picnic table most evenings, it was lovely to have the hot tub too! The owners are close by and very helpful, lovely peoplethey gave us lots of great recommendations for the area, as we werent that familiar with Pembrokeshire .but what an area! there are loads of dog friendly beaches & coastal walks so it was perfect for us. We would definitely book again! Thank you so much. Emma Peter and Cookie
The Old Farm Shop is a very nice, comfortable, clean and well equipped cottage with the owners living close by to provide any information required about the property or area. The cottage is in a good central point for exploring Pembrokeshire and not too far from lovely beaches and costal walks. Narberth is very close and is a lovely town with lots of nice shops including a very good butchers and cake shop. We had a lovely stay with our little Shorkie dog with lots to do and beautiful scenery we will definitely be returning thank you Geraint and Sian X
Rachel
We had a wonderfully relaxing stay at The Old Farm Shop and we will definitely be back in the future! Thank you for making us feel so welcome.
Thank you so much for a lovely stay! The property was excellent and you were excellent hosts.
Excellent stay?
The Old Farm Shop is tucked away off the A40 and if you want peace and quiet it?s the perfect setting. Geraint and Sian are great hosts and very friendly (if you?re into rugby, then ask Geraint about his playing days!) while the cottage is excellently set out with great views from the lounge and decking. It?s also spotless and has everything you?ll need for a relaxing stay?even a hot tub. It is also ideally placed for touring around Pembrokeshire, while Narberth is only ten minutes away, with its shops and restaurants (try Mad Toms!) and some of the best open beaches you?ll find are close by. Five stars, easily.
Mr
This place is a fantastic find ,tucked away in a quiet lane. The quality of the place is amazing with everything you will need for your stay. The owners make sure your stay is comfortable and are very friendly and informative, I especially liked hearing some of Geraints rugby stories. Having the hot tub is great especially in the welsh rain, the water temperature made sure you didn?t bother even in the middle of a squall .
A fantastic property and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very well equipped and we would definitely stay again!
Enjoyed our break in Wales and weather was a bonus. Cottage is poorly maintained. Tv reception extremely poor and at times unwatchable. No electric kettle and barbecue supplied as shown in listing. Decking is extremely dangerous and rotting away behind hot tub, and hot tub cover has not been mended as commented in earlier reviews.
It was our second time visiting and it didn't disappoint us. We love The Old Farm Shop. So peaceful and just what we needed before a busy start back at school. I was visiting with just my children and it was wonderful to know that if we needed anything the owners were so close by.
Debbie
We had a wonderful holiday despite the weather! They cottage was very comfortable and well equipped. Perfectly situated for exploring Pembrokeshire. Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts. Thank you.
Wonderful stay in a lovely cottage. It has everything you need and is spotless. The setting is off the beaten track, making it just perfect if you want peace and quiet. Very relaxing. Its five mins or so from the A40, meaning everywhere in Pembrokeshire is easily accessible and if youve never been then go! Everyone is so friendly. Geraint and Sian are excellent, friendly hosts and if youre a rugby fan then ask Geraint about his playing days!
Samuel
We were made very welcome by Geraint and Sian. They even let our little one borrow some outdoor toys to play with which he loved. The cottage itself was absolutely stunning and was very comfortable. The Hot Tub was a nice touch.
Fantastic stay at The Old Farm Shop, everything was clean and prepared for the time we arrived, with plenty of logs being left in the living room to keep us warm at night. The only very slight hinderance to the weekend was down to the Chiminea not being available for use. We will be looking at coming back to The Old Farm Shop in the future! Thanks again for your hospitality
Gorgeous property, we had a very relaxing stay. Great communication with the owners and would definitely stay here again.
Great property, perfect for a mid week getaway. Hosts were super friendly and on hand to deal with any questions. Lots to do in local area. We would definitely return to the Old Farm Shop in future!
We had a lovely stay at the old farm shop. The location was very peaceful which is just what we needed when we are so busy at home. The cottage catered perfectly for us, our baby and the dog. There are so many lovely walks and dog friendly beaches nearby. The log burner was our favourite feature and we are very grateful to the owners for restocking the logs so regularly given we stayed during the coldest week of the year.
2nd visit and as good as before. Spacious accommodation with everything you need. It's great that everything is on one level especially for our miniature dachshund who's not great with steps. The hot tub is amazing, especially gazing up at the stars on a clear night. It's also in great location and close to Tenby and Narberth which are two of our favourite places. Will definitely book again.
Anthony
This property was top class and clearly looked after. We had no complaints at all about the Old Farm Shop and would highly recommend it.
Lovely cottage. Hot tub was a great addition to our holiday. Hosts were very welcoming and helpful. Would love to go back
We absolutely loved The Old Farm Shop. It is a wonderful property, beautifully set out, in a great place with lovely views. The hot tub is amazing. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly, and also informative and helpful about the surrounding area. They couldn't have been better hosts. We will definitely recommend this property for future holidays to family and friends, and we will return without any doubt. The only improvement we can suggest is to improve the TV signal as sometimes it was difficult to watch or get signal on some channels. .Thank you for our stay. We had a fantastic week in a lovely holiday home
A fabulous cottage in a wonderful location a superb base for holidaying in Pembrokeshire and the surrounding area. The cottage was clean, modern and is clearly well looked after. The location is private and peaceful and created a perfect getaway for a muchneeded restful week.
Christine
Had a good holiday in this beautiful cottage. Some of the furnishings eg. Rugs and cushions could do with changing seen their best. The owners were very helpful and friendly. On the original Sykes photos it shows a gas BBQ please note this is not there now so we could not BBQ but we had some lovely meals in Narberth and the local area. Would stay here again if holidaying in Wales.
Eleanor
Fantastic holiday cottage and very helpful hosta. Looking forward to going back.
Gerald
Lovely cottage with an ideal layout for two couples and a fantastic location overlooking farmland right in the heart of Pembrokeshire.
Steven
Great welcome from the hosts. The cottage is very well equipped and homely and relaxing. The hot tub is a very nice addition I would definitely recommend this cottage
Patricia
We had a great time and wouldn't hesitate in recommending it to friends and family. It's exactly as advertised and in a beautiful part of Wales. Geraint and Sean were great hosts and really keen to ensure we enjoyed our stay. Thank you!!
The old farm shop is ideally situated and nice and quiet. Loved looked up at the stars from the hot tub and seeing the lambs bouncing around the surrounding field was hilarious. We've already booked to go back later in the year.
Sophie
The Old Farm Shop is a beautiful house and Sian and Geraint were brilliant hosts friendly and helpful but respectful of our privacy. The lounge is so cosy and relaxing with the added bonus of the wood burning fire. We loved cooking and eating in the modern kitchendining area and of course took full advantage of the hot tub which overlooks fields and allows for some great star gazing. We absolutely loved our stay and can't wait to come back soon!
What a lovely holiday home so comfortable with everything you need for a relaxing holiday.
Dorothy
Had a short stay in Pembrokeshire which was unfortunately, cut short due to a family bereavement. However, the short time we stayed in the cottage, it was perfect. Geraint and Sian were perfect hosts and very friendly and welcoming. Enjoyed the lovely gifts they left us, ie wine, flowers and home grown tomatoes, what else could a girl wish for. The cottage was exactly as described and we could not fault anything at all. Wish we could have stayed the full week, but we will definitely be back and cannot wait to stay again. Im sure my dad will be looking down on me and encouraging us to explore the beautiful area of Pembrokeshire and Wales. We will be back in the not too distant future, Dorothy and Dennis
The Old Farm Shop is a wonderful place to stay, and the owners are great hosts. Very easy to find and in beautiful settings. I highly recommend. A few things I would point out for information though, if you are a dog owner looking to book here 1 you have to drive to all walks as all of the local fields are privately owned. 2 there are no scales to weigh out dog food. 3 there are very few local eateries that allow dogs inside. That said, I'd still book again with my dog
We had a super stay at The Old Farm Shop. We were very comfortable and the outdoor space was perfect. The hot tub was a lovely bonus. Geraint and Sian were lovely, welcoming hosts.
Geraint and Sian are lovely hosts and happy to help if you need anything. We asked if the hot tub could be made a little warmer and this was sorted no problem. The cottage is nice and very peaceful with a modern feel, kitchen and bathrooms etc whilst retaining some of the original character and features. A lovely part of Wales to explore!
The property is run down not as per photos carpets dirty , mould in the shower cubicle . . cracked walls and ceilings doors not closing properly , toilet seat in bedrooom 2 did not fit , temperature in rooms excessive ... no fans , hot tub handle broken , no hot water on the first morning . Cheap plastic grotty film on the windows in bedroom , no tin opener ,weeds around the decking area near hot tub, broken parasol damaged external doors and well over priced . Owners refused to give any refund .....
A very pleasant cottage. There are outstanding views over the fields to sit out and enjoy the sunset with a drink or even a session in the hot tub. Even the cows came to visit their water trough next to the cottage. A very quiet area with good walks around the village. The cottage is not far from Narberth where there are lovely shops to purchase all your needs. Other places to visit include Picton Castle, Pembroke Castle and the Pendine sands with Wisemans Bridge and Tenby near by.
A fantastic place to stay. Myself and my children have just returned from here and it's one of the best places we have stayed. It has everything you could ever need while on holiday. So quiet and beautiful and the owners are friendly and helpful. A car is necessary to visit all the amazing coastlines. We can't wait to book again.
Claire
The Old Farm Shop was so enjoyable from the minute we were greeted by our hosts, to the day of departure. They were so friendly and welcoming. The cottage was very well equipped and you had everything to hand. It was cosy with a lovely decor, the bath was a great surprise and made life easier with our young children. The views across the fields were stunning and we had fun greeting the sheep and cows. We used the hot tub daily and this was a highlight after a day out exploring. Pembrokeshire has so much to offer, such as beaches, zoofarm attractions, National Trust walks, castles etc. The cottage sits in a fantastic location, Narberth is well worth a visit. We would definitely return.
